I’ve been captivated by this book every night - it’s an amazing stand alone story with all the “can’t put it down” elements a good book should have. Romance! Drama! Deception! Death! This has everything you want all wrapped up in a historically based novel.

Uther Pendragon is leading his warriors on the battle of his life. His wisdom keeper, is by his side as are all the other soldiers loyal to him. This war will not go well. Many lives are lost including the life of Pendragon himself. An eight year old child is trying to escape the battlefield. She runs for her life into the woods.
She was being trained by her uncle the great Wisdom Keeper to fine tune her skills. She also has the rare gift of seeing things.
They will not see each other for another ten years. During those ten years new battles will rage. New alliances made. The one thing that is consistent is the strength and ambition of the women across the different cultures.
When and if the girl and her mother are united, it will be a miracle to behold.
An excellent story!

The Lost Queen was one of my favorite books of last year. I am HAD to get The Forgotten Kingdom and then DEVOURED it only to re-read them both again. The story picks up seamlessly and takes the readers on another journey of fantasy perfection. I am going to recommend the crap out this one too!

Pike's second installment in her Lost Queen trilogy is as exciting and engrossing as the first! Sister and brother Languoreth and Lailoken's stories entwine and intersect in unexpected ways as each strives to to protect what the hold most dear.
