Stereotypical. Obnoxious. Completely and absolutely pointless. Not at all impressed or interested in thinking about this one ever again.

"You're only young once, but you can be VSCO forever." LOL while this book is not groundbreaking, it did make me laugh a good bit. It felt like a funny coffee table book I'd have out for my friends to flip through. Overall, enjoyable but a bit pointless.

This was a lot of fun! I love VSCO photos and a lot of this reminded me of being in summer camp which made me nostalgic for friendship bracelets and oversized t-shirts. I found the writing to be cute and the illustrations to be adorable. This was a very fast read!

I am so torn between thinking this was inevitably kind of cute, and also something that should've never been published. I really like the VSCO girl aesthetic and each page is something you would basically see in a tweet or on an IG meme page, or on any number of products at Target. In that sense it's kind of appealing but also not at all - I'm glad I requested a copy of this, because I don't know how widespread the book will be available and I don't think it's really worth seeking out.

I thought this little book did a great job of bringing together things VSCO girls love in a style of graphic design that I think will be really appealing. However, I feel 50/50 on this. On the one hand, I think it's cute and fun and that teens would like this as a gift and would like have a laugh with this, on the other hand--I think sometimes it comes off as a little patronizing. There is always a fine line, especially when it comes to something that revolves around teenage girls, who are often made fun of. I do think this lends more on the fun side than the mean, but I can see how it might come off that way.

As a proud VSCO girl myself, I couldn’t but laugh as I knew I was guilty of doing these things. This would be perfect for my friends as a reminder to #SaveTheTurtles. 😂

Thank you #Netgalley and Tiller press for the ARC in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
It's a very quick read. In the beginning I laughed out loud at the quirky VSCO girl "wisdoms". I liked the positive vibes and bright colors. It is such a short book...so I expected it to have more substance and not be so repetitive. I think middle school or upper elementary would like it.

I love how much they talk about saving the sea turtles, water bottles, scrunches, lip balm, and positivity. I think nay reusable water bottle is ok, not just hydro flasks.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for providing this e-arc.

Uuuuhmm...where should i start. The estimated publishing release is around August and by that time the vsco girl trend (or philosophy some might say) would have died down extremely, leaving the publishers with an ourdated picture book of a mess. The messages got a little too repetitive and some references weren't even part of the aesthetic. A 12 year old with an instagram niche account could've done a way better job with the graphics. If it was meant to be ironic then good job to the people who made this for finding another way to ridicule teenage girls! Only this time for their obsession with environmental awareness and a 90s accessory

Obviously this is not going to be for everyone but it was kitschy and cheesey and harmless. It didn't feel judgemental. The illustrations were cute. However I do feel like it was pretty repetitive especially for how short it is.

A cute book of illustrated quotes that "VSCO Girl" tweens will enjoy. It would make a good gift for a self-identifying VSCO Girl. There is a fun introduction paragraph, and a few journal pages at the back, but most pages are a big one sentence quote paired with a big digital illustration.

My one concern about adding this to a library collection is that it is hetero-normative. There is a quote about "finding your prince" which I didn't think was necessary.

That being said, there are a lot of good messages about environmentalism and positive thinking!

The Little Book of VSCO Girl Wisdom by Tiller Press was awesome. I liked this book because it was really fun. From the colorful cover to the quirky wisdom, everything about this was entertaining! It was full of delightful artwork and peppy phrases that are sure to inspire you and guide you through the VSCO trends. I especially liked “An Instax photo is worth a thousand words” and “An acai bowl a day keeps the bad vibes away” LOL! Use these fun expressions in your captions, turn them into art, or just say them to yourself as daily affirmations! Makes a perfect gift for the instagrammer who already has everything. Thank you to NetGalley for giving me a free digital Advanced Reading Copy (ARC e-book) of this title. I really enjoyed it!

Thank you Tiller Press and NetGalley for this book in exchange for an honest review. I thought this book was really cute! This book was filled with positive and encouraging VSCO girl inspired sayings and art. I thought the sayings were pretty cheesy but the ADORABLE art made up for it. I saw this book said it was targeted towards teens and YA. However, I think this book suits middle school girls better than high schoolers. I also wish that this book was published in 2019 when the VSCO trend was popular. In the end, this book is a cute and fun read that I think girls will enjoy. This review is also posted on my Goodreads. #TheLittleBookofVSCOGirlWisdom #NetGalley

I had my 13 year old daughter read this book since she definitely qualifies as a VSCO girl. She smiled a few times and read me a page or two aloud. Grateful I did not have to purchase this title personally.

"The Little Book of VSCO Girl Wisdom" is what it is titled to be. It's cute, fun little book of quotes that you can flip through whenever you want some inspiration. There's not much substance to this book but I also didn't go into it expecting there to be much. The colours and graphic designs were super cute and every page is very Instagramable. I do wish that some of the quotes weren't repeated so much throughout the book, avoiding plastic straws was mentioned about five different times. I think there could have been other inspirational quotes to take those places and still fit in with the VSCO theme of the book.
Overall, this was a cute book and it would make a nice gift for anyone in middle or high school.

I didn't understand the audience for this book. I wasn't sure if it was a parody of teen girls, which is pretty poor, because teen girls are always patronized and mocked, for simply being young girls, or meant for young girls. I don't think it fit either way. I wouldn't want to receive this as a "funny" gift. I was hoping this book would contain what we can glean from "Vsco girls"- joy in simple pleasures, taking care of ourselves and the earth etc, instead I found a cruel mockery of young girls.

This was funny little book about the newest girl trend VSCO girl. I did like the idea of that they apparently care about the environment and animals. In this short book things were repeated ALOT.

Thank you Netgalley and Tiller press for the gifted copy, all thoughts are completely my own

I have to admit, I did chuckle in the beginning of this little book. I didn't realize it was just a couple words per page with no real substance.

It was a quick fun, then became repetitive read. I enjoyed the 90s vibes. This book would definitely be for a younger age range. Possibly grade 4-5

This book appeals to younger audiences, which is why I know my students would love it. A lot of the Gen-Z'ers are obsessed with (and are growing up in the era of) YouTube. VSCO girls are known for their hydroflasks, their bomb filters, and saving the turtles. Need inspiration? This book is definitely a great pick-me-up, especially for teenagers/young adults. I enjoyed it, however, as a full-grown adult.

This book is a nice cutesy read. I think if I saw it on my own, I’d likely at least pick it up and flip through it, but also wouldn’t buy it unless as a gift for a younger (4th/5th grader) girl or if it had specifically been requested. I would suggest maybe a few less 2 paged sayings and also maybe doing some pages in colored or a bit more saturated with some of the color combos chosen. It’s cute, but not over the top—so I guess it’s pretty VSCO.
