Wonderful series by Lyssa Kay Adams. This was a new one for me as I've never read anything by her before. I love rom-com books and this one definitely hit the spot. Super cute and funny. The storyline was interesting and kept me engaged. And who doesn't love a happy ending.

I love Lyssa's books so much! I can count on them for heartwarming, steamy, happy endings every time. Her latest was no different, although it doesn't come close to her first BBC installment.

I sped through this one and found the plot to be incredibly fast paced. I enjoyed the character development of Noah and Alexis the most, I just think some things were "off" with the story arc. It is hard to explain--it just didn't flow as smoothly as Lyssa's other books did.

I will continue to read any additional books she publishes as I am invested in these characters and overall enjoy my time in their world!

If you are looking for a "feel-good" story that dreamily concludes, this will definitely do the trick!

Noah and Alexis become fast friends after Noah helps nail the man who sexually harassed Alexis and a whole string of women. Now as best friends they confide and rely on each other, and secretly crush on each other. Both are afraid to ruin the special bond they have. Noah worries that Alexis has put him firmly in the friend zone and Alexis has no clue that he feels anything romantic for her.

However, a moment of emotional vulnerability lowers their defenses to the point where the desire they continuously feel for each other leaks out, exposed for the other to see. From that point on their relationship shifts, becomes passionate and heated, and I was oh-so-happy for these two! As this all unfolds, Alexis deals with a family situation that throws her for a loop. She has an important decision thrust at her and it shakes both her and Noah up.

Crazy Stupid Bromance was a truly multi-layered story with Noah and Alexis’ romance at the center. Unrequited love is a favorite troupe, and the pent-up longing from afar they each felt led to a passionate payoff!

I have to say that I liked the animals in the last book a little better, Randy the homicidal (and “randy”) rooster cracked me the heck up, whereas I found Beefcake, the murderous cat, less entertaining. Still, any animal hijinks is a win for me.

Crazy Stupid Bromance is my favorite of the three books, just by a hair, mainly because Alexis was very likeable and relatable while Liz and Thea tested my patience a few times in the last two books. All were fun, though. This series is fun and flirty, with lots of laugh-out-loud humor, but also deals with more weighty issues with just the right balance for a satisfying, feel-good read!

Given that I was distracted while giving it a listen during these days, this book was pretty okay. I’d definitely recommend it over the second book, but I think the first may still be the better one? (though that one still has its flaws, oof)

I have to admit that I wasn’t 100% invested in this relationship and it brings me back to the reason why I’m not such a big fan of the friends-to-lovers trope. Something was missing and then, of course, the conflict was resolved within seconds and I’d wished there was just more of a character arc.

This one also has its hilarious moments that I will look back at and laugh and while the Russian’s book is next, I’m trying not to hype myself up too much because that one just *has* to be good and I don’t want to be disappointed!!

So overall, MEH. Not bad, not the best. I wouldn’t discourage you from reading it, just brace yourself for a lot of back and forth and possibly a little less romance than the others...?

*CW: grief, loss of a parent (illness, military), mention of sexual assault

I'm really enjoying this series and I find with each book she writes Lyssa Kay Adams gets better! I really enjoyed Alexis and Noah's story as well as seeing more of the characters in this book as well. I liked that this book had a few more subplots as well which in my personal opinions adds depth to the story and flushes out the characters more. I also cannot wait to read Vlad's story!!
Thank you so much to netgalley and the publishers for providing me with an arc for an honest review!

Can you guys keep a secret? I haven't read the first two Bromance Book Club books. I've had them on my Kindle for a while but my TBR keep getting longer and longer...

Anyway, I won an ARC of CRAZY STUPID BROMANCE, the third book in the series by Alyssa Kay Adams, so I dove in and hoped for the best.

I'm a sucker for a good rom com and this one is GREAT! It's a friends-to-lovers story about cat cafe owner Alexis who becomes famous after she exposes a celebrity chef for sexual harassment and an unknown sister comes out of the woodwork with news that rocks her world. Alexis turns to Noah, her best friend and member of the Bromance Book Club who, unbeknownst to Alexis, is in love with her. His boys agree to help him go from bestie to boyfriend and lots of hilarity and some steamy stuff ensues.

I'm sure there are things in the book I would have enjoyed more had I read the whole series but this story totally works as a stand alone. I loved the relationship between Alexis and Noah, totally fell for her cat Beefcake (I mean that name alone....) and was all in on the group of guys who band together to help their friend win the girl. I'm determined to finish the other two books before the end of the year since book #4 is coming in 2021!

Thank you to NetGalley, Berkley Publishing and the author for an advanced e-copy of this novel to review.

The Bromance Book Club series is one of my favorites that I've read this year and Crazy Stupid Bromance solidified that! I absolutely adored this book. Alexis and Noah were perfect together and I loved watching them get there. I am currently counting down the days till the Russian's story!

I loved this book!

Thank you so much Berkley Pub and NetGalley for my advanced copy.

Lyssa Kay Adams is a new fave author of mine and her books are consistently good. I cannot wait for her fourth book coming out in 2021.

What I enjoyed about Crazy Stupid Bromance-

The Setting- all of the Bromance books take place in Nashville.

The Characters - All of the characters in this book were enjoyable and unique.

The Romance- Noah *insert heart eye emoji and swoon* I love Noah. So. Much. CSB is a friends to lovers romance and so well written. I loved the progression. The build up and the angst and then the steam. Yes. Yes. Yes. This romance had everything I wanted.

The Family Drama- Loved it. I was so invested. I don't want to give anything away. So that's all I'm saying.

Overall- highly recommend. This is one of my favorite romance's of the year.

Well, I am a sucker for this series. This book was no exception. I love that these guys are so in touch with their emotions and that they can support each other without being nasty macho jerks. It follows the same premise of if you just have the adult conversation, they could move on and figure it out and be happy. Instead we wait for the right moment and the grand gesture. It’s interesting to see this written about the #Metoo movement and the after effects of going public with your story. Alexis is an asset to her community and does not want to be in the spotlight, but she is able to help so many other women along the way.

I was given an advanced reader's copy via NetGalley and Berkley, thank you to them. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I love this series so much, but if I’m being honest this one was my least favorite. Alexis and Noah were practically new characters, so I didn’t care about them as I wanted to but I absolutely enjoyed it.

I’m glad the Author gave us a lot of bromance moments because that’s what I enjoyed the most, and it was as hilarious and fun to read.
The bond this guys have is amazing.

I also loved Alexis and Noah friendship . Noah was so supportive and care so much for Alexis. He kind of stole my heart.

Alexis Carlisle has PTSD from being sexually harassed by a former boss, and instead of acting on her attraction to her friend Noah she has put him firmly in the friend zone. When a young woman approaches her in her coffee shop and claims she’s her half sister her life spins off it’s base and she turns to Noah to help her through, especially when she find out her father needs her kidney to live.

The premise for this series is that a group of men use romance novels to help them learn about themselves and the women they love. A fun premise that so far hadn’t lived up to its expectations, however Crazy Stupid Bromance comes the closest. Noah and Alexis are quite the pair. He is an ex hactivist who as a teen had angrily hacked into a government property after his father dies in Afghanistan with faulty equipment. Alexis came to fame because she charged a celebrity chef with sexual harassment and hasn’t trusted a man since. These two shouldn’t have been a likely couple but they somehow worked and I think it was because they had the basis of a solid friendship before moving on to anything heavier. Their story wasn’t rushed like a lot of romances are and the pace was pretty perfect.

Alexis was the catalyst to Liv and Mack’s romance in Undercover Bromance so I felt like I knew her a little bit, but Noah’s character hadn’t really been explored yet. He was the computer nerd of the group and that’s about it. I loved that he had this kind of rebel background and an anger that he still hadn’t overcome. It gave he and Alexis a little conflict that seemed more natural that sneaking around and spying on a Chef as the previous novel had done. So the story felt real and not fabricated.

Alexis’s newly found father (and his family) also created some conflict, so this story wasn’t all puppies and butterflies. In fact, I shed a couple of tears at her heart-wrenching decisions about her family and really enjoyed how this author wrapped up that story. All in all this has been my favorite of the three Bromance Book Club novels. I think the Russian may be up next and I’m not sure I’m ready to read his hairy, gross story, so this series may be put on pause on my TBR. We’ll see what that synopsis looks like. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I received a copy of this book through NetGalley for my honest review and it is honest!

Not a comedy like the first two books

This book is a melodrama rather than comedic like the first two books in this series. There is a primary emphasis throughout the book on the heroine's donating a kidney to the biological father she had never previously known, until she was approached out of the blue by her half-sister as a potential harvesting site for a genetically compatible organ.

In the author's note at the closing of the book, she informs her readers that apparently this is a book of the heart for her, because her husband donated a kidney to his beloved sister shortly after she married her husband. She also urges everyone in her audience to consider becoming a living donor of an organ themselves in order to save a life. Unfortunately, the circumstances portrayed in this melodrama are absolutely nothing like those that the author witnessed in her own life.

Perhaps this story may inspire some of her readers to go become a living organ donor, but I did not feel that sort of inspiration myself. I was mainly disappointed due to finding myself reading a soap opera when I was expecting this book to be a romantic comedy strongly centered around the Bromance Book Club.

I love this series!
It’s a wonderful premise! So nice to see men helping men and their ladies reaping the results.
I laughed out loud several times.
I can’t wait for the next book in the series!
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for providing an arc in exchange for my honest review.

This was a fun read! I really like this series. While I think this book was a little on the wild side, I appreciated the balance of seriousness and lightness. I look forward to the next installment!

A coffee-shop owner with a cat named Beefcake and a nerd are BFFs. Only he likes her, she likes him, and the cat couldn’t care less…. Crazy Stupid Bromance by Lyssa Kay Adams is the third book in the Bromance Book Club series.

Can a guy and girl be besties? Sure. But can besties cross over to more? How do you know if your bestie is feeling the same? Amid family reunions and big decisions, Alexis Carlisle (Lexa) owner of the cat café, ToeBeans, and computer genius Noah Logan are both secretly struggling with these thoughts.

For Logan, his friends offer him an invitation to the Bromance Book Club and it begins with offering him a romance book to read. Alexis talks things over in her head, with her antisocial cat Beefcake, and eventually her friends.

We’ve got daddy issues, family issues, and meddling friends. Awkward moments, misunderstandings and growth to get through, but along the way we are rewarded with tender moments, hilarious friends, and plenty of family drama.

Alexis may have issues, but this girl is all heart from saving cats to helping victims. There is a moment she feels rejected and assumes the wrong things. It caused some drama, and while Noah ends up taking the blame, it was delightful to see Alexis own her own baggage.

The Russian was pretty tame in this episode, but a development has me eager for his book… folks I need answers.

Humor, sensitive topics, heartfelt characters and friendship abound in Crazy Stupid Bromance. And while this story holds its own, I implore you to read the series in the order of their release.

I laughed out loud several times. It's really lovely to read a book series where men are supporting their friends in a non-toxic way. The way romance tropes are called out in this series never fails to delight me.

I absolutely adore this series! The humor, especially the banter between the male characters, is so funny that I end up reading it out loud to my husband. The dialogue is witty and sarcastic while also being sweet at times and even a bit real. I could picture so many of these scenes taking place in any top-notch rom-com movie. If any producers are reading this: Give Lyssa Kay Adams a movie deal! I really enjoyed the friendship and romance between Alexa and Noah, and I also loved how real and raw each of their life stories were. Grief has its own timeline, so I appreciated that Adams didn't make this process a "tidy" plotline. I also really enjoyed the interplay between characters. I only wish there was even more! Can't wait for the next in the series...

Crazy Stupid Bromance was the light, fun read I needed! Ummm hello Noah.

I simply love the idea of The Bromance Book Club series: such a fresh take on the classic rom-com.

I thought Crazy Stupid Bromance was a much better follow-up to the second book in the series and I can't wait to read the Russian's story!!!

Thank you for offering a bit of reprieve during a stressful time. A steamy, sweet tooth read with a side of serious.

Adams brings back our favorite book club with a fresh story! I don’t know how — but I love every book more than the last. This one took us deeper into the lives of Alexis and Noah. Best friends both dealing with feelings of wanting to be “more.”

Crazy Stupid Bromance had the normal banter that makes you laugh out loud, but it was also a tearjerker. Loved the story, loved the characters, found everyone to be flawed, but willing to have gut check and be better.

The recurring theme in all the books in this series so far is friendship. The men here bond over the romance books they read, the women they love and the woes they go through - together. What I loved most about CRAZY STUPID BROMANCE though is the friendship Noah has with Alexis. He is the rock in her life after it was turned upside down by an abusive predator and the whole sordid affair going public. These two gelled so well and I could see why both of them were so reluctant to move beyond it to something more, despite their strong sensual chemistry. Their connection was on the line and what if it didn't work out?
In a million ways, Alexis was the best thing that had ever happened to him. And he had no idea how to tell her that without ruining it.

Once they move forward the troubles start and I have to admit I didn't like how Noah was blamed for everything - by himself and the men. Yeah, I get it, they respect women and always put them first and that's OK but please, don't always assume that the guy is at fault. Alexis was as much to blame, in both incidences more than Noah so that annoyed me a little.

Lyssa Kay Adams's writing is lovely. She weaves some angst and humor into the story that makes it incredibly captivating. I laughed a little, I was outraged and angry and I swooned because Noah is wonderful.
“Talk to me.” He’d said those same words to her countless times, but tonight, she understood the simple gift of them. He never prodded, never pushed. He was just there, willing to listen, always. Expecting nothing in return.

The author portrayed him perfectly, a hurting man whose anger always bubbles under the surface but with so much reverence and love for his best friend, someone he would go through fire for.

The Russian provides some comic relief but I'm a little worried about his book. So far we've learned about him that he has some bowel issues and while he seems to have a big heart he never left the impression to be hero material. I don't know if I can past his gastrointestinal episodes but I'll give it a chance.

This book is a great reminder that we are all flawed, nobody's perfect and we all make mistakes. Even our parents. Forgiveness and understanding our mistakes are what makes us grow and turn into a better, kinder version of who we were before. I thought the author treated the family issues with respect and I liked how she wrapped them up. This installment was as enjoyable and entertaining as the previous ones, niggles notwithstanding.
Desire or restraint. Passion or friendship. Lexa or loneliness. His brain knew the right answers, but his brain wasn’t in charge. His heart was. With Alexis, it always would be.
