Thanks to netgalley for the chance to read this book.

My first book by Georgia and I absolutely loved it.

Vicki meets Oliver in the bar one night where she works and before he leaves he proposes to her. She brushes him off, she then runs into him again literally and he asks her to pretend to be his fiancée to fool his mom into thinking he is settling down. As they try to keep up the pretence they end up falling for each other unexpectedly. Will they get together for real or will Vicki and Oliver decide to go there separate ways.

This was a light, easy read that you can easily get swept up in. I liked the character of Victoria and I really liked the sound of her handsome and successful love interest - who wouldn't want to date someone who owns a luxury department store! The story was predictable but fun, and with some Christmassy elements thrown in it's a good book to curl up with with a hot chocolate .

I absolutely adored this story. I wasn’t at all sure what to expect with reading a new author but I loved it and I honestly could put it down.!

A devastatingly handsome billionaire and a talented but downtrodden heroine make up the essential elements of this story. Oliver is heir to the department store Russell and Co and Victoria is a bar manager and an aspiring fashion designer.
When Oliver meets Victoria, he offers a proposition: pretend to be his girlfriend at the opening of his store, and he will provide an opportunity for Victoria to showcase her designs.
An enjoyable, predictable, easy read that I know loyal romance followers will enjoy immensely.
I want to thank NetGalley, Mills and Boon and Georgia Toffolo for a pre-publication copy to review.

Very well written and lovely characters, one to curl up with a mug of hot chocolate to while away the hours on cold winters evenings. 5 stars

A pleasant and easy read that I am sure romance fans will enjoy. I would have liked to have seen more a spark between the characters but that is just a personal preference.

Meet me in London is a great little Christmassy love story. The main characters Oliver and Victoria were really likeable and the stories they had felt believable.

Although predicable at times, if you are after a cute story to curl up with on a cold winters day then you won’t go wrong with this one.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for an advanced copy of the book.

I'm not someone who has to read Christmas books only in the last two months of the year. I can and do read them all year. So I was more than happy to read this set in a snowy December book in a mostly sunny August.

I really loved Oliver and Victoria. They met really organically, in a bar, and although they clearly hit it off it was refreshing that didn't immediately jump into bed or a relationship. They actually stayed in contact because they each had circumstances they could help each other with. As they worked together towards a common goal they inevitably fell for each other.

Oliver reminded me a warmer C. Grey what with his grand gestures and I loved that Victoria showed me previously little known of areas of London.

This book was light and sweet but also touched on heavier topics that I don't find in books very often which I really appreciated about this one.

I understand this is the first of four books. I hope that means that Victoria's three girlfriends she's kept in touch with from her youth each get a book because they sound as though they live fascinating lives. Also I really want to learn more about the seaside town they all grew up in!

Meet Me in London by Georgia Toffolo a sweet Christmas romance. I did something I never do with this one, I read it on my kindle for a couple of chapters and then listened to the audiobook for some chapters and back and forth, it did take a little doubling up, but I enjoyed it overall. This was a good story, it wasn’t great, but it was good and charming and Victoria was a character I warmed to as the story progressed, I did want to shake her once or twice, but she warmed me more than anything. There is a good storyline and some great writing, it is predicable at times, but if you are after a charming story to curl up with on a cold winters day then you won’t go wrong with this one, the kids made me smile so much. They added a levity that brought the story up, as it could have been so dark, worry over the shop coming, the accident and then health issues, but somehow there was a joy to this story as well, I enjoyed listening to the author tell the story, there was something about it that made me smile, and when I was reading the words I could hear her voice in my head telling me the story, it was a new concept for me and I really enjoyed it.

Many thanks for providing me with a copy of this book to review. I love romance and Mills and Boon generally and have been a fan for many years and buy loads as they help to lift and ease some of the heaviness of my day job! However, I have to be honest and say I struggled with getting into this book. The writing does feel very young and somehow to me didn’t seem to flow. I think perhaps this story was just not for me.

A romance with a difference. I really enjoyed this book - the opening of a departmental store with all the paraphernalia that goes with it versus local shopkeepers and parents that want to see their son married.. Well thought out and well written- kept me entertained from start to finish

This is rather sweet, a lovely read. Ideal romance to read on a winter evening - snuggle down on the sofa, curl up with a big hot chocolate and enjoy!

Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for giving me the opportunity to read this book in exchange for my review.

Have to say that is is not really my normal read but it was perfect for a few miserable, wet lockdown days.
Really good for a debut novel,, touch of Daniel Steele.
Loved the characters and their chalk and cheese backgrounds. Lovely to read how real friends are there for each other.
I suppose the ending was predictable but why not?

A charming Mills and Boon romance with a nice modern day twist. I can honestly say this was such a lovely easy read that made me feel a tad Christmassy even in August! The characters are both likeable and relatable and each one has something unique to bring to the book. Whilst being slightly predictable, there were enough twists and turns to keep me interested all the way through and I found the last 50% of the book very hard to put down. Overall a great first fiction book by Georgia and I really hope it won’t be the last!

This has to be one of my favourite reads this year. From the first page to the last I was hooked. I loved the main characters especially Victoria who, with the help of Oliver and her three friends, was able to regain her confidence and look forward to her future

Victoria is a talented dress designer and lover of vintage fashion. Oliver is working towards opening another large store for his family firm. When Victoria agrees to be his pretend girlfriend things really get interesting

Aspiring clothes designer Victoria Scott spends her days working in a bar in Chelsea, and her evenings designing vintage clothes, dreaming of one day opening her own boutique. But these aspirations are under threat from the new department store opening at the end of her road. She needs a Christmas miracle, but one is not forthcoming. Oliver Russell’s Christmas is not looking very festive right now. His family’s new London department store opening is behind schedule, and on top of that his interfering, if well meaning, mother is pressing him to introduce his girlfriend to her. A girlfriend who does not exist. He needs a diversion. Something to keep his mother from interfering while he focuses on the business. When Oliver meets Victoria, he offers a proposition: pretend to be his girlfriend at the opening of his store and he will provide an opportunity for Victoria to showcase her designs. But what starts as a business arrangement soon becomes something more tempting, as the fake relationship starts to feel very real. But when secrets in Victoria’s past are exposed will Oliver walk away, or will they both follow their hearts and find what neither knew they were looking for.

Oh I simply love a cosy, wintery romance. Even though I read this during summer, I still felt cosy and snuggled throughout the read. The book really feels like a hug and it was just a pure joy to read. So I was a bit wary of reading this, especially around whether the writing style would be decent. I need not have feared, this is well written, easy to read and at the end of the day, when the plot is this charming does it really matter.

The plot is simply lovely, very festive and nicely balanced against life events and the emotion and angst that comes with this. The plot is not full of twists and is obvious but it does not matter when it leaves you feeling happy and satisfied that you have read a charming romance. Sometimes all you need is a bit of happiness.

The characters are wonderful too, very likeable, realistic and I shared their enthusiasm and joy for their lives. Victoria and her friends felt like mine by the end of the read and Oliver is just a great character whom I could envisage.

'Meet Me In London' is the perfect winter romance. Get snuggled up and cosy with this joy of a read.

Thank you to NetGalley and Mills & Boon for an advance copy.

I wasn’t sure what to expect when I started reading this book but I really enjoyed it! I found the character of Victoria extremely likeable and the story was engaging, if not a little predictable. There was real chemistry between Oliver and Victoria from the start. Christmassy romance at its finest and set in London with some beautiful descriptive paragraphs which had me almost feeling like I was actually there. Some of the paragraphs felt perhaps a little too descriptive and didn’t flow as easily but overall I would highly recommend this book for a welcome bit of escapism in the current climate.

A good, well written read as a change from my psychological thrillers, all the characters were well developed and the story flowed well.

Thank you to Netgalley and Mills & Boon for giving me the opportunity to read this book.
