Every Little Piece of Me by Lexi Ryan is an exciting book. The characters are easy to get to know and their heartache is tangible. This is the story about Brinley Knox, a nice girl from a wealthy family, and Marston Rowe, a boy from the wrong side of the tracks. Brinley and Marston meet in high school and it is practically love at first site. Unfortunately, Brinely's dictatorial parents control almost every aspect of her life, and Marston is a delinquent in their eyes. After ten years of being a part, their love cannot be denied.
This is the first book from the authors brand new series, Orchid Valley. The beautiful cover and book blurb is what drew me right in. I liked the characters a lot, especially Brinley's best friends and charming ten-year-old daughter. Marston is a good guy and his rags to riches story is quite compelling. I liked Brinley and felt her heartache from beginning to end. She and Marston are a hot and sexy couple. Unfortunately, the story is repetitive at times. This book may be read as a standalone.

Brinley Knox and Marston Rowe are fated to be together. This is a story of second chances and new beginnings. There is loss and bad decisions with loads of parental disapproval and so much time lost. Bring some tissue and a pillow and get comfortable.

Emotional roller-coaster filled with interesting and engaging charters, witty banter, heart racing twists, emotional moments and undeniable passion. Was a great read from beginning to end.

While this book is wonderful and well written I just can't get past the way it was written.
Half of this book is written in the past, half now. So that means almost every other chapter we get to see a moment from their past. Listen, I like seeing some things from the past that are meaningful to the characters but reading about that almost every chapter makes me want to put down the book. Not indefinitely but I just couldn't read so fast as I'm used to. It slowed me down.
I feel like both the hero and the heroine could be more honest with each other. I mean, the guy left her alone for six months because he was giving her space but she didn't even remember the wedding. There were always some secrets surrounding them.
She was always a good girl even though she was (well, her family) rich she was always kind. And I like that.
But I just couldn't believe that after a tragedy struck she will do a complete one eighty and become so different. It was just a complete opposite to her character and I seriously couldn't believe her actions.
Fast forward ten years, they get married and he has to fight for her. Until the last page of the book she never fought for him. I kind of felt bad for Marston.
So many negative things I could point out but I'd rather write some positive things: Cami, Brinley's friends, the tension and chemistry between the MCs.
3 stars.
ARC also included a separate book, a prequel which was also filled with flashes from past to the present. I didn't exactly like it took me more than one fifth of the book before I could start book 1. I know I could skip it but since I wanted a glimpse from the past I read it. If you consider reading Every Little Piece of Me I'd suggest the same.

I am a sucker for second-chance romance if it is done right, and boy howdy was this one done right. I appreciated the author giving dual points of view in creating a story that I could sink my teeth into. It helped me understand the characters and their motivations. It was especially helpful with Brinley who I struggled with at times. I also appreciated the past and the present timelines because I could see how and why things were the way that they were now. Without those, I am not sure that I would have fully connected with the characters because I wouldn't have known where they started and why it was such a connection that deserved to be fought for again.
There were strong friendships, important themes that were addressed, and a great love story. I would have loved a little less drama at times because it felt over the top and it did make me roll my eyes a few times. However, as this is a first time reading this author it gave me a good idea of her style and gives me high hopes of what the future of this story is, as well as a desire to go back and read previous works by this author.

Brinley and Marston meet when they're both in high school. Marston's a bad boy from the wrong side of the tracks and Brinley is a rich girl who is starting to be disillusioned by her world. Things don't end well but neither of them have forgotten how much they loved each other. Now years later, Marston is rich due to a lot of hard work and an education, and Brinley is struggling. Her controlling parents have cut her off financially so she is marrying someone she doesn't love in a marriage of convenience. When Marson and Brinley meet for the first time in years things get intense and their relationship explodes. I enjoyed this book but not as much as other books by this author.

Every Little Piece of Me by Lexi Ryan is a solid 4 star book if you are in the mood for some angsts romance. There are a lot of flashbacks, which is not a writing device I like. The premise is intriguing: Lexi invites Marston to her wedding, except these two are already married. There is a lot of emotion explored, and not really the sparks that I expected.

I love this book. This is the first book in this new series by Lexi. It captured me right from the beginning to the very last page. I'm so excited for this new series. I love Lexi's writing and her characters. I cannot wait till the next book.
Thank you Netgalley, the author and publisher for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I’m having mixed feelings about this one... I’m giving it 3.5 stars.
Him, I loved. Her, not so much. Which is odd since I loved them both in the 0.5 story (free on amazon). This book just made her seem obnoxious and wishy washy to me. I wanted to shake her several times and tell her to get her act together. That he was and is perfect for her.
Maybe you’ll enjoy this one more then me.

DNF. I really tried but could not stand Brinley. She messes with Marston and even Julian too much. I also did not like the whole situation with Roman and her decisions with him. Yes, she had a lot of sadness in her life, but she never seems to grow up and stop making poor choices. I got tired of reading about her selfish and impulsive decisions and since I don’t think she deserves a nice man like Marston, I will not be finishing the book,

'Every Little Piece of Me’ begins six months after where the prequel ‘Every Little Promise’ ended. You can read this book without reading the prequel first. But I would recommend reading the prequel first. It definitely makes you connect with the characters more. And that story definitely made me love these characters.
It’s been six months since Marston found Brinley gone, with her wedding ring and a little note left behind. Now six months, and a lot of hurt and brooding further, Marston receives a wedding invitation to Brinley’s wedding. You can bet Marston won’t let this happen without a fight. How can Brinley leave him so easily, and invite him to her wedding?
If you read this book description it’s hard to imagine how things would end up like this between Marston and Brinley. How can Brinley plan a wedding with them still being married? It definitely made me wonder a lot. And I just wanted to keep on reading till I read every single page.
The romance between Marston and Brinley was really fun to read about. I just loved their chemistry. And I especially loved Marston. He was such a handsome, sexy, kind guy and I couldn’t get enough of him. I loved how he fought for Brinley, and how he made something of himself.
Brinley’s character frustrated me a little to be honest. Without giving to much away.. I just didn’t like how she let herself be treated by her friend Julian.
Throughout this book, we also read little bits about Marston and Brinley’s friends. I really hope there will be some books about them too because this book definitely made me curious about them.
‘Every Little Piece of Me’ was fun and romantic read, I definitely enjoyed.

I always enjoy Lexi Ryan's books and Every Little Piece of Me was definitely no exception.
Brinley and Marston's relationship is complicated, to say the least. This is a second chance romance. However, it contains flashbacks to their high school years when she was the little rich girl and he was basically the hired help. The tables turn a little later on when they meet up again as adults and it gives the story an interesting feel. There are a few surprises in store for the reader to keep things lively.
Brinley's choices frustrated me a little but I also see why the author chose to write her character the way she did. Marston is pure perfection as a male lead. There's not much to not love with him...he's a great character. He only cares about giving to those he cares about and his worst offense is that he may show his love too much. He has a definite battle ahead of himself when he tries to win Brinley's back to a "forever status."
I really enjoyed getting to know the other secondary characters as well. The beautiful thing about a Lexi Ryan series is the excitement about looking forward to the next book/story where you learn even more about the characters and get to see their ultimate happily ever afters.
Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

I experienced a slew of emotions when I read Every Little Piece of Me. I cried, I swooned and I yelled, mostly at the main female character, Brinley. I thought I was reading a cliche, secret baby romance but the author turned the tables on me and surprised me with her heartrending story. Her use of a past/present timeline gave the characters more depth. Marston is the kind of man any parent would want for their daughter!

I only thing that I love most about romance is a second chance story and this book had all the elements to be a great one.
Unfortunately, something didn’t add up for me, whether was the time laps or we get back together and marry just because we’re in Vegas, I don’t know.
I liked the writing and the characters but I wanted a bit more from them. And when I say more, I’m referring to their relationship now, that they have questions and answers for what happened before and they can start fresh with everything clear.
There’s a lot of chemistry and banter and steamy scenes that I’ve enjoyed.

I really liked this book but I would have liked it better if the heroine wasn’t so naive and stupid. I mean how can one woman have so many bad men in her life and not recognize the good one. It was kinda exasperating. I actually loved Brinley’s friends though. Savvy was awesome as was Stella. The best thing about this book was Marston! What a totally swoon worthy guy. 😍😍 i wanted time punch Brinelys dad in the junk along with Julian. What a bunch of tools. All in all it was a good romance novel but I think I will the next one even

Every Little Piece of me includes the prequel story - Every Little Promise – and it sets the book up beautifully.
Marston Rowe was a boy from the wrong side of the tracks, and some might say Brinley Knox was a spoilt little rich girl. Their relationship wasn't approved of, and they eventually parted ways. Years later they reconnect, and soon realise their lives will never be the same again!
I LOVED this! It's so well written, I couldn't put it down until I finished! Looking forward to the second book in the series.

A story that starts when they are teenagers. Marston moves to her home town because he is in trouble and his aunt takes him in. he begins working for Brinley’s family. The two meets at her sixteenth birthday and for the most part are together until she sends him away because of her parents and another reason. Now years later Marston is very successful along with his partner and he and Brinley meet in Vegas by chance? They spend a night talking and clubbing, in the morning when she wakes, she has a ring on her left finger. She leaves the ring and bails.
Months later Marston receives an invitation to his wife’s wedding, yes Brinley is marrying someone else. So, he does what every husband does and goes to her to remind her that she already has a husband. If only the story would be that easy. It is not. She is still being controlled by her father, now her fiancé, and the two of them are each a piece of work. At times I felt that the only person she took her anger out on was Marston and I felt he did nothing to her. She felt like he was the one that put her in all of the situations that she herself created and was dealing with from the time that she kicked him out of her life. Yet she still knew he would be in Vegas that weekend and looked for him and the reason would be? You figure it out when reading it. The author has going back to the past and then back to the present which added to the story. It took Marston to finally get angry at everything because he truly just loved her, her and he tried to get her to see that when he walked it was now her turn to fight or let him go. See what happens in the end, a very good book with good characters. I received this book from Netgalley.com I gave it 5 stars. Follow us at

Whoa what an emotional roller coaster of a book! So much angst and boy that chemistry! I’m so excited for more of this series!

Marston and Brinley were high school sweethearts—in secret. when the story opens, Marston is a delinquent from the ‘wrong side of the tracks,’ and Brinley is the daughter of the wealthiest family in town. They meet on the night of Brinley’s 16th birthday party, after a cruel break-up scene with her boyfriend. They end up seeing each other in secret, and having lots of stolen moments while getting to know each other. They fall in love, knowing that her parents will never approve. Brinley has a twin sister, who is undergoing cancer treatments. When a tragedy occurs, Brinley takes it out on Marston and asks him to leave. So he does. Fast forward 10 years, and Brinley and Marston meet up again in a Las Vegas bar. Brinley wakes up the next morning with a ring on her finger, and assumes that she and Marston got engaged overnight. So she hightails it out of there, and goes back to her life in Georgia, not realizing that she’s married. And in a rebellious twist, she accepts a marriage proposal that’s partly a business proposition, and sends a wedding invitation to Marston, who has been biding his time and waiting for Brinley to reach out again. Since she’s already married, he needs to stop this wedding and find out why she thinks she’s about to get married.
This book has some periods of really high tension. There are also other parts that are hilarious, awkward, fun, and/or serious. Through her relationship with her friends, she finally realizes some pretty important things. Brinley’s growth arc is well done, but it takes her a long time to reach it. Marston is a pretty steady protagonist throughout, but just has to figure out the best way to relate to Brinley. He understands her as well or better than her closest friends, but he sometimes acts in ways that don’t mesh with that deeper understanding. Let’s just say there’s a learning curve involved. Nevertheless, these two finally figure it out, with a few important revelations along the way.
This book definitely holds the interest of the reader, because there are times when it seems pretty hopeless. Yet somehow, this author makes it work. During some of the higher tension times, this reader had to put the book down and walk away, just to get a break! I was rooting for Marston the whole time, but it wasn’t clear that Brinley would ever find her footing. The author uses the vehicle of friendship to move the story forward in several places, and it’s very effective!

Well, I have loved other books by this author, so I just assumed I would love this one also. Unfortunately I just didn’t like Brinley at all. She was selfish and purposely obtuse. IMO she was worse than her parents. At least they were open about their prejudices whereas hers were much more subtle. I also found the setup to be a bit far fetched and the end too quick. Wasn’t a winner for me, it I will still read future books by the author.
