Romance, suspense, mystery all wrapped into one!
The face blindness disability that Whitney has is one of a mountain of issues she faces as she is studying for the bar exam. A mountain of debt, and the loss of her mother, her distance from her father, and her struggles to survive with her disability, multiple jobs to start chipping away at her debt and interviews for her a potential position once she passes the bar all combine to make a fantastic story. S.M. paints a perfect portrait of this woman's struggles, of so many aspects of the case that are complicated due to her not recognizing the killer or the victim with her disability. The gradual unraveling of the mystery and murder was so well done. Loved Detective Leo Baroni, who develops an obvious conflict of interest with her, the way the case resolved, and the small every day moments portrayed so well to combine to put you in Whitney's head as things swirl around her and the killer closes in.
So well drawn. A perfect combination of intrigue, mystery, suspense, with a dash of romance as well. The Cryptocurrency was another fascinating aspect of this case. Loved reading how it was part of this mystery, and the background of the murder victim and the connection to Whitney.
Highly recommend if you like this genre.

This is an incredible romantic suspense novel!

The idea that the witness to the murder couldn’t recognize faces terrified me. I can’t even imagine how frightening that was for her. The author did an amazing job of describing her fear. I really liked both Whitney and Leo. The fact that Whitney was able to trust Leo to help her and protect her was wonderful.

The plot of the story was great. It kept me guessing right up to the end about who the murderer was. There were lots of people that were suspects at least for a short time. The fact that the witness couldn’t give the police a description made the whole process much more difficult.

I was fascinated by the information that was included about face blindness and the problems that people with this condition deal with. A lot of the information included about cryptocurrency completely confused me.

Everywhere to Hide is one fantastic suspense story dealing with current events that I knew little or nothing about. I was so intrigued throughout this entire story that sometimes all I could say was Wow! I learned a lot reading this book!

Whitney Garrison in an interesting character that I really enjoyed. She just wanted everyone to let her live her life, and leave her alone. But that wasn’t to be. Her ex-boyfriend made sure of that. There is so much going on in this story, so much tension flying around throughout most of it, it was impossible for me to put this book down. I just had to get to the end to find out who the bad guys were.

Among the interesting things in this story was a condition that Whitney has, keeping her from seeing the faces of humans. This was just so crazy, I had to look it up so I could better understand what Whitney faces every day. Other characters supporting Whitney were her landlord, whom I loved. Detective Leo Baroni was amazing, I love the way he was there for Whitney, especially in her most vulnerable times, the workers at the coffee shop. And there were some I wanted to just smack, especially the ex-boyfriend and total jerk. I never liked the FBI detective from the start. And I could go on about the amazing characters Ms. Mitchell creates to make her story come to life. But you need to read the book for yourself to find out. I only touched on a few things happening here. If you enjoy a really good clean suspense, Everywhere to Hide is a must! I encourage you to give this book a try. And this one is a Five plus Stars for me!

This was a thrilling, unique read and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I would recommend this to any mystery/thriller fans.

Ok this book was pretty good. Not my favorite but it was ok.

It’s about a woman who witnesses a murder but does not see the murderer. She’s not safe because the man thinks she can identify him so things take a turn for her. He has not idea that she suffers from face blindness.

A well written book about something that would be horrible to live with. Not being about to see people’s faces. From the people you love to the ones you work with every day. I guess that would put a spin on the love at first sight thing.

I don’t usually like techie books but this one was ok. It was just a part of the whole story after all. It has a lot going on from abuse to murder. It flowed fairly well after I finally decided to pick it up and actually read it all the way. I had already read about half and just didn’t think I was going to be able to finish. It took me a long time after all.

It didn’t really hold my interest enough to make me keep reading steady. I had to let it go a few times. Like I said, I’m not really into the tech kind of books. Murder yes. Thrillers most of the time. This is a thriller but just not exactly what I was expecting. I liked the main character and most of the descriptions were great. How the author handled the face blindness was done great.

Smart. Engaging. Realistic.

Excellent first-person narration and thorough research, this book kept me up at odd hours. This was my first Siti Mitchell book but it will not be the last. It was more than a fictional murder story, but the author made it into a story that matters.

This was a fascinating book which touches on the subject of face blindness . Its a great novel which makes you think of what it would be like to have it. This book had me guessing and turning the pages.

I thought Everywhere to Hide was a great read and just what I would expect from Siri Mitchell. Five stars.

This was my first Mitchell book but it won't be my last!

The concept of a main character with face blindness was very intriguing. I cannot even imagine how hard it would be for a person. Even reading the story it was crazy how many other clues from people she had to use to remember them.

I loved Leo. I think he moved a little fast, but he was such a great hero even if it probably wasn't very realistic.

Some of the cryptocurrency information bogged me down a little, but overall the entire mystery was very captivating especially with the face blindness added in. Mitchell kept me in the dark until the very end.

Everywhere to Hide was a very good suspense novel. I found the heroine to be a fascinating character. I've never read a book where the MC can't remember faces - even her own - and it was intense to read the story and see the world from her point of view.



I liked how the story had so many twists and the ending was great. I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see what was going to happen. I also enjoyed the romance, even though it wasn't the main focus.



All in all, Everywhere to Hide was worth the read and I definitely recommend it. I am eager to see what Siri Mitchell will write next.

I think my problem with this book was that it wasn’t the right time for me to read it. I will have to come back to this book at a later date to try it again.

Whitney Garrison has survived an abusive boyfriend, law school and growing up with a unique disorder, face blindness. She is working at a local coffee shop and tutoring kids to make enough money to survive until she passes the bar and gets a job at a high-end law firm. She has done all this on her own, not wanting to burden her father and let him know the mistakes she has made. One afternoon she inadvertently witnesses a murder; even though she saw the killer, she has no idea what the killer actually looks like. He could be right in front of her and she would have no idea. He follows her every move and thinks she has information he is willing to kill for. Both the local detective, Leo Baroni, and the Feds get involved trying to keep Whitney safe and find their murderer.

Everywhere to Hide is a unique read that kept me guessing and on the edge of my seat, not an easy task with as many thrillers as I read. I loved Whitney for the protagonist in this story. She has gone through a tremendous amount in her short life so far, and even with her face blindness, she never plays the victim card. She finds a way to work around the problems she faces and learn and grow from the experiences. The face blindness was a new one for me, I have never read anything with that as an issue for one of the characters, it was unique and intriguing. Always wondering if Whitney was about to interact with the killer and not know it made the story that much more thrilling for me and kept me glued to the page. Leo was a great character to be there for her and the way Mitchell brought on the romance aspect of the story was just right for me. It was subtle but enough was there to make it believable and easy to follow. Little hints were dropped throughout that helped everything that happened by the end make total sense. This story is a fun blend of complicated mystery and fun thrill rides, the type of book that can be read in one sitting because you are so sucked into the story. I recommend this to readers that enjoy a fun, clean thriller that will keep them guessing and smiling with delight long after they turn the last page.

Siri has started writing in this new genre and I read her book before this one and loved it so I was very excited to read this one.

I can’t even imagine having face blindness. It made it interesting to read because we are in first person so the whole time the reader is also face blind, we never see anyone’s face. I wonder, though, if that is why I felt a bit disconnected from this book? I struggled with that throughout.

It started off engaging but as it went on I kind of got tired of hearing about all the men that had a crush on Whitney. It was like no man couldn’t walk by her without falling in love. That seemed a bit unrealistic.

There was also no Christian content. It was a clean fiction, but I don’t recall any faith in this book. This could have easily been tied in with her blindness and God helping her to see with the eyes of her heart? I don’t know, just my idea. Or a lesson in trust?

Overall, it was interesting but not what I was hoping for.

I’m a huge thriller fan, but unfortunately this book didn’t do it for me. I appreciated he story plot, the unfortunate disease of not being able to recognize faces and the trouble Whitney went through, but I had a really hard time connecting with the characters. It was really unfortunate that Whitney stumbled upon a murder- who turned out To be a friend of hers, but without the ability to recognize faces, she not only witnessed the murder and the potential killer, but she couldn’t identify them.

The story ended well, but I felt the relationship between Whitney and her father was just added in in order to add more detail to her character... it could have done without. I also felt the relationship between Whitney and Leo was so strange... and it kind of killed it for me.

Siri Mitchell is an incredibly versatile writer. She’s written contemporary rom-com (e.g. Kissing Adrien). She’s written historical fiction (e.g. She Walks in Beauty, and her general market novels written as Iris Anthony) and historical romance (e.g. Love Comes Calling). And now she’s writing suspense.

Mitchell’s first suspense novel was State of Lies, which I thought was excellent. Everywhere to Hide is even better.

The main character (and first-person narrator) is Whitney Garrison, who works two jobs while studying for the bar exam in Arlington, Virginia. She’s recently moved to escape an abusive boyfriend, and worries he might find her. But that becomes the least of her worries when she discovers a dead body behind the coffee shop where she works, and sees the likely murderer fleeing the scene.

Whitney suffers from face blindness. She literally can’t remember faces … which is bad for Whitney, but good for the murderer. As such, Whitney’s condition is a major plot point, and brings an extra layer of meaning to the title. Because the murderer literally does have everywhere to hide: Whitney will never be able to pick him out of a lineup.

Things get worse when someone breaks into her new apartment … Yes, this is a story that starts with a bang and doesn’t let up. It’s full of twists and turns, and is anything but predictable. That’s what I like in a suspense novel. It also has touches of humour (as you can see from the quote above), and some romance. What it doesn’t have (which is perhaps a surprise, given the publisher) is overt Christian content. However, it doesn’t have any graphic language, violence, or sex either.

Mitchell says in her author’s note that it was difficult to write a character who couldn’t pick up emotions from facial expressions they way most people—and characters—can. It’s a testament to the strength of her writing that I didn’t even notice this as I was reading. Yes, I noticed that Whitney was odd even before she revealed her face blindness. But I never felt the story was lacking in any way. Instead, it serves to give Whitney a strong and unique character voice.

Overall, Everywhere to Hide is an excellent suspense novel, and Whitney’s condition provides a unique source of conflict. Recommended.

This is a murder mystery/international crime drama with one major twist. The witness of the murder is face blind. Face blindness is a rare condition where a person cannot recognize people by their faces. Instead they rely on mannerisms, hair color, nametags, etc. So, when Whitney sees a man get murdered outside of a coffee shop, she has no way of identifying the murderer. Because of that, Whitney also isn't sure if she is safe, because the murderer was bound to recognize her. Who can she trust?

First off, face blindness, can you imagine how scary?? I consider not being able to recognize the faces of my children, husband, parents, and it truly frightens me. How do you know who is safe?

Having said that, it was hard to read a book from the perspective of face blindness because it was harder to visualize the overall story, which was probably the point. But it truly did get a bit hazy for me, which was frustrating. But, I still appreciated the chance to dive into that world and walk in another person's shoes.

Everywhere to Hide is the first book by Siri Mitchell I have read and I thoroughly enjoyed it! It is a mystery first and foremost with hint of romance. Our main character, Whitney, has face blindness so although she saw the murderer, she has no way of identifying him. First she deals with local police but then it is taken over by the FBI.

This was an intricate story with lots of jargon about cryptocurrency which, to be honest, I tended to skim over as I don't have degrees in economics and/or finance so it made my eyes glaze over. The mystery side of it I completely enjoyed. It was fascinating to see how her face blindness affected her life and the way she had to make adjustments to compensate for that.

Leo was an absolute star and I loved him. The scene-setting was wonderful and clear, giving great descriptions of where she was and how she felt. As for the whodunnit part - well, let's just say it didn't come as a surprise because my spidey-senses were tingling. More than that, I won't say so you'll just have to read it yourself.

A great mystery that I have no hesitation in recommending.
