I was delightfully surprised this was more than the typical “wrong brother” type of book. It had everything - great character development and depth, pacing, and I didn’t expect it to be so emotional. In the beginning I wasn’t sure about Amanda, but then Noah’s hot (sweaty) and cold alpha hooked me. Amanda eventually grew on me after she (quickly) got over the other brother and by the end I was emotionally drawn into her dilemma.

I didn’t love the friends (previous books) or their advice, but appreciated Amanda’s handling of the situation. There were long inner monologues that I found myself skimming. The explicit sex initially caught me off guard. I also didn’t feel like Luke really redeemed himself in the end.

BUT after reading it in a day, I would recommend this book. I felt like the characters both grew and there was a depth of emotion that sets their story apart from others.

Amanda has had a crush on her co-worker, Luke for several years. And she doesn’t like his identical twin, Noah, at all. One night while on a group vacation, she decides to go for it and climb into bed with Luke. It turns out that Noah is sleeping in Luke’s bed. They’re both horrified and then keep engaging in sexual encounters. Suddenly, Amanda is no longer interested in Luke and now has fallen in Noah. All this is happening over a few weeks. The only problem is that Noah has accepted a job in Los Angeles and he and Luke are soon moving out there from New York.

So you have to buy that Amanda and Noah can flip in an instant from not liking each other to falling so deeply in love that Noah will give up his plans to take a new job across the country. And it all seemed based on some hot sexual encounters. Yeah, that was a no for me.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book that I received from Netgalley; however, the opinions are my own and I did not receive any compensation for my review.

Oh, the perils of being attracted to the one person you profess to dislike immensely. Amanda thinks she wants Luke and is sure that his brother, Noah, is just ten pounds of jerk in a two pound bag. Noah is sure that Amanda is a flighty pain in the rear and that his brother is being cruel by encouraging her crush. Then the wrong brother ends up in a bed Amanda falls into and sparks fly. Noah and Amanda both have somewhat skewed views on their self-worth and how others see them, so they almost destroy it all by cheapening their relationship and calling it a fling that just needed to get out of their systems. But when push comes to shove, neither of them wants to leave the other. They just need to be strong enough to take the risk of love. And who knew that Luke would be the person to cheer them on and help them fix their rift?

I enjoyed this read. It was fun, humorous, a little emotional, and didn’t give us any cruel friends just for entertainment. Overall, it was a solidly good read.

Pretty sure Noah appreciates it when his woman catches him off guard, “you know plenty of things my mouth is capable of,” she teased and was pleased to see she could disarm him so easily—even if she was a sweaty mess..." I liked this book, I like Noah.
