Although it was of interest to me, unfortunately it felt like I was being bombarded with numbers rather than information about the aircraft flying during the World war II.
A real disappointment.

A general and interesting introduction to the aerial war during WWII. The author provides a cursory overview of the various nation's air power and the book concentrates on exploring the European and Pacific Theatres, the two chief areas of operation during WWII. We gain an understanding of the overall strategies and tactics employed in both theatres. Whether this is your first introduction to this subject or an avid reader on this subject's history, you will not be disappointed.

I want to thank Net Galley for this advance copy.

Though not a perfectly balanced book in terms of coverage, and though it does not provide much in the way of original scholarship, this is a well-crafted and engaging overview of airpower in WW2. It concentrates on British, German, and American strategic bombing efforts but provides enough coverage of other subjects like tactical uses of airpower on the Eastern Front and the aerial campaigns in the Pacific to substantiate its claim to comprehensiveness. Well worth reading for an up to date treatment of the subject.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the eARC!

An interesting historic al and fact based look at aerial war during WW2. The author provided interesting details about the birth of the air forces and the importance of the efforts to continue to improve on the designs and capabilities. For an avid history buff this will be an interesting read.

Thank you to #net galley for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.
