Who doesn't love a good Hallmark movie? You have the woman Danae who is super organized to the point of changing the final-final itinerary just a few more times, and the man Josh the ultra laid back lives on a boat go with the flow type of guy. And whenever the two shall meet.....

If you guessed instant chemistry and attraction you wouldn't be wrong. Though it isn't without sarcasm flirting, and an ex trying to get back with Danae, oh and a few co-workers who don't get along. Lots of bickering, fun excursions, and a whole lot of team building.

Loved the two of them together, and how they somehow find a happily ever after.

Opposites in every single way. That's Danae and Josh. Usually in opposites attract books, the characters only seem opposites on the surface but these two really are completely different. It made me doubt how this book was going to end.

It took me a little bit to get into this book but once I hit about 20%, I was sucked in and wanted to know how these people on opposite ends of the Type A / Type B spectrum we're going to get along on a boat for an entire week.

This story was light on the angst and completely sweet. It was a great escape.

Danae Danvers has been working very hard for Barton Boats, so she is thrilled when she is promoted to Chief Marketing Officer. She finds out via her boss that the position is interim. First she must prove herself by taking her team on a seven day sailing cruise to promote team building and see if she can get them to work together smoothly. Danae is concerned because her ex-boyfriend is part of the team along with two women who seem to bicker with each other all the time.

Danae is a stickler for organization with all sorts of colored pens and sticker she keep in her planner. Although many fun activities have been included in this trip, she wants to have lots of work for an upcoming ad campaign.

The captain of their boat is experienced with taking couples and groups out for trips along the northeast coast. Josh was once a financial advisor, but left that stress behind to enjoy life on the water in his boat Solitude. When he first meets Danae, Josh is afraid she will turn this trip into all the bullet points in her planner instead of having her team loosen up a little. This is evident when she insults his class on knot making . Will the two of them be able to keep from butting heads and ruining the fun for the team?

Danae is an interesting character. She is practically OCD about her planner and strict schedules. The author slowly reveals parts of the reason why Danae needs to be so organized. The reader can feel more empathy as time goes on not just see her as ambitious and bossy.

Josh has made a life for himself that seems a bit lonely, though he does have family to visit. His background shows how he has retreated from "normal" life and has no plans to settle down, even though he is forty.

I loved the descriptions of the various places the group landed for side trips. It all came alive for me and made me want to visit someday.

The dialogue made the plot flow smoothly and was realistic. I felt as though I was eavesdropping on all that went on.

I highly recommend Sailing At Sunset. It is another heartwarming, sweet romance from Hallmark Publishing. I am so happy to see Hallmark has gotten into books along with their trademark HEA movies.

I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher through NetGalley. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.”

This is a nice clean story about Danae and her coworkers and their team building weeklong sailing trip as part of a new campaign for Barton Boats. Danae not only builds a relationship with her coworkers, she also develops a budding relationship with the captain of their sailboat- Josh.

Danae is a control freak that just can’t seem to let go. Josh has given up the day to say drama and has decided that a life of solitude is all he needs. This is a true opposites attract romance. The author paints some wonderful pictures of sights around Newport, Cape Cod and Martha’s Vineyard.

A sweet story that will leave you wishing for a boat trip! Danae is a type A marketing whiz who sells boats but doesn't sail them. Josh used to be an high energy executive but he's not anymore- he had his heart broken and remade his life on his boat. They meet when Danae hired Josh to take her team out on a week long trip. She makes him crazy with her emails before they meet but when they do finally see one another, it's not immediate but it's a sure thing his heart throbs. It's a Hallmark story so you know it's gonna be a nice one. The characters will make you smile (although at least one of the people on the trip might make you boo), the story is well told, and the scenery is terrific. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. A light fun read that would also be great as a cheer up in the winter.

Set sail with two star-crossed lovers. Different goals. A sweet and charming tale on a sailboat. Wish I were on that cruise. All the delightful stops. Shopping, taffy pulling, and scenic views were all described so well that I felt as if I were there. I do so enjoy Hallmark movies. Appreciate the innocence and getting to know one another instead of hoping into bed and going from there.

Enjoyable Clean Sailing Romance by Hallmark

Danae, a control freak on the rise at work, has been repressing her inner fun-girl for years in order to create a stable life where she doesn’t have to worry about the unpredictable or losing a home. Josh has been there, done that with the stable fast-moving work life and wants to take life as it comes sailing on the seas. He’s been hired by a company that makes sailboats to take their marketing team out on a working retreat. As much as Josh and Danae clash, they have undeniable chemistry whenever she lets down her guard. Unfortunately, her ex is also onboard and it looks like he wants her back. Will Danae’s insecurities about stability drive her back to her ex’s arms? Or will she loosen enough to give Josh a chance? And will Josh decide that maybe thinking about a future with Danae is enough for him to find a home base might hold attraction for him now?

What I liked about this story was the interactions between Danae and Josh. They had sparks when they clashed and sparks when they didn’t. And even though it was secondary to the story, I really enjoyed getting to know the team, each with their own distinct personalities, and how they started coming together after being at each other’s throats.

This is a fast-paced clean romance by Hallmark Publishing, and held my interest all the way to the end.

The opposites attract trope is one I really like and with "Sailing at Sunset", Cindi has created a wonderful, heartfelt and romantic story that'll have readers swooning and smiling, it's a perfect summer read.
The heroine, Danae is kind of a control freak, super organized and focused while the hero, Josh, is more laidback, no longer wanting to be tied up to responsabilities nor commitments; so of course you expect these two to clash and they do but that won't be the only thing that happens, they'll discover more things about the other and also about themselves; it's very enjoyable to read how their relationship evolves; and being a Cindi Madsen book you can expect some good laughs too.
Light, funny and romantic, completely recommendable.

This was my second book that I read by Cindi Madsen and it did not disappoint. It was a great, fluffy romance, that I could easily see being made into a hallmark movie.

When I heard that Cindi Madsen, one of my favorite authors had a new book coming out called Sailing at Sunset, I knew it would be perfect for a summer read. Usually I absolutely love her books but this one was a bit of a slow go for me. Every time I tried to read I found my mind wandering and just couldn't quite get into the story. Danae is the chief marketing officer for a boating company and is taking a week-long sailing trip with her marketing team. Planning every minute to detail to ensure a perfect bonding/working experience, she does not plan on falling for the boat's captain. It took a while before anything happened between Danae and Josh and the ending was a little cheesy and predictable but in a good way. Overall it was a cute story. Thanks @netgalley and @hallmarkpublish for the advance copy! This book comes out July 21st.

Sailing at Sunset by Cindi Madsen a five-star read that will set you up like the sunset. This is a perfect summer read, its light and romantic and just like a warm summers day, I will be honest when I found team building would be involved I nearly stopped reading as I absolutely hate that type of thing but I persevered and it warmed me, I am even planning on taking part in our virtual team BBQ next week now, something I never thought would happen, I planned an internet outage!! When you add a lovely captain well it just makes this a lovely story. You will e swept up in the story and feel the sea breeze on your face, be all at sea with Danae. I have enjoyed this author before and am sure I will enjoy her descriptive style again, don’t miss this great story.

This story has two total opposites come together on a business sailing trip. You feel all the wonder of the places they visit. You actually feel like you are on the boat. Really enjoyed the growing of the relationships and the romance that made it against all odds.

I loved this book for a lot of reasons. I loved watching the two main characters grow as people. I loved the setting. But what I loved the most was that a lot of the things that happened in the plot were unexpected.

This book was by far one of the best that I have read in a very long time. The main character is a piece of work, everything that she does is all business. She is so focused on making sure that she is the best CMO there is even if it derails her love life. Her counterpart is a guy that had his heart broken and he has decided that he will be alone for the rest of his life, and he is OK with that. The two come together in a way that is very unexpected, but fun, none the less. When your boss sends you on a team building trip, a week on a sailboat, and tells you that at the end of this trip, you must all present a cohesive marketing plan, or you will loose your promotion, you focus on the task at hand. Even if that means pushing aside your feelings for the good looking captain. Take a fun and unexpected cruise with a very adverse group of people and see what unfolds in front of you. Thank you for the opportunity to pre-read this 5 STAR book, enjoy!

I love me a Hallmark book and movie!!! This book did not disappoint. We begin this book with Danae in Newport, Rhode Island getting ready for a major appointment to get a promotion. Her mom was obsessed with Greek mythology and that was how she got her name. Danae is challenged with getting everyone to agree on the solid marketing plan. As the employee of a boat company, Danae knew the hard work that went into a boat, as her dad once had one and knew the old saying that was never spoken out loud about boats was that the two best days of a boat owner’s life was the day that they bought them and the day they sold them. Danae was all about selling boats, not about sailing them. However, she is soon embarking upon quite the adventure on this boat. This book had me giggling with the reference to stickers and glitter. I really could not stop laughing throughout this entire book! It has been quite a while since all I did was laugh my way through a book. I was just grateful that my laughter wasn’t heard while on the subway or while at work on a break. The worst part about this book was finding out that there hasn’t been a movie or TV series made about this yet. I look forward to when this does happen! I love my Hallmark movies and books!!!
