This Amish story has many life lessons that apply to all walks of life. A devastated young widow with two small children trying to be a great mom while suffering from the loss of her husband as well as her father and brother in a buggy accident is quite the trial. How she overcomes her grief is a gradual process and one to learn from in this book.
While reading book 2 of this series, Amish Greenhouse Mysteries, I easily imagined what it was like in their lives, in their homes and in their relationships.
It is well written by Wanda Brunstetter.  I've enjoyed all her books.I received a complimentary copy of this book from Barbour Publishing and was under no obligation to post a review.

The Mockingbird's Song is the second book of this Amish Greenhouse Mystery series. It's an excellent story of Sylvia, a woman that has recently lost her husband, father, and brother in a tragic buggy accident. She meets Dennis, a newcomer to the area and their friendship, starting with bird watching, quickly develops into more. This is a very clean story and like the first book of the series, it leaves a lot of unanswered questions at the end of the story, so we will have to wait for book 3 to find out who the illusive vandal is.

Love Wanda Brunstetter's books! This is the second in a series which started with the first one in "The Crow's Call". When I saw this one, I couldn't wait to start it. The story started in the first book when three family members were killed in a buggy accident with a truck. This can be a standalone book, however, I feel that if you read the first book you will definitely connect more with the family. In this book, Sylvia is the main character. Her husband, dad & brother were all killed in the accident. She really has struggled with the loss of all of them but especially her husband. Her sister, Amy, and her mom, Belinda, run the family greenhouse to keep the financial aspect of the family going. Her brother, Henry, also helps out frequently. Sylvia helps to run the household while also making sure her two young children are well taken care of. She rents out her home that she & Toby (her husband) previously lived in to Dennis. Dennis is an avid bird watcher and engages Sylvia & Henry in bird-watching also. I won't say much more but this was a well-written storyline. I can't wait for the third book to come out so I can find out the mystery part of who is trying to sabotage their family business.

I received an advance copy of this book from the the publisher, Shiloh Run Press, and Net Galley and I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to give my honest opinion of this book!
