Sadly this book just was not for me. This sat on my kindle for quite some time - twice I have attempted to read and twice I did not finish.

Thankyou for the opportunity but I will not be providing feedback on any commercial sites for this book.

This book was not for me. Not my genre and didn't finish it. The plot and characters just didn't catch my attention but best of luck with it.

So this story definitely fits into a novella box. At less than a hundred pages it is packed with a lot of storyline in a small box. Since there isn’t much space to waste there is a lot of fast paced action contained in the pages. The plot is intriguing, I almost wish the story were expanded so that we could explore the characters more and understand their motivations. If we lose anything in the fact that the story is a short one, it is that the there is a rushed nature to the story. Without the more thorough character and plot development there is a certain corny factor to the characters and the story, but it doesn’t do much to tarnish the story overall. I was kinda busy otherwise I would have finished this a lot quicker. Review posted to Facebook, Amazon, Litsy, And Goodreads.

What I liked about this book is that it is fast paced and has a very different plot line. I found it interesting to hear about EMFs from power lines cause cancer among other ailments. I do think it would have been better to go into a little more detail on the EMFs since people are killing people over the proposed energy bill in the book.

Also, I loved that the book was fast paced, however, it seemed to cut corners and depth just to hurry up and finish the book.

I liked the wittiness of the book, but some was a little over the top and wasn't necessary.

I would say this book is 3.5 stars, because the book felt too rushed.

Thanks Netgalley and publisher for my eARC in exchange for my honest review!

In Power Lies, bad guys resort to nasty deeds, including murder, to make sure a bill expanding power lines passes in Washington, D.C. The story is okay but reads like a first draft. There was a mix of characters, none of whom were well-developed, but the author did make sure that the closeted gay guy was a killer. Can't have any positive gay role models, can we now?
Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC.
