I love the stories that Denise Hunter brings us. They are full of romance, but also so much emotion. It was easy to connect with the characters in this story, and this series has been a joy to read.

Due to a personal difference in beliefs (WITH THE PUBLISHER) I will not be reviewing this book outside of Netgalley nor do I plan to support Thomas Nelson in the future due to their decisions of late and the lack of fiction with good Biblical values.

This does not mean I do or do not like the book, it just means I will not be reviewing books for this publisher anymore as I do not care to support them.

Why do I love inn-keeper/bed and breakfast books so much? Not sure, but this is definitely one of them! Everyone needs a small town where they can go to heal or a mysterious stranger that can help them grow!

What a fantastic ending to a wonderful series.
Grace is such a wonderful character. I have enjoyed watching her grow in this series. I love all the siblings they are just wonderful.
Wyatt is so cool, I mean really how could you not love him? Secret service, handsome, can handle himself and just kind.
I really enjoyed all the details in the story...so good!

This is my favorite book in the Bluebell Inn series. It was quite a bit more emotional than the other two, but I loved that and it made it a little less cheesy. Both the hero and heroine had trauma from their past that they had to work through. They didn't realize their stories were connected, but they helped each other work through their past.

Autumn Skies is the third book in Denise Hunter’s Bluebell Inn Romance series. This contemporary romance can stand alone, though the characters from the previous two books make significant appearances. In Autumn Skies, Grace and Wyatt work together to find a location from Wyatt’s past only to discover the past holds more secrets than they realized.

Grace is the youngest Bennett and her siblings want to sell the inn they own. Grace has her own business, so she’s determined to use her shares of the sale to buy her own building and embark as a full fledged small business owner. Wyatt is a Secret Service Agent who is recovering from a gunshot wound and the psychological baggage it unearthed.

I was rooting for the characters from the start, especially with Grace’s sunny disposition. The hiking parts were especially fun to read. I found the story majored more on the physical attraction than I generally care for in a book, but the emotional depth was there, too, which I especially loved. I think that made the ending more satisfying.

If you’re looking for a contemporary romance set in a small town with a fallish setting, try Autumn Skies.

The Bluebell Inn Romance series are the stories of the Bennett siblings. When their parents die in a car accident, they decide to follow through with their parents' dream and open the Inn. Once it was successful, they would sell it and move on with their lives. In the first two books, Molly and Levi have found love, this time if is Grace's turn. Grace plans on remaining in Bluebell, North Carolina to run her newly opened business of outdoor equipment and tours. She meets Wyatt Jennings, a man who has secrets and his own reason for wanting her to take him out in the forested area to camp and hike. Will Wyatt find what he is looking for? Will the Inn sell? Will all work out for the siblings and they follow their dreams?

This is a romance, but it has some serious themes to it. Wyatt is a great character who has a lot of baggage. He is living with survivor's guilt as well as needing to have closure on an event from his childhood. He is a secret service agent, who's job takes first place in his life, so he has no time for a relationship. Grace is an independent young woman who knows what she wants and has plans to get it. She had no intention of getting involved in a relationship, but sometimes the feelings don't listen to the brain. As she and Wyatt begin to get to know each other, they also begin to accept the feelings they have for one another. I love the themes of family, being there for one another and following your dreams even if they changed without you realizing it. There are also themes of grief, survivor's guilt and moving forward in your life. This is a Christian Fiction series and there is talk of faith and prayer, but it is integrated well in the story, and not an overwhelming theme. I have enjoyed all the books in this series and definitely recommend it.

Autumn Skies

by Denise Hunter

Survivor’s guilt is a difficult subject, but it is a theme in Denise Hunter’s Autumn Skies, a touching romance. When Molly finds a buyer for the family business and home, it turns everyone’s world upside down at the Bluebell Inn, but that is nothing compared to the effect of her sister Gracie’s attraction to the mysterious guest, Wyatt. Both have secrets and neither wants to let the other get close.

Gracie and Wyatt are likable characters. Gracie is young, independent, and determined to show her brother and sister that she is an adult. Wyatt, a Secret Service agent, was shot in the line of duty. If he wants to prove he has psychologically recovered from the event, he has to reach back into his past and recover from an even worse childhood trauma. He comes to Bluebell Inn for that sole purpose. I recommend this excellent read. It’s a clean page-turner with some adventure and action. The characters are trying so hard that you will want things to work out for them despite what seems like insurmountable problems.

Rating: 5/5

Category: Romance, Christian

Notes: This is the final book in the Bluebell Inn Novels, a trilogy. It is perfect as a standalone, but you will find yourself wanting to read the other novels in the series.

Publication: October 20, 2020—Thomas Nelson

Memorable Lines:

Molly loved this about her man. While her first thought was worry, his was prayer. He offered a quiet, fervent prayer that hit all the points she was fretting over.

For a man with a poker face, he was wearing regret this morning like a neon suit.

Whereas Grace was like a balmy summer evening, her sister was like a whirlwind. And her brother a sudden storm front.

Another fun story that I really enjoyed. It was a quick read for me, even though it’s a full-length story, because it was easy to read and had a relaxing story line. This whole series would be a perfect vacation companion, especially since it’s set in a historic inn in a vacation town in North Carolina.

Once again there’s a tie to an older event at the inn, but this time it’s within memory and Grace has to work past a traumatic memory to face it. Wyatt is dealing with issues after a Secret Service assignment went wrong, so he’s hoping for a good place to be quiet and work past his issues so he can get cleared to go back to work.

They do get lost in the woods alone together, so it might be better suited to older teens, age-wise.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for a free reading copy. A favorable review was not required.

As always with Hunter's book, I loved this story! I fell in love with the characters and the setting in the first book of this series, so I was very excited to see the conclusion of the series. Grace is such a fun and lively character, and I enjoyed getting to know her better. And Wyatt's backstory was so intriguing and I fell in love with him as well. He and Grace were so sweet together and I was rooting for them from the beginning .All in all, I greatly enjoyed this conclusion to the Bluebell Inn series.

Toe-curling romance at its best! This might be my favorite in the series.
I loved finally getting to read Grace's POV. Her chemistry with Wyatt with strong and believable. A touch of heart and witty banter and this book was perfection!

This whole series. Wow. I love this family and their individual stories, but yet how they all come together to be the best family they can be. I love Denise Hunter so much and her books always keep me super engaged. Thank you so much for choosing me to review your book!

Beautiful and exciting ending to this trilogy. this time, I got to know the love story of little sister Grace. As in previous books, she only caught my attention because she complained about the excess protection Levi gives her and because she does not want to go to college, I was not so anxious to know her story.

Now the family inn is well established and the siblings know that it is time to sell, especially since each one has a different goal in life. Grace wants to live alone and invest in her business.

Wyatt is going through a delicate moment in his life and needs to put everything on track to be able to achieve his longed-for promotion at work.

The beginning of the book and the mysterious way in which the writer presents Wyatt's story and gives glimpses of Grace's trauma as well, made me very curious to know what had happened and how it would all end.

I really like the sweet way Denise Hunter writes and brings couples closer in her books. This one has a stronger and more touching drama and little by little we feel the pain of each character and it was beautiful to follow their journey of healing and acceptance. The final chapters were very tense and touching, made me sigh a lot.

I know this is the last book but I wanted a book for Ethan, Wyatt's best friend.

4/5 stars

Now that Bluebell in is renovated and running well the siblings are finally making the move to sell and go their own way. Grace the youngest is still trying to figure out a location other then where she's currently at since they are selling. Wyatt is on a break from work while he gets his head straight and gets Graces help to look for a certain area from his past so that maybe he can finally get past what's been hard to get over for years.

This was such a sweet read after all the mystery thrillers I've been reading lately. I loved getting to see that attraction between Grace and Wyatt there was the slow simmer between the two but its was clear there was something there and I enjoyed seeing how that romance played out. Grace had a bit of trauma in the past and the family is very much over protective to the point where it get ridiculous but its understandable and I just loved how close knit her family was. Wyatt had some trama himself with his past and he was around bluebell on his break to get some healing and I loved how Grace helped him out with his issues along with him being there for eachother for some tough situations and revelations. Overall this was a pretty good contemporary romance and I really enjoyed myself reading it.

The third and final book of the Bluebell Inn series was phenomenal. I think I say this with each now book from Denise Hunter, but this is my absolute favorite by her.

What a way to end a series. I highly recommend you read the series in order, so you get the most enjoyment possible from Autumn Skies. Here, we find the Bennett siblings ready to see the inn that they've run since their parents passed away. Grace, the youngest of the three, is trying to find her place in the world as her siblings each look to move on to different ventures.

Wyatt, a secret service agent, has returned to his childhood summer home to recover from an injury and prepare for the next step in his career. He is surprised to find it's now an inn, and ends up staying there as he searches for clues and answers from his past. Grace offers to guide him on several hikes, and the past begins to surface for her as well, in an interesting twist of events.

I'm sad to see this series come to an end, but will definitely revisit Bluebell Inn again many times in the future as I re-read the series.

I am thankful to the publisher for allowing me to review this book as a member of Hunter's launch team. This review is my honest opinion.

Autumn Skies has all the emotions. There was drama, mystery, sadness, relief and, of course, love. Wyatt and Grace are each struggling with their pasts and feelings of survivors guilt. They're brought together when Wyatt ends up the Bluebell Inn. Grace offers to try and help him find a specific spot he's looking for in the area. He's hoping he'll get closure and she is hoping that helping others will help her feel like she still has purpose. A hint of attraction doesn't hurt.

I did like the chemistry between Grace and Wyatt. He has a strong, serious nature that can really draw you in. Grace, even with her own flaws, definitely comes across as a strong female leading character. They both help each other face some pretty heavy pains from their pasts. I don't think I saw the twist coming in this story. There were times I definitely tears welling up (but didn't quite cry them out).

This book could be read as a standalone from the rest of the series, but I do think it's enchanced by first reading Lake Season and Carolina Breeze. This book still had a lot of Molly's perspective, which I really liked because her book (Lake Season) was my favorite in the season. Even with her perspective sprinkled in, I don't think it would hinder someone from reading these books out of order or separately.

I received a complimentary copy of this book and I'm leaving an honest and voluntary review.

Autumn Skies was a fantastic romance novel! I have absolutely loved this series and am sad to see it end...although it was a satisfying ending.

The characters were so good! I already knew Grace and her siblings from the previous books, but Wyatt was a new character and he was great. I felt terrible for him and the tragedy that happened fourteen years earlier - I cannot image the horrors of that. It was difficult to read his journey, but I did feel like there was peace in the end.

All in all, I loved Autumn Skies and highly recommend it. I cannot wait for Denise Hunter's next novel.

Autumn Skies by Denise Hunter is an amazing end to Bluebell Inn series. I honestly put off reading this book for a while because I did not want the series to end! Grace and Wyatt are the main characters in this story and they find each other in the midst of very real pain and past trauma. I think the author did a perfect job making the trauma real and consequential without making the reader go through too much trauma while reading. This book really brought all the stories together as the reader is updated on the lives of the characters from the previous two books. This is a most satisfying conclusion to the entire series and I highly recommend them all. I received a digital copy of this book from the publisher with no obligations. These opinions are entirely my own.

Autumn Skies
A Bluebell Inn Romance #3
By Denise Hunter

Autumn Skies is the third book in the Bluebell Inn Romance series and there has been approximately a year since the second book concluded. The Bennett siblings have continued working towards their dreams. Youngest sister Grace has started her business, skipping college to big brother Levi's consternation, and Blue Ridge Outfitters is doing well. Levi is just weeks away from his marriage to Mia, And Molly and Adam have been married for right at a year with Molly working towards her dream of owning and running a bed-and-breakfast in Italy.

The time has come for the Bluebell Inn to be put up for sale and to get the most profit they decide to sell it themselves, foregoing a realtor. But it isn't as easy as they expected. And with her rent-free space about to be lost to her Grace needs to find a new space to keep her dream alive.

In the meantime, they have an inn to run. And when a stranger, walks in, asking about an open-ended stay Grace is about to experience something she never has before. But she doesn't have time for an attraction to a guest. She has a business to run and needs to be proactive so that she has a place to call her own when Molly and Levi leave to continue the lives they put on hold for her.

When Grace starts having issues with an event from her past she is determined to work through it. Unfortunately, she has a panic attack in front of their mysterious guest, Wyatt Jennings. Thanks to his training, Wyatt knows a thing or two about helping people deal with panic attacks, but dealing with his own issues isn't so easy. And he'll need Grace's skills as a mountain/trail guide to find what he is looking for. Can they find the healing they need to forgive themselves?

This book is a good read and can be read on its own though it is better having read the first two books beforehand. This book focuses on Grace the youngest Bennett sibling but in no way ignores Molly or Levi whose stories were the focus of the previous books. It was interesting getting to know them and the town of Bluebell. This is the last book of the series but I can't help hoping that, at some time in the future, we might return for a quick visit to get reacquainted with the rest of the characters one has gotten to know. If you are looking for a contemporary escape that fits the season Autumn Skies is for you.

I was provided a complimentary copy of this book with no expectations but that I provide my honest opinion - all thoughts expressed are my own.
