Thank you NetGalley for providing me an e-arc in exchange for an honest review. My review is my own and not influenced by others.

The cover of this book and the description caught my attention so I was exited to get the opportunity to read this book. However it didn’t get me the way I thought it would be. It was a quick read with a lot of action but the flatness of the characters in their reactions hold me back to like this book. Which I find too bad because the story has enough potentional if the characters had more depth.

Thank you netgalley for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This was a lukewarm paranormal romance with more action than romance. Hana is a nurse assigned to taking care of superheros called Palladian. She's forced to help one of her patients when he is pursued by evil bad guys with guns. While I found the world building and constant action entertaining, I felt the novel was missing a more profound storyline. Just felt the story was a bit basic for such a fascinating genre.

This is a quick read and to some may be enjoyable however it was not for me. I am not a fan of women putting down and undermining other women even if they make amends in the end.
Although easy to read and the Marvel mentions were great unfortunately I just could not get excited about it. It may have been because it was only a short book and so the relationships were not able to be formed so that I could start to relate to them or if it just was not the story for me.

I adored the premise of this book. It was a very solid start to a promising series. Hana is a nurse and former combat medic. She has been working for the super secret government agency that governs individuals with super-hero like abilities who work for the government. Those superheroes are known as Paladins. Hana has made it her personal policy not to date superheros. She is professional and helps them heal - then moves on down the line. She keeps her distance and personal/professional life very separate.

Bashir changes all that when he breaks in to Hana's apartment to ask for her help with some medical issues he experiences after an injury. All of the issues point to something more serious going on. He and Hana have to head off on the run as quickly as possible to get away from some bad guys. As they go, they get closer and closer.

I loved this story and the introduction to this universe. It sets a clear dividing line between groups. In a lot of ways, it reminded me of X-Men. It also leaves a lot of questions lingering and a lot of fascinating characters to dig into.

If you love paranormal romance or urban fantasy - with a side of romance - this is a great read for you.

I received this as an ARC from NetGalley, but these opinions are all my own.

I Don’t Date Superheroes is a fast fun read filled with surprise bad guys, quirky super heroes and mean girls. I found the story quick paced and thoroughly delightful. I look forward to future adventures with the Paladins.

I got really excited by the blurb of this book, and it didn't disappoint. A fast, easy read, I Don't Date Superheroes follows Hana, a nurse who patches up superheroes as she falls for cocky hero Bashir.

The two of them were fantastic characters, and really came to life on the page. The relationship built organically and so felt quite genuine, and there was a good dose of action keeping the plot flowing.

This book was a fun sweet romance read. It kept the excitement and I loved Hana and Bashir’s growing relationship amidst the action.

I enjoyed this quick read. Some of the novel went a little fast without much warning. This book definitely shows promise of becoming a good series to read. I like the idea of superheroes and these superheroes seem to be more human than the superheroes I am used to reading about. I am looking forward to the next book in the series. Hopefully Hana gets to do some field agent work!

This was a fun enough little diversion, but it seriously lacked polish. There were multiple cases where the inconsistency in tense, or other grammatical errors, made sentences so confusing that I had to stop and try to figure out what in the world was meant. This is a small sort of problem, and one that would easily be corrected by a good copy editor, so I'm hopeful that the final version of the book will address those issues. The bigger problem is the flatness of the characters' reactions to -- well, everything. The protagonist's house is broken into and the intruder puts his hand over her mouth, then it is broken into again, and the protagonist has to shoot two more intruders -- all while in her bathrobe -- and we never get any sort of sense of emotional reaction from her. That's in the first few pages, and it happens again and again. Something crazy happens, and she doesn't even react. The end of the book felt rushed and nonsensical. I can tell that the author had a lot of fun writing this book, and I didn't hate reading it... but it needs more revision and editing to make it deserving of more than one star.

I really enjoyed this book. It has been a long time since I have read a superhero book and I am so glad I got to read this one. It wasn't that intense of read and was rather enjoyable. I really liked how the female lead, although not a superhero was able to take care of herself. Due to it being a shorter book and a quicker/lighter read, some of the characters emotions/background felt a little rushed. But besides that I would definitely recommend this to anyone who loves a superhero story, especially for fans of the DC Icons series.

This was an okay Romance book. The pacing was a bit weird and the romance never really developed for me. I did not really see the chemistry between the two characters. I actually quite liked Hana as the protagonist. Bashir on the other hand was not so much of a memorable romantic lead. Overall this was a quick romance read that was okay overall.
