I received a review copy at my request and this is my honest opinion. Ms. Crane knows how to create characters (both good and bad), action, suspense, and twists and turns that stay with the reader for days after the last page is turned. She also understands the friendship that can exist between women who have known each for years and faced life's ups and downs together. All of this knowledge has been put to excellent use in the creation of Little Deadly Secrets. The women in this book have an unbreakable bond even though it has been tested more than once through the years. Most women desire friends who understand them as well as MacKenzie, Robin, and Lily understand each other,
As with most Pamela Crane stories, things never go smoothly, but it is how these three women face and deal with the tribulations in their lives that create a story you won't soon forget. And make sure there are no critical items on your to-do list when you start reading, otherwise, you are only going to frustrate yourself trying to do two things at once! And reading and driving is never a good thing! LOL! (Please don't ask me how I know.)
I received a review copy from NetGalley and I want to thank them and Ms. Crane for the opportunity to read this book. I also want to apologize to Ms. Crane for being late getting my review done. I know she understands about life getting in the way.

After reading Pretty Ugly Lies, I was really excited about getting the opportunity to read Little Deadly Secrets by author Pamela Crane. And believe me, once again, I was not disappointed. Crane knows how to write thrillers that keep you turning the pages and wanting more. This is a story about 3 female friends who first meet in their early days of college and instantly bond and become the closest of friends almost like family. It goes on to tell of all the adventures and life challenges that they go through with the help of each other. They experience rape, a fire causing disfigurement, pregnancies and raising children, adultery, spousal abuse and lies, so so many lies. But throughout it all, they remain friends. This was a book that covered many topics which held my interest the whole way through. It showed just what a person will do out of love for another. I thought it was a great read and one I recommend to all thriller lovers. I’d like to thank Scene Of the Crime and NetGalley for the invitation and e-arc to read and review. It’s a very good story and one I really enjoyed. I give it a 5 star rating and am looking forward to reading more by this author in the future.

Suspense thrillers are one of my favorite genre's and this book certainly fit the bill. Three best friends, what could possibly go wrong. You have to read the book to find out! Each of the characters in the book have dark secrets, and those secrets can destroy lives. This book has lots of twists and turns, and some of the subjects in the book could be triggering to some readers. I would most definitely recommend this book to others that enjoy this genre.

I received a ARC from NetGalley and the publisher, and was under no obligation to leave a good review. All opinions expressed here are my own.

Robin, Lily and McKenzie have forged their friendships at college, and have made a lifelong pact since.
Nonetheless, along their journey together, each of them has her own skeleton in the closet; and one night of the trio’s reunion has got them into an irrevocable trouble. Layers upon layers of complicated problems have pulled these three women into a dark odyssey of entwined web of secrets and lies, which would threaten to shatter their companionships entirely..
One doesn't know his/her acts in the past would have what kind of influence in shaping his/her destiny in the future.
Pamela Crane has adeptly written this enthralling LITTLE DEADLY SECRETS that is jam-packed intensely with suspense, and some realistic characters, each with her/his own flaws and secrets to hide. I enjoyed tremendously this thriller, and highly recommend it to fans of psychological thrillers.
I would like to thank NetGalley and William Morrow/HaperCollins Publishers for this gripping eARC.

This is an action-packed thriller I would recommend.

I voluntarily received and reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

How far are you willing to go for the ones you love? How much are you willing to forgive?

Robin, Mackenzie and Lily are best friends who have been inseparable since college. They've been through it all together. Marriage, babies, divorce and they're closer than ever. Nothing could come between them. Or so they think. All three of them have secrets that could tear their friendship apart and when the past comes back to haunt them, they just might.

Little Deadly Secrets is full of secrets and twists with plenty of drama to go around. It begins with one of the women murdering her husband and then takes us back nine days to the events leading up to it.
The book is told through multiple POVs which I enjoyed although I would have preferred if it had been limited to just Mackenzie, Robin and Lily. With the short chapters and POV changes it sometimes felt as if it jumped around a bit too much.

The book focuses on important topics such as addiction, consent, rape, and abusive relationships. I wasn't really a fan of any of the characters so I didn't love it as much as I thought I would but if you're in the mood for fast-paced domestic suspense I'd say give Little Deadly Secrets a shot!

What a tangled web we weave! This story shows all the reasons why telling lies can backfire. With a Big Little Lies vibe, Little Deadly Secrets is about deep rooted friendship, big lies and little white lies both to protect others and yourself. There were times at the beginning I was getting characters confused, but once it clicked who was who and who was married to who the book was wonderful. Everything came full circle, yet still enough of an ending where another one would be possible. And I am ready for it!!

3 With Friends Like These Stars

This one has a spectacular opening chapter and goes on to introduce us to three women have been friends since college – Mackenzie, Robin, and Lily – but they all have secrets they keep. These women have some serious issues, including domestic violence, drug addiction, and infidelity.

I admit that I had a bit of a hard time keeping track of the characters in this one. I’m not quite sure I would call this a thriller, maybe domestic fiction. There were definitely some twists along the way, but I didn’t really get invested in any of the characters enough to root for them.

There was one situation that didn’t ring true for me with a teenage daughter at a family party. I don’t want to divulge what happened, but I would have done so much more as the mother.

This was first read from this author and I see a lot of 5 star review for this one, it didn’t quite measure up for me.

This was a very thought provoking book. We see the many layers of the lives of Lily, Mackenzie, and Robin both past and present. The situations in the book which include abuse, infidelity, addiction, and rape could happen to anyone and at times dealing with these issues while reading can get overwhelming. But if you persevere and finish the book, you will be rewarded with a wonderful story with believable outcomes. The one twist near the end of the book gives a sense of redemption to one of the character’s complicated life. Very well written book.

Wow! This book is drama, drama, and more drama! Like... literally anything that could go wrong does go wrong in this one!

I don’t think there was one boring page!

This story of three best friends is sweet, but goes so very sour - and really fast!

I loved how all of their stories entwine I’m so many ways and how it all leads to a crazy climax.

AND I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that this is the first ARC I’ve read in a LONG time without grammatical and/or spelling errors (that I caught, anyway)!

This is one you do NOT want to miss! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC of Little Deadly Secrets by Pamela Crane that I read and reviewed.
This is the first book that I have read by Pamela Crane and it won’t be the last. She as a unique writing style that draws the reader into her story and keeps them engaged until they read very last sentence.
I am usually not a big fan of books that are told in multiple characters perspectives but it really worked well for this book and it lets the reader know what each character is up too and what each one is hiding and how they all are not what they seem. The way Crane tells each characters story through their own voice is brilliant.
Little Deadly Secrets gets five out of five stars.

Three longtime girlfriends, Mackenzie, Robin and Lily find themselves in impossible situations filled with lies, deceit, rape and murder. At what point does a lifelong bond break? These women will find out when all is said and done. There are plenty of twists and turns in this one that kept me invested from start to finish. I enjoyed the character development and inner thoughts of the three women who's POV's the story flows. Easy to read with a quick pace I read this in two late night sittings as it kept me wide awake. I recommend this one to fellow thriller readers and look forward to reading more by this author.

I'm gonna start this by saying that karma really is a b*tch! This was my first read by Pamela Crane and I loved it! Multiple POV's gives you the full spectrum of the story, which was awesome!

It's based on 3 women who have been best friends since college. They're all grown up with families of their own now. They all have secrets that they even keep from each other. Their husband's have secrets too. And so do their kids. There was a new quirk every time you turned the page. And that ending... wow!

Another thriller that was unputdownable!

Every good friendship has its own secrets, but are all secrets as deadly as the secrets between Mackenzie, Robin, and Lily? They’ve been together for almost two decades. Nothing can destroy a friendship of a lifetime, or can it? The plot had a number of interesting twists and turns.

Homemakers Mackenzie and Robin are both approaching breaking points in their marriages. There’s Robin and her four not-so-innocent children, an ever-growing shopping addiction, and a husband who is tired of it all. Then there’s Mackenzie with a seemingly devoted but abusive husband and a sweet little daughter, but is her husband a little too devoted? Will she ever escape him? As for Lily, she has many problems in her life because of her drug addiction. She is tempted towards hook-ups, but will she end up with Robin’s husband, who’s come on to her out of sexual frustration in his marriage?

What are Mackenzie and her husband hiding? What hold do they have over one another? A disturbing incident involving Robin’s 18-year-old son and Mackenzie’s 15-year-old daughter could jeopardise Mackenzie’s relationship with Robin. Is it better to keep a secret to protect someone? Or should you always be truthful no matter the consequences?

The book includes very realistic episodes of domestic problems for the three close friends. They have been together through college, marriages, divorce, and children, but they’ve all been keeping some secrets from each other and someone needs to start telling the truth before it’s too late. So what can really come between these three best friends, what can turn them against each other, what can tear them apart? Are the secrets keeping them together? There are so many secrets among these best friends, but are they that deadly enough to take lives?

This was an incredibly fast-paced, heart racing, and twisty thriller with a great ending. The changing narratives truly keeps you on the edge of your seat, which leaves you guessing as to what the end result was going to be.

Readers will find it a compelling read from start to finish. Its plot pulls out all the stops as the friends confront the potentially devastating consequences of both their past and present actions upon themselves, their families, and each other. It’s a domestic thriller fraught with secrets and lies and just when you thought there were no more to be discovered, another one presents itself.

This novel has it all with a great plot, very realistic characters, and being very well-written, which will likely see it take the psychological thriller world by storm.

Little Deadly Secrets is a twisty domestic suspense novel that I really enjoyed.

A group of friends, Lily, Robin and Mackenzie who had been friends since college have maintained a strong friendship. That is until a secret threatens to destroy their relationships and their existence.

The story was well written with several twists and turns. The pacing was perfect with well defined characters.

I highly recommend this domestic suspense novel.

I received a free copy of this from William Morrow Paperbacks and NetGalley in return for an honest review.

I was hooked when I read the introductory chapter, and the first third of the book was very compelling. However, I found that all three of these POV characters, Robin, Lily, and Mackenzie, were bland stereotypes of 40-something year old women. Robin was the mom with all the kids who is perpetually busy doing "mom things". Mackenzie is the woman who gave up her career dreams to marry a man who is controlling. Lily is the childfree rebel-type character who seems happy on the outside but is in turmoil on the inside. I feel like I've read these same exact characters in so many other books.

The plot was okay, though. It was compelling enough for me to get through, but man did I read it very slowly. I kept putting it down and picking it up and putting it down again. I felt like nothing really happened that kept my attention until the 2nd half of this book. The whole time, the thing that kept me going was the prologue chapter. I just wanted to find out which woman snapped and who ended up dying.

I do think this book brought up some really important topics of consent, rape, controlling and aggressive relationships, as well as friendships and the dangers of secrets. This is a huge plus for me because these topics were handled really well from my perspectives and the things that were in there I felt actually served a purpose and weren't just thrown in to add a shock factor.

Overall this was just okay. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who is looking for a high octane thriller or a fast-paced one. But if you like slice of life thrillers or what I would call "mom thrillers" this is right up your alley.

I received an advanced copy of this book for my review...Little Deadly Secrets is one of the best books I’ve read in a long time. Three best friends from college are now in their forties. Lily, separated and owner of Workout Woman. Robin, married with four children. And Mackenzie, married with a daughter. They have always been there for each other but relationships start to fall apart when Mac confronts Robin about her son's taking advantage of her daughter at a party. Accusations fly and old secrets are brought up.
As these friends and other family members become more entangled in each others lives, the dynamics begin to change within their own families until betrayal and deadly secrets emerge.
A tight story that unfolds as different points of view are told.
Thank you Harper Collins and NetGalley for this e-copy of "Little Deadly Secrets".

Robin, Mackenzie, and Lily have been friends since college. Now, almost 20 years later, they are still the best of friends... minus a few little secrets... secrets that one of them might kill over.

I read this book in two sittings because I didn't want to put it down until I found out what happened. At times, I felt like the characters were written more like caricatures and found them and some of the situations that they found themselves in slightly unbelievable. It didn't take away from my enjoyment of the book, though, and I would recommend it to people who enjoy a good thriller.

This book really wants you to know that it's an edgy thriller.

A story about three friends living with a whole bunch of explosive secrets in suburban Pennsylvania, it definitely delivers on a lot of aspects that people (including me) love about thrillers. There are some great big plot twists, multiple perspectives keep you in suspense, and the characters are deliciously flawed.

However, Crane doesn't always trust that this is enough to keep the reader invested. The first part of the book features a lot of moments where she flat-out states that things are not what they seem or that if a character hadn't done something, then the rest of the story wouldn't have happened. This is a trick that should be used sparingly for maximum effect and in this book, it becomes so repetitive that it distracts from what is happening in the story. If the rest of the book hadn't been so good, then I might have given up on it.

Thankfully, once the plot really gets going, Crane becomes more confident in her voice and the novel truly comes to life. I found myself unable to stop reading because I wanted to figure out what was going to happen next. She definitely leaves a door open for a sequel, which I would be very interested in because I do have a quite a few questions that I need answered.

All in all, the package is there (although there are a few flaws in execution). I thoroughly enjoyed it and while it's not my favorite thriller of 2020, I would definitely recommend it!

Thank you to Harper Collins Publishing and William Morrow Paperbacks for an advance copy of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review!
