What a fun, mystery filled with a plethora of corruption and underhanded dealings!

Jordan Reed, a Boston Courant reporter, just coming off of a national acclaimed story is looking to relax on her week's vacation...too bad for her another potential story just landed on her lap. Against her need for time off, she heads to Copper Lake, a small western Massachusetts town where hundreds of fish turned up dead, with no immediate cause and no one showing much concern, including the chief of police.

I loved Jordan and her fearless pursuit of the truth! It was entertaining to see how she pieced together all of the puzzle pieces. I loved the marina and the lake front setting were so nice to read about.. I'm a western Massachusetts native, so the story will always have a special place in my heart,

I look forward to seeing what else Jordan gets up to with her next story!

A special thank you to NetGalley, Chesterfield Press, and K.C. Gillis for providing me with an ARC.

Mystery with a familiar protagonist. She goes looking for news stories. She finds them solving mysteries in the process. This is a character driven novel with the protagonist and her family and friends. Dead fish...a marina having problems-two stories in one. This is a light story with characters the reader finds somewhat interesting but there is no depth to them or to the book. For a fun afternoon this might be a good read.
