The third installment of the Bromance Book Club series did not disappoint! With Crazy Stupid Bromance, Adams continues in her tradition of amazing rom coms that I devour in one sitting. I was particularly excited for this book, as the friends-to-lovers trope is one of my favorites.
The story follows best friends Noah and Alexis, who we were very briefly introduced to in the second book of the series; Noah, the computer genius/ hacktivist friend of Mack’s, and Alexis, the cat café owner and best friend of Liv. Here, we learn more about their respective backgrounds, as well as their strong friendship that developed in the months following the events of the previous book. The core storyline stems from the shocking revelation that only-child, raised by a single-mom Alexis has a sister and the outcomes that go along with this big reveal. As the book blurb reads, “Alexis turns to the only man she trusts – her best friend, Noah Logan”.
What I loved about this book: friends-to-lovers!! I loved all of the little glimpses into Noah and Alexis’s easy friendship, and especially how they were both mutually pining for each other rather than a one-sided poor timing iteration that is common of the trope. You could see why they were friends, and also understand why they both would want to take their relationship to the next level. And, once they do get together (I don’t think this is really a spoiler lol), the foundation of their friendship builds a relationship with genuine communication. Together, they worked through a lot of familial issues and pain from their past, which I think is also something that Adams does really well in her books. She manages to walk the delicate line between intensity and lighthearted-ness that I think is essential to a good romance book – here, Adams writes very realistically and heartbreakingly about grief and loss.
So why 4 stars? While I loved seeing their friendship, I almost thought there could have been a little more of a build-up between the couple, so that the release of tension would have been more cathartic. My second gripe is completely from personal preference, as Noah was not my favorite hero from the series as a whole. A fundamental part of his story dealt with his anger, which, while completely valid within the context of his past, I felt at times turned me off from him.
Overall, this book was a satisfying and swoon-worthy addition to the bromance series. As always, any scenes with the book club men had me simultaneously laughing and nodding vigorously along to their feminist commentary; I could keep reading about the book club and their fight against toxic masculinity forever (Which, btw, did I sense that a story about the Russian is next?!)
Thank you to NetGalley and Berkley for access to this ARC!

Bromance Book Club series fans first met Alexis Carlilse is Adams’s previous novel, Undercover Bromance. The owner of Toebeans Cafe reluctantly stepped into the spotlight eighteen months ago to reveal that she was a victim of sexual assault by a famous chef. At that time, she met Noah, the convicted teenage hacktivist who steps up to comfort her and they become fast best friends who are both fighting feelings for each other. Alexis’s cafe is a safe haven for survivors who gather there often for support, much to the dismay of Karen across the street. One woman who Alexis believes is a survivor confides in Alexis that she’s actually her sister, and that their father needs a kidney. Noah immediately encourages Alexis to guard her feelings and disregard this intrusion, but that’s not who she is.
Noah and Alexis, each working through their own traumas, grow together and support each other through this major life decision, and grow closer and closer. This romance, centered more in character development and growth, will not disappoint fans of the Bromance series. With appearances from previous characters, and even a setup for the next book in the series, readers will be drawn in from the beginning to end. For fans of Christina Lauren and The Whisper Network.

I am a recent fan of the Bromance Book Club series. I love how smart these books are in representing issues, romance, and character interactions. The books have a wonderful wit about them as well! I will say that book three, Crazy Stupid Romance, while good, was not necessarily my favorite in the series. I LOVED the characters; however, I found I had a difficult time engaging with Noah and Alexis' story. As always, this may be due to my mood and my personality rather than the way the book is written or the strength of the characters. The story line did feel a bit clunky in places and sometimes obvious instead of the reader developing an over all sense of the characters and the motivations on their own. This book did leave me with a strong desire and hope for Adams to write the Russian's story! Who is this mystery wife? I think that Adams does a great job of dropping hints along the way that give insight to potential future story lines. This is definitely a book that I will purchase for our library and recommend to others.
A big thanks to NetGalley and the publisher, Berkley, for the opportunity to read an advanced copy of the next installment of the Bromance Book.

these books are cute, and they have their construct and stick to it. I'm just too bored to continue on.

As soon as I saw I got approved, I squealed. I immediately went to my kindle and started this book. I have been waiting for Noah’s book for what seems like forever and I was not let down. Each book in this series has a special place in my heart. I absolutely loves how she takes each trope and weaves it into the bookclub pick.
Alexis is a survivor, after the debacle with Royce she just needs time to heal and as she heals, she helps other survivors. She met Noah 18 months ago when they took down Royce and she and Noah have been best friends ever since. The best of friends, so much so that she doesn’t want to jeopardize their friendship by admitting her feelings might run a little deeper.
Noah knows that Alexis was hurt in the past, he knows she has so much to get through to see her future on the other side. He has been by her side as her best friend for 18 months but sees her as his everything.
There were obstacles that came up throughout this book, but they were dealt in such a way that was believable. This is what your best friend would do to be there for you through the hard times, but as you see Noah, you see a man who would do anything for not only his best friend, but the woman he loves. He was so respectful of her and her situation that it made my heart leap.
I did get teary eyed a few times too.m, but what I love about this series is that each man is so caring and thoughtful. It is a refreshing series and I enjoy each book just as much as the last. I love it so much. Thank you to Netgalley, Berkley and Lyssa Kay Adams for an early copy of this book.

This is the third book in the Bromance Bookclub series. If you have read the others you will also love this. This book follows best friends Alexis and Noah. They are best friends and nothing more, yet both of them have feelings for each other, but that would be just weird.. because they are friends right. Alexis is surprised when her half sister shows up at her door saying their dad needs help. Alexis never knew her dad. Her dad needs a new lung and Alexis may be a match. Noah is there for Alexis the whole time. This is a wonderful story of friends to lovers with funny and serious moments. Of course we see a lot of the characters from the other books we already know and love.

This was another fun and addictive read that had me laughing out loud and smiling almost all the way through. I love the characters and the insight into why they do what they do. I find that so refreshing seeing the men vulnerable and so in tune with their feelings and emotions.. This was another great edition to the series! Can’t wait for the next one!

The perfect follow-up to the first two books! I was drawn in by the premise of a romance set in a cat cafe and stayed for the lovely romance and compelling characters. Will be recommending this one along with the rest of the Bromance books.

I'm just not feeling these anymore. The combination of machismo in the extreme (what's a massage!?!?!what if I get a boonnnneerrr!?) and being weirdly in tune to women's needs the point of absurdity as a result of reading bad romances novels I just can't buy in to this series anymore.

I think this was my favorite in this series so far. And yet, I think I'm not going to continue the series. I don't have the patience for them.
I was so excited about the friends-to-lovers story. It's one of my favorite tropes in romance novels. And honestly, the romance part was pretty good. I liked the two main characters, Alexis and Noah, and liked their friendship. I was rooting for them all the way.
If only the story would have just focused on their romance instead of going into a bunch of other convoluted story tropes as well.
As far as couples in this series go, Alexis and Noah were my favorite. They were two genuinely nice, interesting people. But dear God, Alexis spent a good portion of this book being naive to the point of losing brain cells!
A random woman tells Alexis that they're related and that her absentee dad, who Alexis has never met, but who's known about her for years, now needs a kidney, and Alexis could be the one to save his life. And Alexis doesn't even stop to question it! She asks for no proof of what they're saying. She doesn't investigate her supposed father (Noah has to do it because she can't be bothered), she doesn't even ask for DNA evidence that she is, in fact, related to these people. She takes one day to process, and is ready to freely give an internal organ!
Then that same family has the nerve to treat Alexis like trash? The woman who is kindly giving her kidney to a man that doesn't deserve it, and whom she doesn't even know?
The author was clearly trying to send the message that organ donations are good things, and I get it. She's right. Donations save lives. I just couldn't' deal with it. The entire medical drama portion of this book annoyed me because it felt like borderline cohesion. Imagine only making contact with your long lost family member when you happen to need an organ donation from them. I was hoping the entire time that Alexis would tell that entire family to fuck off and leave her, and her kidneys, alone.
Now let's talk about the book club. In general, I like the book club guys. They're a funny bunch, for the most part. The scene at the spa had me laughing out loud. But, I also have so many problems with the guys. First, they're extremely preachy. They didn't even seem like real human beings at times. They were versions of men than women want to read about. They say all the things women would want men to say and do all the things women would like men to do. Which, to be fair, books don't have to be realistic, and who doesn't like an idealized version of the world?
The boys were feminists to the core and they won't let you forget it. And that brings me to one other problem I had. Like in the previous two books, everything is the man's fault. Everyone cheered Alexis for making her move on Noah, but when Noah stopped to make sure that it was consensual and that Alexis wasn't just doing this because she'd been having a stressful day and he didn't want to feel used by her, all the guys call Noah an idiot for making her feel rejected! Then, they scold him for not confessing his feelings right away (Alexis didn't verbally confess either, mind you), and for not having the right words, and not knowing how to deal with the complex emotions he's feeling! WTF!
Lastly, can The Russian please be a real character? I've talked about this when I reviewed the previous novels. The man is a caricature created for comedic relief, and it's not that funny. They don't even refer to him by his name, he's just The Russian! Imagine if he were Indian or Nigerian and they only referred to him by his country of origin, gave him an empty yet comically exaggerated personality, made him the butt of all the jokes, and made it seem like he was less intelligent than everyone else. That'd be controversial, no? But I guess it's funny because he's white?
In the end, I have to admit, I actually liked the romance portion of the book. Everything else ranged from meh to annoying. I don't think this series is for me. If there are more books, which I don't doubt there will be, I won't be reading them.

The boys are back!
So even though I didn’t enjoy this book as much as the first book in the series, I still still enjoyed this fun addition to the series! All the Bromance books are a tad over the top, but honestly, that’s why I read them!
I was a little surprised that this book featured Noah and Alexis because I don’t remember that being teased in the second book, but I thought they were adorable together! I haven’t read a lot of friends to lovers books lately, so it was fun jumping into this one.
I liked that the author brought back book excerpts from the Bromance Book Club pick, but because Noah never finishes reading the book in the story, it ended up feeling unfinished and a tad forgettable. In fact when Noah brings up the story again near the end of the book, I had forgotten all about it! I do wish there had been more commitment to the excerpts.

This was so close to being a 4.5 or 5 star book, because the actual romance bit of this book was one of my favorite friends-to-lovers stories I've ever read. I really loved the way most of that relationship unfolded and I LOVED how Noah & Alexis developed their feelings & intimacy together. The struggle I have with this book is that it also has an external family conflict that I think was just too angsty for my tastes and even beyond the angst factor, I just don't think the plot had enough room for both the romantic and family conflicts to coexist. I think if Candi had just sought out Alexis for her own sake, alongside Alexis' ongoing healing from her own past, that would have been plenty of conflict & the book wouldn't feel quite so whiplashed or overstuffed in places. Still, like I said, I truly did love the romance piece of this, and also.. there are cats.

I’ll admit—this was the cover that really, really got me. I’d honestly thought I’d be reading about a cat cafe and some unrequited but mutual pining love, and perhaps some exploration of family side-drama that would stay somewhat peripheral to Noah Logan’s and Alexis Carlisle’s growing relationship. And I was surprised—not entirely pleasantly—when it wasn’t quite all of that with just 1 cat that featured prominently.
Having pretty much jumped straight into this book without having ever read the earlier books in the series, it was a tad bit hard to catch up with all of the secondary characters, but this was an easy read nonetheless. There were parts that left me breathless (especially the way in which Noah and Alexis got their act together), and parts that were so comedically stylised (the bromance book club and their antics that this can’t possibly happen in real life) that I was caught out bewildered and perplexed. But there was also a huge part that I wasn’t thrilled with at all: the hurried and rushed to a family that Alexis barely knew for a life-changing favour and her quick capitulation despite years of bitterness and resentment towards a father who’d played too fast and too loose years ago.
The bigger theme of forgiveness and being able to see past old hurts rings loud here, but I still couldn’t understand Alexis’s naïveté when it came to a family that she didn’t know—that much had she put into the elusive chase to get that picture-perfect idea of a family—,her refusal to be a little ‘harder’ towards people who had only reached out because they’d needed her. In fact, I thought of her inability to see what Noah had been saying to her as reckless foolishness in fact, despite the importance of what Lyssa Kay Adams presumably wanted to bring across: the importance of organ donation.
So while I was actually happy with a friends-to-lovers romance written into it, this was somewhat overshadowed by the domestic squabbles and the need to ‘learn a lesson first with the found family’ before a HEA can happen. That everything has to be righted apart from a solid relationship isn’t the prerequisite for a HFN/HEA for me and that Adams tried to cram it in all rather unbelievably did dim my enthusiasm somewhat for a book that could have been otherwise more engaging.

4.5 stars!
When I picked up Bromance Book Club last year, I immediately found myself falling in love with the members of the club and their interactions were by far the highlight of the book for me. Although the romance left a little bit to be desired for me, I still loved the concept of the series and the characters, and was so excited to read about Liv and Mack in book 2, Undercover Bromance, as I was already intrigued by their small interactions in book 1. I ended up falling even more in love with the members of the book club in book 2, but, as opposed to book 1, my favorite part was by far the romance, and it really solidified for me that this series is one of my favorites in romance for sure. So you can imagine my excitement over the opportunity to read and review book 3, Crazy Stupid Bromance, early. Not only was I excited due to the fact that I had already met and loved Alexis in Undercover Bromance, but this book being friends to lovers just increased my excited by 100000x, as it is one of my top 2 favorite tropes to read in romance. I am so happy to say that this book met my expectations and that I finished it with a new favorite couple to add to my never ending list!
I loved Noah and Alexis' relationship from the very beginning. Not only did they have great chemistry, but I just loved their interactions and how well they clicked. I loved how the author handled the build up between them, from best friends to something more. I felt like everything happened very organically and felt very realistic and not rushed. I liked that Adams didn't just rush Alexis and Noah into a romance in the very first 20% of the book and instead let us see their relationship when they were just friends first before anything else happened between them. The fact that we were allowed to see their moments before their romantic relationship began really was what made me connect to these two and really root for them, as it is one of my favorite parts of reading a friends to lovers story.
I also loved Alexis even more than I did when she showed up as a side character in Undercover Bromance. Actually, I think she might be my favorite female character in the series so far! She had such a loyal and compassionate heart, and it really inspired me how much she cared about others. It inspired me to see her speak out at the end too, and stand up for herself. I also loved the plot surrounding her family, and the beautiful lesson of forgiveness that surrounds this book's story arc and characters.
I also loved Noah. Sometimes he tried to put up a front, but, as his mom put it, he was just a softy with a huge heart, and I am a sucker for those types of heroes!
Lastly, but certainly not least, the book club really shined in this book. Mack's groomzilla moments, the russian (who i am so intrigued about after this book!), and the guys' banter and shenanigans continue to be one of the best parts of these books! For the first 20%-ish I feared there wouldn't be as many moments between the guys as I was hoping, but after a while they really start to shine, and I loved every second of it!
Overall, I loved this one so much. Personally, not as good as Undercover Bromance, which is my favorite in the series, but its definitely close! Alexis and Noah stole my heart from the get-go and I loved getting to know them and follow their journey into happily every after!

I love this squishy, silly, feminist series. It is over the top and I eat it all the way up. The scene in the spa locker room had me laughing out loud in the literal sense. The friends to lovers trope works for me every time. Just a fun read. If I don't get the russian's story next I'll die.

In my review of Undercover Bromance, I practically begged for Noah to have his own book. Guess what?!? He does! I loved his and Alexa’s story. It was great. The Bromance Book Club is one of my favorite series. I really hope that there are more. These books are so much fun!
Thank you to Berkeley and Netgalley for my e-galley.

By far my favorite book of the series thus far. Noah and Alexis are the perfect friends turned lovers couple. I adore the author's view to take typical romance tropes and turn them on their head for the men of the Bromance Book Club. Bravo!

Crazy Stupid Bromance is by far my favorite of the Bromance Book Club series so far. Alexis runs the ToeBeans Cafe, a cat cafe that has also become a refuge for women that have survived sexual assault. Noah is an ex-hacktivist, and one of the only men in the gang that hasn't yet been initiated into the book club. These two have become inseparable friends, but would turning their relationship into something more destroy everything they have? And who is Candi, a woman who arrives claiming to be Alexis' half-sister? ToeBeans Cafe's resident maine coon, Beefcake, was by far one of my favorite characters. I was curled up like a cat all day with this latest installment. Long live the Bromance Book Club!

Another fun addition to this series. As always, great characters and insight into why they do what they do. Really hoping for the Russian’s story next.

Of the first three books, this was the most emotional story. Alexis finds out that not only does she have a sister, but the father she never knew is dying of kidney failure-- and she might be the only one who can save him.
Noah has spent his life trying to put together the emotional pieces of his soldier father who died when he was a teen
I will say that I have become /a little/ annoyed at how much of a caricature the Russian has become over the last two novels. The flatulent, smelly, dim-witted hockey player feels very 2-dimensional given how fleshed out all the other characters are. Even Marsh, the emotionally stunted psuedo father figure of Noah's seems more fleshed out. We don't even know his name. His entire character just feels very slap stick and out of place.
I hope that the Russian is fleshed out in a future book, or at least given a name. The next book is either going to be about the Russian, or Colton.
Overall, I really enjoyed this story and it's a welcome addition to the series. Looking forward to the next!
