I adore reading Christmas romance novels and RaeAnne Thayne’s Christmas at Holiday House is the perfect example of why! Centered around Abby, a widowed mom of a young son who meets Ethan, the handsome (single) brother of a close college friend and sparks fly (whether either of them want to admit it is a different story lol). This novel had incredibly endearing characters that had backstories that pulled at all of my heartstrings. I loved that we also get to read about two supporting characters develop a sweet romance —2 love stories in one book! I really enjoyed reading the journey RaeAnne Thayne took them on. In this crazy world this novel was like chicken soup for the soul! If your looking for a charming novel to get you in the holiday spirit than Christmas at Holiday House is the book for you!

Christmas at Holiday House by RaeAnne Thayne. A delightful book for the holiday season. I would like to take one of the tours of Holiday House in Silver Bells. Enjoyed Abby and Ethan's story and fell in love with little Christopher, what a little sweetie. Winnie had me missing my Nana so much.

Thank you to the publisher, author, and NetGalley for the opportunity to preview the book.

The small town of Silver Bells, Colorado is a perfect location for the Christmas season. The exquisite snow-covered mountain scenery, warm fires in a large historic mansion, seasonal decorations and pure beauty are beautifully described in this duo romance book. Winnie Lancaster, who lives at Holiday House on her own, has been injured from a fall. With a broken wrist and other ailments, help is needed, and not at a rehab facility like grandson Ethan wants. Ethan’s sister Lucy asks her long-time friend, Abby Powell, to assist Winnie, as Lucy is working out of the country for a couple more weeks. As a widow with a five-year-old son, Christopher, Abby agrees to travel from Arizona and spend the season at the Holiday House. Both women’s fiction and contemporary romance, I easily fell into the story, the budding romances, the scenery, the holiday season, and the happiness I felt while reading this generous novel.

Such a great Christmas story. Abby and her 5 year old son travel to Colorado to help a dear friend out. Her Grandmother fell and injured herself and Abby is a nurse. This sets the stage for family, love and community. Abby and Christopher fall in love with Colorado and all their new friends, most of all Ethan, her best friends brother. The beauty of the season is well represented and the story flows well.
The characters are well developed and the conversation flows. I loved it.

A warm, clean holiday romance that touches on some very deep-seated feelings for all the characters in this story! Abby Powell, and her son Christopher, are spending a few short months at Holiday House for a temporary nursing assignment. It’s a simplistic explanation but the story that the author tells is so touching and will grab you right from the start; there’s no way I could do it better.

One of the…causes? Effects? Benefits…is the arrival of the son of her patient, Ethan Lancaster. I liked Ethan, although I found him to be a bit contained about his feelings. It was such fun to see him…grow…and his personality come to life. I especially loved watching him with Christopher. And speaking of Christopher, what a wonderful little boy! He is just adorable and so deserving of his mother’s love. He cracked me up at times, too, but watching him pierce the icy shell that Ethan had erected around his heart, well, it made this holiday story worth it, at least to me.

I hope that at some point we get to know more about Abby and Ethan because although there was an HEA, I’d love to see and read more. Another great holiday story from Ms. Thayne.

This is a wonderful, feel good, holiday story that is true to RaeAnne Thayne’s ability to bring a town and it’s characters to life! We meet Abby, Winnie, Ethan, Jose, Lucy and a townful of 'Belles' in Silver Bells, Colorado! Lucy hires Abby, her best friend to drive up from Arizona to Colorado to help Winnie, Lucy’s 84 year old grandmother, who has fallen and needs someone to help her for a few weeks at her wonderful old Victorian-Era family home while she recovers. Widowed for 2 years, and with a 5 year old son, Abby decides it might just be the place to go to give her son some Thanksgiving and Christmas spirit. Ethan, Lucy’s brother has come to try and convince his grandmother to recover in a ‘facility’. Winnie has other ideas...What happens when everyone comes together is a terrific blend of love, laughter, sorrow, fear, joy, hope and the realization that family is everything.

A nice Christmas novel but it wasn't my favorite book of RaeAnne's. It didn't grab my attention like her other novels.

Abby knows she needs a change, and has decided to pick up her son and move from Arizona where she lived with her late husband, to Texas, where the two of them had planned to move. Then her college roommate calls--her grandmother fell and needs live-in help. Can Abby take the job? So Abby and her son head to Silver Bells Colorado where they spend the holiday season preparing the grandmother's house for a Christmas exhibition and, of course, getting to know the grandmother's son. Abby's friend also finds love, so this book definitely leaves you smiling.

The plot tension in this book is that both Ethan and his sister spent much of their childhood being shuttled between two warring parents and neither feels capable of really loving. Since it's a holiday romance I'll bet you know how it ends. Its a great book for a cool afternoon, as you snuggle in a warm blanket and sip hot chocolate (or Irish Coffee).

I'd like to thank the publisher for making a review copy available via NetGalley. Grade B.

Once again, RaeAnne Thayne has produced a Christmas story both chaste and as comforting as a warm hug.
We are introduced to Abby and her son Christopher on a long car ride to a temporary nursing job in Silver Bells. In due time we meet Winnie, Ethan and Ruby.
Without giving away spoilers, there will be heartache, laughs, secrets, and lots of love. This novel spans from the American Thanksgiving to Christmas. Christmas Eve evening to be precise, leaving me with my one pet peeve. Why could the story not have ended at least the following morning when everyone was opening gifts or shortly after (depending upon their traditions?)
Overall this was a great book, both touching and heartwarming.

I received an ARC of this novel for my honest review of this book.
