I really wanted to like this book but unfortunately I could not get into it. I do not think this was the one for me. The premise was super interesting, but towards the end to me it just fell apart. I was just not interested in the story.

A gripping read that makes you want more! Good thing this is a trilogy. Relatedable characters with light notes of humor kept the story flowing. Serena sheds light on the quiet girl stereotype and shows that there is more then meets the eye and they can be strong leads. I appreciate how the author shows the destructive path we humans are on and what we could possibly do to our plant without a course correction. The progression of technology is believable and eerie. Well written intriguing series!

After trying to begin the book, I was unable to continue due to my lack of interest. I will try to pick it up again at a later date, and if I am able to continue reading, I will post a more detailed review here.

I am extremely sorry, but this was not what I thought it would be and it doesn't suit my reading preferences. Thank you very much for the free e-ARC.

Thank you netgalley for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I read the first novel and I found it interesting but not compelling enough to read the other two in the series. While I liked the character building the author spends a lot of time doing it was too lengthy for a novel promising next generation evolution. Sirena seems like a reclusive teenage girl with severe social anxiety issues, paranoia and it's not till almost the end that we finally find out what she truly is. I also felt a bit disoriented with some of character shift. Sometimes it's difficult to know what going on.
Overall, I liked it as a YA sci-fi novel both main characters are well thought out and engaging.

This is a strong YA scifi series with likable characters and a well conceived plot. It's a little uneven at times, but still enjoyable overall. The plot has a nice amount of complexity and kept me engaged. Well written and fun.

Thanks very much for the review copy!!

The Deadly Earth Omnibus by L B Carter, is a dystopian trilogy about climate change and the quest for a solution.
To be honest I have very mixed feelings about this trilogy. I enjoyed the start of the first book, but by the end and for most of the second book I found it very disjointed and almost dnf it. It did improve by the third book, though, so as a whole I enjoyed it. The world was vividly built and the climate change wonderfully described and vivid.
This is a reasonably fast paced book when it gets going, with lots of action.
It does have multiple viewpoints, which in this case I'm not sure works. Because a lot of the characters don't know each other very well they all come across quite flat. Perhaps because of this I found some of the romances difficult to buy into, and some of the character development seemed to occur too quickly, and with very little to explain it.
I was confused for most of the time, something that was only resolved towards the end of the third book.
This is a nice story, and it talks about some important things, it's just not for you. Perhaps if you like multiple viewpoints give it a go. 3 stars
