This is a much-needed topic, both in the classroom and at home. The examples in the story are relatable for kids -- I've seen all of these situations happen! The rhyming part is catchy and will help students learn and remember concrete action steps for "Getting an Adult's Attention." I also like that the author included strategies students can use to problem-solve on their own before seeking help from a teacher. These strategies are key in equipping students to solve future problems. Thank you for this story!

But I Need Your Help Now! is a great book for teaching children how to interrupt in an appropriate way. I like how it gives examples that are applicable to home and school. It also addresses the difference between regular interrupting and interrupting during an emergency. A well thought out children's book.

This is a great book to use to discuss blurting out, when to interrupt and how to appropriately get a person’s attention. I will be using this with my Kindergarteners soon!
