I did try this book, in fact I read about a quarter of it. It didn’t work for me. There’s plenty of action and a good dose of intrigue, but virtually no character definition. And it all felt jumpy too. I found myself re-reading sections thinking, did I miss something? There might be a good story in here but I wasn’t finding it. I hope others like it more.

I don’t plan to post a review on this book as it would be negative and I’m not looking to do it down.

It was a decent story but needs work from a grammatical perspective. Specifically the comma use. The comma was put in the wrong spot a lot of the times which took me out of the story. If I was listening to the book on audiobook it would have been a different perspective on the book. Also the internal dialogue was written in a way that was confusing if the characters where actually talking to someone else or just thinking to themselves

A solid 4 star book. I really enjoyed the plot and the delve into tribel ongoings in America and how they can be corrupt in their own ways. This book follows Elton who works at a law firm and gets framed for murder, just as his father was years ago. Its then goes into how many paths can cross and the side of right and wrong can get blurred easiy. Overall I enjoyed reading a mystery in a different setting and that had very stong take aways from reading it.
