Romance fluffy contemporary book
This book took me by surprised I love it every chapter had a different scene new plot you was on you edge reading it I couldn’t wait two turn the chapters two get two the next one. The characters were amazing friendly and lovely the recipe in the book the cake the tea the soup make you want two make and eat them all. I hope people those this book the way I did.

Katie was staying in Bali and now her time was up she been staying there a couple of weeks in Bali she was planning two get married and her fiancée cheated on her told her he needed space and when on a stag weekend two Ibiza and never came. Back. She hated him so much he emptied her bank out the saving money for the wedding he took it all Katie couldn’t believe it. She Met Agatha you helped her allot she help her in Bali with the cooking school and helped the kids do sugar craft lesson but she loved her time there but her time was up her money was low and knew she couldn’t stay in Bali so Agatha offered her a job in Cornwall running her old Cafee by the seaside and wanted her two give it a new name there was three months bill all signed up so nothing two worry about Katie agreed she fought the change would do her great she hoped on a flight two the Cafee. The Cafee was run down needed paint so her neighbours jay and Oscar give her paint brushes and helped her paint the caffe it turned out great. It was amazing the rugs light cushion candles she hired tali’a who was eighteen and worked there before.
Just has thing was looking nice Greg came round in a suit smelling of sweet aftershave asked for Agatha number he wanted two but the property of her for 40000 pound Katie stomach turned she didn’t say anything and they were shouting if he went Oscar said don’t tell him Agatha number cause she won't sell two him He after everybody property her on the beach for luxury apartment. That night Oscar cooked katie a lovely pasta meal and she thank him for that he offered two help at the pizza making theme night so he went round made loads of dough for the children made them rise and Katie showed the children how two make dough decorate it favourite topping they all enjoyed the night and drank lemonade she tried not two think about greg offer and not tell Agatha that night her and Oscar had pizza and enjoyed a kiss as well things were looking up.
There were loads of theme such as the flower show by jay Zoe beauty salon night the book club night the knit and natter day she made a small profit from the theme night but not all two safe the caffe. She sent a small amount of profit two Agatha for the school of cooking night it. Wasent much 35 pond but it do. She wanted two phones Agatha tell her the success in the theme night and didn’t want two take greg offer he round a couple of time with a soilictor letter as well.
She met a lovely lady Dorothy in the hospice after giving jay the flowers he left over for the hospice. Katie went out with Oscar a few tunes learnt that his brother died and he was afraid of water and Agatha was his aunt who owed the gallery shop and flat as well.
They had annual festival that went so great she sold most of her cakes made allot of profit from the festival has well it was a brilliant day. Oscar gave her a letter from the hospice and it said that Dorothy was two give her 30000 two help the caffe after she passed away Katie was upset she died but was so grateful that she had the check it meant the caffe was saved after all and her and Oscar were together as well and Tallia went two travel two Bali with Ryan two helped in the cooking school. It was a lovely book I’m so glad I read it I fully enjoyed it I was so invested in the book.
I give it five star rating.

I have heard about the book in social media. The pretty cover and the synopsis of caught my attention to read it. The plot is set in a cafe. It is a story about friendship, fresh starts and love. The characters are adorable. I liked Katie, Agatha and Talia. Overall, it is a cozy feel good book

This was a great summer read, it was a nice feel-good story. When Katie‘s fiancé jilts her and leave her high and dry she goes to Bali on their honeymoon by herself. When it’s time to go back to reality, she realizes she doesn’t know what she wants to do. Her new friend, Agatha, offers her the opportunity to go to her hometown, a small Cornish town and try to make a go of her café, she has three months to make it successful. Katie takes her up on the offer and we follow her as she tries to navigate this new town, new friends, perhaps a love interest, and just finding herself. It was an enjoyable read and I would definitely look for more books from this author in the future.

Be ready to be pulled in and captivated until the end.
As the story progressed I just couldn’t put it down, I loved it.
I would love to work here in this cafe among such wonderful people. All the characters are lovable (well nearly all!) and the author brings them all to life in a way not all authors can. As you read the story you can hear how the characters speak and can envisage how they look and their mannerisms.

There may be a few predictable moments, as you would expect from this genre of book however what I really liked was that it wasn’t a case of everything going swimmingly as soon as the main character, Katie, got settled in a new area, there were teething problems and speed bumps along the way for her, as there is in the real world.
I loved the heartwarming community feel this book has, bringing everyone together as well as being kind hearted, eco friendly and charitable.
Some books have a tendency to be a bit repetitive and really draw out some aspects of the story, not giving up its secrets until the end but this one was really on point. There was no ‘fluff’ filling out the plot, just a great story line.
What’s more, I loved the ending, it wrapped the story up so well. I want to read more! I want to stay in this little village and hear more tales from the characters.

I feel that the author isn’t just telling a story, through her characters and the things they face and the way they deal with the challenges that life throws at them, she is speaking to her audience, telling them it’s okay if you have problems, there is a way back to positivity, a way to deal with the past. Thank you Rosie Chambers for a fantastic read, would recommend to all, I will be looking out for more by this author.

An adorable, heartwarming read, full of fabulous characters. I adored Katie and the community cafe, there were such A wonderful cast of supporting Characters too. I found it a bit questionable that she would jump straight into a new relationship after the last ones issues, but I still really enjoyed the story. It’s set in Cornwall too so that’s always a win for me. Great summer fun read.

This is a cozy, heartwarming book (with a little bit of sadness mixed in.) I enjoyed this book, but I didn't absolutely love it.

I loved this book. Nice easy Summer reading. I liked Katie as a main character and I love the idea of a community cafe that does volunteer work and has social evenings. Really I would like to run a cafe like that, especially by the beach.! I lost myself imagining it was me

A great selection of supporting characters - loved Agatha and would like to have heard more about her, also loved Talia. I felt there were many supporting characters who could have a book of their own!

Really enjoyable - read in a day! My only (minor) criticism was that the love affair exploded very quickly and I know that coming from a difficult relationship it wouldn’t be that easy to trust again so quickly.

I’d be lying if I said that the cover of this sweet story hadn’t played a part in drawing me in, because it absolutely did, and who could blame me, really, when the cover looks like that?! It’s just gorgeous, and so inviting, it truly makes me want to leap into it and start my very own life in Perrinby beside the sea. The cover depicts a warm and attractive café right on the coast, which is exactly what we’re treated to within the pages and if, like me, you’re perhaps partial to a cosy, fixer-upper story with plenty of friendship and romance mixed in, then Katie’s Cornish Kitchen will be the perfect read for you, I promise.
Katie’s Cornish Kitchen by Rosie Chambers is a delicious way to explore the Cornish village of Perrinby alongside Rosie’s leading lady, Katie Campbell. The setting for this story was such a pleasure to wrap oneself up in, and it ticked all of those things that I adore so much in a seaside-set story. From the welcoming, vibrant community of Perrinby to the delicious food and adorable interior of the café which Katie takes on, there was so much that brought this village to life on the page. The author creates a world which is entirely believable, and a place which evokes a real sense of community spirit where help is always readily available and a friendly ear always ready to listen. It’s safe to say that life in Perrinby is desirable, and is the perfect place for Katie’s story to unravel.
Katie’s Cornish Kitchen is all about picking oneself up, dusting oneself off and beginning again, and it’s a relatable theme to go with because I think everyone has had to do this at least once in their life. It focuses on Katie’s transformation after she is jilted by her fiancé Dom, when he chooses to remain in Ibiza following his stag-do, to follow his music career dreams, rather than returning home to become Katie’s husband. This is, of course, the ultimate turning point for Katie, because not only does she have to unpick her own wedding plans, but she is forced to consider the truth behind her and Dom’s relationship, and to face her not only Dom’s faults, but her own, too. A heart-breaking thing for any woman to have to do, but a life-changing one nevertheless. This is the moment Katie can reassess her life, choose which direction she wants to head in next, and figure out what it is that she really wants from life, and from a potential partner.
I feel like this is a really inspiring story as well as being entertaining. Rosie Chambers is showing her readers that even when life gets tough, don’t give up, keep going, because who knows what’s waiting around the corner? It’s an uplifting message and it certainly shines through in Katie’s journey of self-discovery and self-love. Rosie Chambers highlights the positives further, in the arrival of new friends in Perrinby, as well as support and encouragement when Katie needs it most. The sense of community was another powerful theme within this book, that of which only intensified the obvious importance of friendship and having people to turn to, while Katie became accustomed to her new surroundings. Rosie Chambers delivers a bright, vibrant and lively cast of characters to readers, all of which add a unique dash of fun and enjoyment to the plot and all of whom are people you’d really love to get to know in real life, too.
All in all, this was a gorgeously uplifting and upbeat story with a whole lotta heart at its centre. I loved the characters and I adored the setting and I’d love to re-visit Perrinby in the future to be reunited with these wonderful characters who added so much colour and depth to the plot. At the heart of it though, Rosie Chambers leaves readers feeling capable of chasing their dreams, taking chances and being brave. Life is for the taking, so take it while you can! I thoroughly enjoyed this seaside tale and I really look forward to reading more from Rosie Chambers in the future!

I loved this book. I didn’t really know what to expect but read this late into the night.

Katie has been abandoned by her fiancé after his stag night and escapes to Bali. Once she has depleted her savings, she needs to make a new start. She had been working with Agatha at a cafe and is given the opportunity of a new start in Cornwall.

This leads to some incredible adventures, new friends and a new job. I loved how this story came together from Talia who was set up as someone you’d love to hate but was warm and hilarious to the hunky next-door neighbour.

My only issue is that I now want a good cupcake.

This is a fun and warm holiday read with a bit of tragedy mixed in.

Katie’s Cornish Kitchen follows the story of Katie, who been left heartbroken and betrayed by her fiancé, who goes on his stag weekend and never returns and also cleans out their bank account. Katie uses some money she has put aside and sets of on a holiday to Bali, where she crosses paths with a lovely lady named Agatha. Who also is facing her own battles

Agatha can see that Katie is in desperate need of rebuilding her life an her self-esteem and hands over the keys of her cafe to Katie and tells her that she has a few months to make a go of things. Along the way Katie is faced with some challenges but gains herself some wonderful friendships, finds love and becomes a very important part of the community.

Katie’s Cornish Kitchen was a great easy feel good read, full of fun, friendship, romance and happy endings. Definitely recommend to any one looking for that perfect book to escape.

I really enjoyed this book the only took me a couple of days to read from the very first page you are pulled into the story the characters are so likeable Kate and Oscar are absolutely adorable you will feel like you know them you'll feel like they're your friends and family it sounded such a magical place Rosie describe the scenes I could picture it clearly in my mind I just wanted to be there and eat some of the delicious cakes that they were telling me that we're making it's such an easy book to follow your took on an adventure Kate I don't want to say too much but has 3 months to sort the cafe out if you follow exciting plans and adventures that she has in them 3 months the chapters of a nice length and you are pulled into the story I didn't want the book to end I hope it carries on you found out a lot of interesting things about Kate and Oscar and you just wanted the story to carry on I would recommend that everybody read it's a lovely book very fun when they describe the cakes at the making you just want to eat them The characters one Takia I loved her in particular she so fun and vibrant i

Katie's Cornish Kitchen is a fun read and you will meet some amazing friends along the way.
Katie got a message from her fiance she never expected. So, this was why she was going to Bali to figure out her life. While there she meets Agatha and they became fast friends.
Agatha's had an idea of how she could help her move on in her life and asks her to help bring her café in Cornwall back to life. Agatha covered all the bills for three months and after that if Katie did not feel it was working, she could give her back the keys.
Katie puts herself into seeing the café makes a profit and, in the process, she makes friends with some wonderful people.
Katie meets Oscar and she feels her life changing.

Katie's had some tough times lately but she's incredibly lucky that she's met Agatha! Agatha offers Katie the chance to manage the cafe she owns in Perrinby, Cornwall- and she offers her three months expenses upfront. Turns out that the cafe needs more than a little work AND even worse, that developers are circling. Katie, however, makes friends in the village- especially Jay and Talia- and turns things around through a combination of optimism and good works. AND then there's Oscar, the love interest. He's got his issues, sure, but he's a good guy. There are no surprises here (well, maybe some that will make you smile) but it's a nice read that's perfect for a day when you want some cheering up. I was excited to read this book as Bali and Cornwall are two of my favourite places!

Kate escapes to Bali after being dumped by her fiancee when he doesn’t return home after his stag do. She meets Agatha, a beachside cafe owner and this seems to be just the thing to mend her broken heart.
I enjoyed the writing and the descriptions of Cornwall and the food. However the plot was predictable but I think with these types of books you read them for the heartfelt story rather than a twisty plot.
I would recommend this book if you enjoy lighthearted romance and escapism.

My thoughts...
It’s that small town, predictable, leave-you-with-a-smile type of rom-com. Lately, when I’m in between books, I’ve been picking up rom-coms. Probably because I know it’ll be a quick-feel good read. The story has some “timing” issues, such as how long it actually takes to bake many cake. Also, there were too many long conversations and internal musings for me, that made me skim a few pages as it felt like I was reading a Dear Abby column. Overall, I liked that it was a quick read that took place in a bakery (I like cute stories that take place in bakeries, tea shops, bookshops and the likes). A mouth-watering, cute story that leads you to the prerequisite happily ever after ending.

This is the story of Katie who is still recovering from being dumped 4 weeks before her wedding. She is offered the chance to resurrect an old village cafe in Cornwall. She brings it back up to scratch and plans to run it with an eco friendly and ethical ethos, along with a kindness and community vibe.

Katie and her wacky assistant Talia set up themed events to bring the community together.

This is a typical Rosie Chambers chick lit but almost with a more childlike innocence. Katie's Cornish Kitchen is full of feel good factor and is a nice easy read for the summer or lazy Sunday afternoon.

A nice cosy rainy day read with likeable characters in a beautiful setting. Although it was predictable you still wanted to keep on reading until you found the happy ending. I liked the café setting and it was definitely a heart warming easy to read romance. Great for a bit of escapism.

Nice to read a book where everything does not fall into place straight away and the lead character has a few set backs in getting the business up and running. It is a lovely feel good summer read and would be great for a beach or poolside.

A colourful mix of characters who all bring their own unique traits to the story and add depth. A beautiful setting and whilst a little predictable (in places) that is what we expect from the genre of book and the familiarity makes for a relaxed and cosy read.

Katie's life has gone to pieces she has lost her job, her fiancee and her direction in life.

Through a chance meeting whilst on holiday in Bali Katie finds herself in a small village in Cornwall having three months to run a mothballed cafe and prove it can be a going concern. Initially she is sceptical but the other village residents get involved and that is where the magic happens

This was such a lovely book to read, the villains were just nasty enough for you to dislike them but not as I have seen in some books recently so devoid of empathy and general civility that they appear inhuman. No here you could see their behaviour as a character flaw..

I really hope she writes another book from the village as there are plenty of other characters in the village who's stories are waiting too be told.

I cant recommend this book highly enough.
