ROMANCING NADINE is a wonderful continuation of the WELLS LANDING series and it was filled with family, friends, love and romance along with many characters we've met before. Jenna and Buddy are involved in this story too but it's all Nadine and Amos who are are both in their sixties. He's never married and is looking for love and God has brought him to Nadine. Nadine has been married and widowed twice and feels she's too old to love again. Even though there's an attraction between them she fights even their friendship tooth and nail. Set in Oklahoma it's a wonderful tale of Amish life although their Bishop doesn't seem to be as strict as some.

Amos is a romantic and goes to his Englischer friends that he used to work with to get suggestions on how to woo Nadine and get her to change her mind about them. All it seems to do is make her dig her heels in more firmly, or does it since Nadine can't make up her mind? It was interesting to watch their interactions and disheartening to see the fight and roadblocks Nadine kept putting up even though she was always looking for him and missed him when he wasn't there. Amos let his feelings show but how often can one man be shot down? Nadine's daughter in law's new puppy, Goldie, is quite rambunctious and gets into a lot of trouble. Is a pet the answer for Amos as well?

There are multiple stories going on and they are seamlessly woven together. The camels were back as were church Sundays, the local restaurant and bakery, and different events that the seniors participated in. There are some loose ends even with the epilogue that gives us the happily ever after. This is the ninth book in the series and I hope there will be more. It has a nice cover and it was interesting to read a story with older main characters who are my age.

Ms. Lillard is one of my go to authors. I love her Amish romances and have enjoyed her Amish mystery series too. I look forward to reading what she pens next.

Romancing Nadine by Amy Lillard is part of the Wells Landing Series. This is the first one I have read. I plan on reading the previous books..
Nadine is a widow and not looking for love. She is content to continue living with her daughter in law making a fresh start in Oklahoma. Amos has returned to his home after an extended trip visiting his family and spots Nadine at church services and is immediately smitten. Thus starts an uphill battle for him. She doesn't want to be romanced or does she...….
This is an easy to read, well written Amish romance with wonderful characters and family love.
I was given an ARC by NetGalley and the publisher for an honest review.

Fun and Entertaining

Romancing Nadine is another installment in Amy Lillard’s Wells Landing series. One of the things I love about this series is that each story is unique. Also, it’s fun catching up with characters from the prior books in the series. That being said, although it’s part of a series, it can be read as a standalone.

So, what makes Romancing Nadine unique? For one, Nadine and Amos are not your typical characters found in a story about romance. The reason? Their ages. Both are in their 60’s. It is such a rare occurrence to find a romance story involving characters in this age bracket, and I absolutely loved it! Most stories are about younger characters, but Romancing Nadine reminds us that love has not age limit.

Although Nadine and Amos are both in their 60’s, Nadine has been married twice, while Amos has never been married. And therewith lies the issue. Amos falls in love with Nadine, but has to work long and hard to convince Nadine that she needs to give love another chance and that they are meant to be together. Convincing her is no easy feat, but it is very entertaining.

Watching Nadine and Amos interacting with each other and discovering things about each other was so much fun. One minute I was laughing and the next I wanted to bop Nadine upside the head and knock some sense into her. While I understood her thinking and why she felt the way she did, she could also be very frustrating with how she was with Amos. However, Amos was not one to give up. Through it all Amos kept his trust in God and what he felt God wanted for Nadine and him.

Romancing Nadine isn’t just a romance story. It is fun, entertaining, and has a strong message of faith and how we need to always trust God. It reminds us that romance is ageless and that God has a plan for our life. All we need to do is have faith and trust in Him.

Amy Lillard takes us back to Wells Landing deep in the heart of Amish country. The rules are different here than most Amish communities but they do what works for for them. They are very open to new improved thinking.

Romancing Nadine was just a wonderful love story that captured my attention right away. This time the focus is on Jenna's Grandma Nadine. It's always good to read about someone close to my age and I loved that the focus was on a older couple and their struggles.

My favorite character was Amos who worked hard and knew so many different trades. He was loving, giving, and not one to give up easily.

I felt as though I was right there with them with such perfect descriptions. A great enjoyable read!

This book was given to me by the author. All the opinions are my own.

This was an excellent book. First time I have read an Amish book where the main character was an elder person. Every time there is a new book to this series I fall more in love with Amy Lillard. I feel as if I know every character personally. This is absolutely a book every Amish reader needs to read

I enjoy taking trips to Wells Landing, a small community of both Amish and English. This trip I got to visit with Amos and Nadine. They were such a sweet pair. Senior citizens no less. Nadine had just had a birthday and turned 65. I could certainly relate because I’m 66. She got up every morning with her aches and pains and her woe is me as she looked in the mirror and noticed all her facial wrinkles. Being a widow, twice, she had no interest in men or romance.
Now I found it interesting that Amos was 61 and never had been married. He even had a long gray bread, which I thought only married men in the Amish grew. Amos was so much fun and seemingly pretty laid back. When he saw Nadine for the first time after a church service he fell instantly in love. He eventually told Nadine that God had whispered to him that she was the one for him. No matter what he said or tried to do she would have no part of anything to do with romance.
They were such a fun couple to learn about. I loved their adventures. As a matter of fact I enjoyed visiting with all the characters and even throwing a ball with a puppy and a rescue dog.
It was refreshing to read a book about senior adults “dating” and getting to know one another. Older adults often find love too, it’s not just for young people, even though Nadine would disagree. We never know what God has planned for us, we just have to have open minds as we live and learn.
I received a complimentary ebook from the author but was not required to write a review.

This heartwarming and funny Amish love story shows readers that it's never too late to find love. Set in the Amish community of Wells Landing, Oklahoma, the story follows Amos Fisher, a sixty-two-year-old bachelor who has never married. When he sees Nadine Burkhart for the first time, he instantly falls in love with her and feels that God wants them to be together. Nadine, a twice-widowed sixty-five-year-old mother and grandmother, thinks Amos is out of his mind, and that she's too old for romance. Will Amos succeed in winning her heart?

This was a well-written and engaging read, with a vivid setting, well-developed characters, and realistic family relationships. I loved the premise of the story and thought it was refreshing that the story focused on an older couple. The chemistry between Amos and Nadine was wonderful, and some of their interactions had me laughing out loud. I enjoyed watching their romance progress. The conclusion will warm your heart and leave you with a smile on your face. If you're a fan of this genre, then I highly recommend this wonderful story of love, faith, new beginnings, and not being afraid to get out of your comfort zone and enjoy all that life has to offer.

Thank you to NetGalley and Kensington Books for the opportunity to read this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Romancing Nadine is a sweet, funny story about love in the Amish community of Wells Landing, Oklahoma, where Amy Lillard shows that you are never too old to fall in love. Amos Fisher, a sixty two year old bachelor who has never married, falls in love with sixty five year old Nadine Burkhart when he sees her at church. He feels that God wants them to be together. Nadine is a mother and grandmother and has buried two husbands and a son. She thinks that Amos is out of his mind-she is too old to date and besides one time of being in love is all that she will ever have. No one can take place of her first love. What ensues is a delightful time of Amos doing whatever he can to woe Nadine but she is just as determined that he won't win her over. Their chemistry is delightful as they bicker over everything.
There is a great cast of characters in the story. Nadine's daughter in law Charlotte lives with her while Charlotte's daughter is living with a family and is helping out with the family's twin daughters. Charlotte is having her own issues with her daughter leaving the nest. The senior church members meet each Monday and are a hoot. This is a lovely and heartwarming story.

I loved this book, at times it had me laughing out loud, and I enjoyed the concept of an older couple. Now I'm familiar with most of the characters in this story, I have read all of the previous books! That being said this can be read along, there are several updates throughout!
Amos and Nadine, a sweet older couple, but not according to Nadine, she just wants friendship. Amos is a sixty plus old confirmed bachelor, and feels that God calling him to marry Nadine. Somehow Nadine didn't get the message, or is refusing to listen.
This is a really fun read, and I hated for the book to end, and hopefully we will be back soon in Wells Landing and with this group of characters!

I received this book through Net Galley and the Publisher Kensington, and was not required to give a positive review.

Romancing Nadine, by Amy Lillard, was a fun book to read. It's a different Amish romance story, in the fact, it's main characters are 60+. Nadine, having been twice widowed, is stubbornly determined there is no longer a place for that romantic nonsense in HER life.

Meanwhile, Amos Fisher, a near perfect Amishman, is hopelessly smitten with Nadine. This poor man goes through hoops trying to befriend & win Nadines, "bullheaded heart." Will Amos finally give up on Nadine & move back out west, or start courting another willing Amish widow?

Romancing Nadine, is a light hearted, enjoyable read. Although, there were many times I wanted to give Nadine a good shaking for rebuffing Amos!! I would recommend this book as a must read.

I was given an advanced copy of Financing Nadine, to review, but all thoughts & opinions, are strictly my own.

A perfect book for readers looking for romance between older people. Nadine is perfectly happy as a widow after the deaths of two husbands and quite stubborn about the fact. Amos, a confirmed bachelor has decided that God wants him to marry Nadine. Nadine is a little too stubborn for my taste and maybe Amos a little too perfect. This is a sweet continuation of the Wells Landing series with lots of characters from previous books. Recommended!

God are you sure? She’s the one you have for me? Maybe I mis-understood.

Amos Fisher asked that often after meeting Nadine Burkhart. Nadine, widowed twice, had a wall so hard around her heart it would take a chisel to crack it. She would not allow her heart to be broken again. She was not falling in love again, period. She was a very stubborn woman when it came to that.

Along comes Amos Fisher. Armed with the belief that God chose Nadine for him, he continued with his attempts to win her over. Having never married, he sought dating advise from the Englishers he had worked with until retirement. English advice on dating an Amish woman!!

Did Amos hear God correctly? Was he able to chip away at the wall around her heart?

Thank you Amy for taking us back to Well’s Landing…I love to visit my friends there…and for allowing me to read Amos and Nadine’s story!

Romancing Nadine is another fun adventure in Wells Landing, OK Amish community. Nadine is not your young Amish woman seeking love in the story but in her 60’s with a different perspective on love. She loves her family and Amish heritage but she’s suffered loss and doesn’t want to do it again. Amos is a confirmed bachelor but believed God placed Nadine in his path when he returned to Wells Landing. The banter between Amos and Nadine brought true moments of amusement with them being determined in what they wanted in life.

This is a well written and engaging read thundering with emotion, descriptive scenes to visualize all that was happening. The story is filled with adventure, new beginnings, happiness, hope and faith. It was wonderful to catch up with all the wonderful characters who are friends and like family members from the Wells Landing series by Lillard. I look forward to the final installment.

Thank you to NetGalley and Kensington Publishing Corporation for the ARC copy to read. I was not required to write a positive review but have shared my own opinion.

Romancing Nadine by Amy Lillard
A sweet Amish story featuring an older widowed woman and an unmarried Amish man. I do not believe I have ever read an Amish book with the main characters being in their 60’s. Amy Lillard always writes solid good books but this one unfortunately just dragged a little. The main problem I had with this book is there is no conflict, no real “issue”. It was all a tad to easy. Still, this is an easy, sweet read for a lazy afternoon.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher and NetGalley. The views given are my own.

This is a sweet heartwarming story that will make you laugh out loud in spots. I really enjoyed reading Nadine and Amos's story. There is not many books out about finding love again at 60 years old and that was what made this book so good. Each of them was set in their ways and neither one was looking for romance. This book was so good I read it in one setting. Thank you Kensington Books-Zebra via NetGalley for the ARC copy of this book. All opinions expressed are my own.

Who says you can't find love after 60? This book is filled with a comedy of errors that will make you smile. What my take away from this is Nadine was afraid to love again due to loss. Fear to reach out and accept what Amos was offering. If you know someone that is going through fear of potential loss, I recommend this book. It is enjoyable to read with characters of different age groups that you will come to love

Nadine Burkhart is an Amish widow and grandmother. She lives with her daughter-in-law Charlotte. Amos Fisher is a single Amish man, who has never been married. He sets his sights on Nadine. She doesn’t want anything to do with him. The story evolves around how Amos tries to win Nadine’s heart. I enjoyed this book about Amish middle age romance. Very sweet. Thank you to NetGalley and Kensington for the E-ARC. This my own opinion.

This is the latest installment in The Wells Landing Series. Nadine Burkhart is a sixty-something widow, mother, and grandmother and has moved to Wells Landing, Oklahoma for a fresh start with her daughter-in-law, Charlotte, and granddaughter, Jenna. She is a sensible Amish woman content to live out her faith the best she can and support Charlotte and Jenna. Amos Fischer is a good-hearted Amish man that has never married and believes he has found love with Nadine that will last a lifetime; however, he is having a difficult time convincing Nadine that he’s sincere and she needs to take a leap of faith. You will enjoy this inspirational story of hope, faith and learning to let go and live life to the fullest! It is always enjoyable to visit “old friends” in addition to meeting new ones. Each book is stand-alone, and they do not have to be read in any order. However, I suggest starting at the beginning and reading your way through!
