This was a really good read. It was gripping right from the off and help me in suspense throughout. I couldn't read this fast enough. I was desperately hungry to learn how the story would end. I loved the setting of the novel and I though the characters very very well written. Natalie was highly credible and I championed her through out. It was eerie and quite scary in parts. I felt often that Natalie might have made the wrong decision. I was engrossed right up until the very last page.

She lied, She died was a fast-paced & twisted thriller. This one got done pretty quick. It had a good number of twists - some I saw coming a long way off but for the most part it was unforeseeable & very exciting to read. I loved the setting of this book. It made the plot all the more atmospheric! The characters were good, balanced & felt real. No miss goody two shoes or naive characters that leave me frustrated. The ending was good but felt abrupt & for some reason didn't give me a sense of closure. I've like Carissa Ann Lynchs's Without a Trace a lot & decided to pick this one up. I'm so glad I did. This was a very compelling read for me & I enjoyed reading this book.

Thank you, NetGalley, Harper Collins UK, One more chapter & Carissa Ann Lynch for an arc!

This book got me hooked straight away. There are twists and turns along the way and I could not work it out. I did feel that the ending seemed very rushed like they had ran out of their allotted words.

Had me quickly turning pages

This story had a compelling plot line that kept me reading late into the night. However, I did not find the main character relatable/likable which made it difficult for me to feel fully immersed the story.

Natalie was 9 years old when Jenny was found murdered on her property. 14 year old Chrissy admitted to the murder, has served her time and is moving back home.

This is a quick and easy read it feels a little creepy with the small town setting. Also with the farm location. This reads well and I enjoyed myself. Wasn’t any read groundbreaking twists and turns and it seemed to come together very conveniently.

I love a good suspenseful thriller set in a small town, it gives off all the creepy feels and cannot trust anyone vibes! A young girl is found murdered in a field, 14 year old Chrissy confesses to the murder and is sentenced to prison. About 30 years later, Chrissy is set free. The small town is an uproar, they do not want her released except a Natalie. Natalie was 9 years old when she heard noise in her father’s field the night Jenny was murdered. Natalie also wondered what she heard and now as a writer she has an opportunity to find out with Chrissy’s help. Together they write a book. This is a suspenseful page turner! Thank you to Harper Collins, NetGalley, and the author for a gifted copy. This is my honest review.

This was a pretty standard thriller for me. Nothing too twisty or groundbreaking, but still a fun ride. I’d recommend it to thriller newbies.

A teenage girl died and another teen confessed. Not everything is what it seems. This is a thriller that takes place 30 years later where we get to hear the twisted tale of lies and deceit.

“When bad girls lie, good girls die.”
Good girl Jenny was apparently murdered by bad girl Chrissy – she confessed after all. She was only 14. Natalie Bryers was 9 when the body was found on her father’s farm. It affected her whole life as she has questions about that night that have never been fully resolved.

Years later, Chrissy Cornwall is released from prison. Local residents do not want her to come back, but Chrissy claims she is innocent and wants Natalie to write her story. Natalie herself is determined to find answers. The small-town background and oppressive atmosphere added to the dram in the book.
So follows a real rollercoaster of a thriller with plenty of twists and turns. Its well written and well-paced. It was one of those books you just need to keep reading as each corner is turned until the dramatic ending and the tragic truth are revealed.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an advance review copy.

Following the aftermath and the investigation following the death of Jenny Juliott, a teenage girl, this story is gripping from the first page.
When 14 year old Chrissy Cornwall confesses to the murder, they think that is the case well and truly closed, but things often aren't what they first seem.

Many years have passed, when Natalie moves back to Breyas farm after her brother has passed away, however she is still haunted by the image of the deal girl in the field.
Natalie is still struggling to write her novel, so when she hears of Chrissy's release from prison, she seizes an opportunity and approaches her with the intention of getting Chrissy to tell her side of the story.
.
This book is full to the brim with twists and turns that have you on the edge of your seat. as the story begins to unfold, the pace picks up perfectly and has the reader needing to read more and find the answers we so desperately need!.

This was a brilliantly written, intriguing story that had me hooked.

She Lied She Died by Carissa Lynch
Rating 3.8/5
A gripping thriller about the death of a teenage girl, Jenny Juliott. Jenny was found murdered in a field on the Breyas Farm. Her killer, 14 year old Chrissy Cornwall confessed.
Natalie Breyas, a once aspiring writer moves back to the family farm after the death of her brother. She has never forgotten how witnessing the dead body of Jenny.
Years pass and Natalie still has never written her novel so when Chrissy is released from prison, now a woman in her forties, Natalie contacts her to see if they could discuss telling her side of the story.
A page turner, creepy, spooky and atmospheric I was reading late into the night to find why Jenny died. The ending came abruptly, and yes it did tie up all the loose ends but at 74% into the book the story ended. The last 26% advertised previous novels and an excerpt of a new one. I just didn’t expect it so felt really disappointed. Apart from that one of the leads didn’t pan out for me.
Still I have to say all in all, I found it to be a well written thriller with a totally unexpected ending. I I will be reading more of Ms Lynch’s novels.
Thanks to Carissa Ann Lynch, HarperCollins and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read She Lied She Died. In return I have written an honest and unbiased review.

A ton of twists and lies that wrap up a great thriller. Three young girls. One found murdered on another property and another admits to the murder. Thirty years later Chrissy is released and Natalie wants to know why this happened. A really gripping story with a wow ending.

Kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time.

Rating: 4/5

She Lied She Died is the first book that I have read by Carissa Ann Lynch - but it will definitely not be the last. Lynn's suspenseful story telling, as well as her in-depth first-person exploration of a small-town tragedy, were intriguing and had me on the edge of my seat. I could empathize with Natalie, having grown up in a small town myself, and loved how each and every one of her reactions felt genuine. From the fear of Chrissy, to the several different facets of mourning, to the extreme cliqueyness and constant gossip train that revolved around the events of the book, Lynn's characters felt real. Real, and tortured, and added depth to the plot itself.

She Lied She Died was a quick read - one of those you sit for a few hours and you can't pull yourself away kind of books. Despite being short, it felt complete. The ending tied up every loose end Lynch laid out neatly; the spooky characters got what was coming to them; and the 'What Happens Next' felt right.

Thank you, NetGalley and Lynch for an e-Arc of this book. All opinions in this review are my own.

This is a thriller suspense story that I enjoyed from beginning to end. This is my first book by this author and I can't wait to read more from her. This is a well written story that has characters that bring the story to life. The author's attention to details made the story feel realistic. The twists and turns kept me turning pages and left me sitting on the edge of my seat just waiting to see what was going to happen next. The characters made the story easy, engaging and entertaining. They are connectable and I enjoyed all of them. This is a story about what happens when a young girl is found murdered in a field. The murdered was sent away but now they are getting out. What really happened to the young girl? Who is the real murderer? I really enjoyed this book. I highly recommend this book.

This was a pretty quick read. There were a few unexpected twists. The ending seemed to wrap up a bit too neatly and a bit rushed. That said, it was just a "meh" read for me. The characters were all right, but I didn't connect with them as much as I'd hoped. Nothing really wrong with the book, but nothing I'll remember long after reading it, either.

I flew through this mystery and my mind went everywhere but nothing prepared me for the ending! One of the best crime thrillers I’ve read in awhile. Highly recommend.
