I blame bookstagram for FORCING me to read this delightfully witty, sweet, sexy (and feminist!) series.

This one featured one of the most under-appreciated romance tropes IMO: friends-to-lovers. Now, I’ll forever adore enemies to lovers and the wicked banter and sexual tension it brings, but there’s something so angsty and tender about admitting that you’re falling for your best friend. The story was also chock full of family drama and forgiveness, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Hands down, though, my favorite part was when the guys went for massages and couldn’t decide whether to take their underwear off.

Thank you to @netgalley and @berkleypub for my free digital copy in exchange for an honest review.

This is one of the best friends to lovers I've read in a while. Noah and Lexa were characters who were flawed and overcame the flaws together and separately. I would have liked more of the conflict on the side of Lexa, and a better, more in-depth resolution on Noah's. This being said, I still loved the book and the characters. I felt for them and their stories tugged at my heart.

OK I didn't read the first (Or the second) book, I started with this one and now I must go back and start from the beginning. This book is so cute, with some real-life issues as well. I love the romance brewing. Can someone point me to book club for men? I think my husband could use that.

I swear each book in this series is better than the last. Adam’s completely drew me in with this friends to lovers story d it tackled lots of incredibly important topics. The Bromance Book Club guys always provided the levity we need in these stories and I love whenever they are in action. Adam’s has truly crafted an amazing series and I cannot wait to read the fourth

Crazy Stupid Bromance is the third book in the Bromance Book Club series by Lyssa Kay Adams, and was also one of my most anticipated reads for the second half of 2020! I was very much looking forward to this newest addition to the series, and I’m thrilled to you tell you that it didn’t disappoint!

If you’ve been following me for a while now, then you know that romance books are the ones getting me through this mess of a year, and it’s quickly becoming one of my most favorite genres. I definitely need more books like this in my life right now, and I can’t wait to discover more.

Crazy Stupid Bromance was such a good read. I pretty much loved everything about the book, from the lovable characters, to the addictive storyline, to all the ways it made me laugh… It was great, and just the book I needed to read right now!

If you have started the series already then you will know that each novel spotlights a different couple, and this book was all about Alexis and Noah, who we met previously in the series. I seriously love them both, and their chemistry together was off the charts. And it’s a slow burn between the two… and it was definitely worth the wait! I also loved seeing all the characters from previous books in the series as well. Some of the new characters took a while to warm up to, but they did eventually grow on me.

As I mentioned above, the storyline for this book made me laugh… a lot! It was mostly the guys in the book club and some of the things that they got into, but I definitely had a few good laughs. There were a few eye-rolling moments in the book, because while we really want a man to do some of the things the guys in this series do, it never seems to happen that way. Maybe one day.

The only issue that I had with the book was the organ donation part. It felt a bit forced to me, and I felt like Alexis made her decision a bit to prematurely. It’s a small thing, but did bother me.

Overall; if you can’t tell by reading my thoughts on Crazy Stupid Bromance, I really, really enjoyed it. I definitely need more books like this in my life right now. And I am now even more excited to get my hands on the next book in the series, Isn’t It Bromantic, which is currently set to release June 2021! That will be Vlad’s story, and I can’t wait to read it. I hope it’s fantastic as well!

Happy Reading!

I think this is my favorite book in this series. Noah is such a wonderful character, and I loved that this is his big intro to the series. I loved the friends-to-lovers story here as the two main characters had such a strong connection to each other even before the romance aspect was introduced. And the discussions around PTSD and family expectations were nuanced and interesting.

Just like the others in this series, this one was super fun. I love the spunky romance and the different style. Who else knows men who read romance?? The first is still my favorite couple, but I highly recommend this for fans. It isn't absolutely necessary to read them in order, but I think it adds to the experience.

I love the Bromance Book Club series and was so excited for this latest installment. I always love the friends to lovers trope and this book used that trope so well. But, more than that, this series is great because of the friendships. Noah’s friendship with the rest of the book club led to some of the funniest (and most heartwarming) scenes in the book. And Alexis’s cafe + the side plot with the woman trying to close them down was just hands-down amazing.

Although there’s quite a lot going on this book, Adams does a great job of explaining everything in a way that makes it super easy to follow. Even if the plot was still slightly bonkers at times. I also enjoyed how both Noah’s and Alexis’s relationships with their families developed over the course of this book. They both had to face their inner demons and losses but their loved ones and friends were there to support them. One thing I love about this series is how it portrays working through unresolved issues in such a positive light!

Crazy, Stupid, Bromance was an excellent installment in this series. But I am beyond excited that we’re getting the Russian’s story next. So I’ll just be over here counting down the days until Isn’t It Bromantic? comes out.

I liked Alexis and Noah's personslities and internal conflicts, and appreciate the author pointing out how annoying it is when love interests just don't TALK to each other.

This one was just as fun as the first two, and I'm excited to see if The Russian or Colton get the next story.

Another wonderful story in this series, the characters never disappoint and it was great to know more about Alexis and Noah. Would love to know more about the Russian’s life and his wife.

Loved it! Laugh out loud funny, and I really enjoyed Noah and Alexis as characters.
I also really love the way the author works the other group members into the story so that they all play a legitimate roll instead of being background characters. It really builds the group and adds a lot more depth to the storytelling.

Also, if I haven't send it before - the conversations about toxic masculinity and the vulnerability of the male characters with each other is so incredible to see. There's a lot of gendered stereotypes still in the Romance Novel world and it's really nice to hear the men talking about it for a change. LOVE that about these books.

For fans of friends to lovers romances. A minor female character reminds us that it's just as important for women to stand together as it is for men to stand up for female victims of sexual violence. It's sad to know that there are women who victim blame and put down other women who come forward about their experiences with sexual abuse and violence.

This is quite possibly my favourite of the three books so far. Noah and Alexis was so charming and wholesome. I loved their chemistry, but more than that, I loved their respect and admiration for one another. The writing style is captivating and so easy to follow. It sucks you in and doesn’t let go until you’ve finished the book. This had some amazing comical moments and also some incredibly tender moments. Both characters had family issues they needed to sort through and I think both were done in very healthy, realistic ways. Overall, LKA knows how to write a damn good romance, and Crazy Stupid Bromance was no exception!

What a great addition to this series!

I was anxiously awaiting this story, as Noah has fascinated me for a while- hackers do it for me- and I was not disappointed. I am not usually a fan of the friends to lovers trope, but this progressed quite nicely. I enjoyed watching the relationship between Alexis and Noah unfold. In true Bromance Book Club fashion, there were some pretty hilarious moments that had me laughing out loud. Alexis is a pretty tough cookie and has had some bad hands in life, but she seems to handle them well. The relationships are great, the romance is swoony, I highly recommend this read.

Crazy Stupid Bromance by Lyssa Kay Adams is a contemporary romance novel. Alexis Carlisle and her cat café, ToeBeans, have shot to fame after she came forward as a victim of a celebrity chef’s sexual harassment. When a new customer approaches to confide in her, the last thing Alexis expects is for the woman to claim they’re sisters. Unsure what to do, Alexis turns to the only man she trusts—her best friend, Noah Logan. Computer genius Noah left his rebellious teenage hacker past behind to become a computer security expert. Now he only uses his old skills for the right cause. But Noah’s got a secret: He’s madly in love with Alexis. When she asks for his help, he wonders if the timing will ever be right to confess his crush. Noah’s pals in The Bromance Book Club are more than willing to share their beloved “manuals” to help him go from bud to boyfriend. But he must decide if telling the truth is worth risking the best friendship he’s ever had.

Crazy Stupid Bromance is a contemporary, friends to lover romance that is self aware. I loved the importance put on communication, consent, and honesty (especially with yourself). These are factors in every relationship, and most romance novels, but here they were not just underlying themes and plot points- they were THE point. Neither Alexis or Noah want to lose the friendship they have, and neither can get out of their own way long enough to have an honest discussion about it all because of that fear and the amount of other things going on in their lives. For awhile I thought the sheer amount of intense thing happening to them at the same time was overkill, but then I looked around and thought about my life, and sometimes that's just how it goes. Good and bad all bombarding us at the same time- and getting a moment to process and take a breath seems impossible. I held my breath with both Alexis and Noah more than once, was upset with each of them sometimes for either not listening or not speaking, and relieved when their support systems stepped up and helped. I loved the secondary characters and the community that is clearly built in the books by Adams. I will be going back to read previous book, and keeping an eye out for future releases.

Crazy Stupid Bromance is a sweet and funny romance with plenty of heat and angst built in. An emotional roller coaster to be sure, but still plenty of moments that make readers like me grin.

Absolutely love this series and the third book did not disappoint!!! Loved Noah and Alexis in this friends to lovers trope... I’m usually a fan of enemies to lovers but this one was sooooo good! Bringing back some original characters! And loved Alexis family storyline! Hoping for a fourth book!

Fun, heartwarming, and sexy journey from friends to lovers. The Bromance Book Club is at it again, helping Noah romance best friend Alexis. You can't go wrong with this entertaining story. Everyone wishes they had friends like these!

TW: death of a parent; rape survivor (no description of assault on page); sick parent

This is the kind of friends to lovers story I like. The characters in this have been friends only for a year or so, and as adults, with it always feeling like the timing isn’t right. And it’s obvious they love each other to everyone but them. I really liked their dynamic. I felt they learned from each other, were supportive of each other, and complimented each other well.

This book returned to a lot of the things I loved about the first book in this series. I will say that I do think the author tries to push too many issues into one book at a time. This happened in book 2 and was completely distracting from the story, and didn’t flow. That element was still present here but it did feel more organic this time. There are elements of this series that are almost a little bit too on the nose and self aware when it comes to references by the characters to the romance genre. I’ll likely continue to read this series for characters that interest me.

I have never been let down by a Bromance Book Club tale and this one is no exception.

Each book is better than the last because I'm more invested and always love checking in on previous characters and the club itself. So what did I love about this specific book of the series? Friends to lovers, endless chemistry, and some more serious topics.

I can't wait to see where else this series will go.

CRAZY STUPID BROMANCE

Thank you Berkley Romance and NetGalleyfor the e-ARC in exchange for an honest review. Crazy Stupid Bromance is out now.

⚠️ CW: death of a parent, organ donation, focus on past sexual assault/harassment (conversations around trauma and healing)

🍆 Steam: 🔥🔥 (slow burn leading to a couple open door scenes, descriptive language, some fade to black)

♥️ Trope: Friends to lovers.

Crazy Stupid Bromance is a fantastic addition to the Bromance Book Club series! Multiple laugh-out-loud moments and great conversations surrounding consent and toxic masculinity meant I read this book in just a couple of sittings. I loved the relationship between Noah and Alexis, how it felt like such a natural progression from them being best friends to becoming a couple... even if there was a lot of whining about “not wanting to ruin their friendship.” (My least favourite thing about this particular trope.)

This was one of my most anticipated romance reads of 2020 and it definitely did not disappoint. If you enjoyed the previous books, you will love this one.
