I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. While the book has an interesting background and I plan to read the third, the writing was dull in some places. I had to force my way through the middle part of the book. So, I give this book 2.5 starts around up to 3 stars for Goodreads.

A World of Secrets is a really great book with a beautifully well built world. I am a really big fan of the third person narrator and of how the author tells this story. The characters are well developed and we can see that they have overcome so much in their journey and they grow through their adventures.
I can't wait to read the last instalment of this trilogy!

Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for this eARC.

This is the second book in the Firewall Trilogy. I really enjoyed the first book and was looking forward to reading this one. Overall, I was not disappointed. The world explored in Book 1 was just as rich and vibrant. Taimin and Selena continued their journey, and were joined by additional companions. I felt each character was well represented and made sense. I did think there could be a bit more description or emotional moments, just to round out the story more. Ultimately, I enjoyed the book and look forward to the conclusion.

I liked the story of the first book enough to read it's sequel but sadly, I still miss the show don't tell writing.

Taimin is still a great main character and he has grown on his journey.
The overall premise is also still fascinating and new but the way the story is told is lacking.

As it is, it's an enjoyable read that leaves one longing for more in-depth.
