I loved this . A sweet romantic read that brought back memories of what life was like in the early days of Covid 19.
The feeling of community and friendship shines out from the pages.
Well written and a pleasure to read. I look forward to reading it again in a few years time.

I voluntarily read and reviewed this book, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Very sweet and incredibly charming book about two characters developing a romance in lockdown during the early weeks of the Covid19 pandemic.

This book brought back a ton of memories of life from the beginning of the pandemic, which now almost feels like a lifetime ago. From the clapping for essential workers to the toilet paper shortage, the book serves as a remembrance of a time where society took the virus seriously. The romance is sugary sweet, and would make an adorable Hallmark movie. I found myself rooting for main characters Jack and Sophia, while also tugging on my heart strings with the minor characters as well.

Timely story connected to what our world is going through but I don’t know how well this story will age given where the world is still fighting the pandemic. It is a light story and easy read!

A cute, sweet, and light hearted read. It's nice to read something that touches on what we are going through, but doesn't do so in a heavy sense.

Taken with a little pinch of salt over some iffy timescales, Love in Lockdown is a perfect little feel good story. Whilst you can't particularly 'escape' lockdown during this book, it serves as a nice reminder of all of the good bits about it! A beautifully written story demonstrating how a small community can really pull together through the strangest of times, whilst also telling a love story of two neighbours who have never met in person. Perfect little book to curl up with!

I would like to extend my gratitude to the author, publisher and NetGalley for sending this advanced reader's copy in return for a fair and honest review.

This was a sweet book. There have been countless people writing books during lockdown but most of them have been predictable. This could be predictable but also it highlights the mental health issues that face each and every person in this real pandemic. It deals with the hope of a changing lifestyle and how we interact with one another during this tough time. I loved watching Sophia and Jack fall in love with one another – and how they dealt with running out of toilet paper – which most of us did at some point too. I enjoyed it. It was an easy read.

This book was just so sweet and charming. It was an absolutely sweet and uplifting read. An easy read that will be sure to make you happy.

I liked the way the author used the pandemic issues in this book and the unfortunate aspects of it. For example the mental health issues some have experienced because of it all. She did a great job navigating those topics.

However I did feel like I needed a bit more at the end. I wasn’t fully satisfied with the way it ended.

This was such a sweet story, I absolutely loved it! I think it would be a great book to reread in a few years when lockdown is more of a distant memory. It really captures the unique situation - down to the toilet paper shortage! I really enjoyed the side story of Bertie and was so pleased that he found companionship in the end.

This is a fun read about neighbors who are in lockdown. They start to communicate with each other and things go from there.

A cute chick lit book. Predictable yet romantic and uplifting. The struggles outlined in this book due to the pandemic were a touch of reality and so fitting given our current situation - some countries tightening lockdowns and some countries easing restrictions. It is a hopeful and uplifting read. Honestly I love romance novels. How can you not. Although predictable, it will bring a smile to your face.

This was super cute! A little too soon for books like this IMO but I still loved the love story. The characters were well fleshed out and I enjoyed it

My thanks to the Publishers via NetGalley for the opportunity to read this story in exchange for an honest review. I gave this a 4 stars or 8/10.

This is one of many books that will have been written surrounding our current situation and how we are living during the lockdowns due to Covid in 2020 and 2021. This will probably end up becoming a genre all of it's own.

Telling the story of the developing romance between Sophia and Jack, two neighbours who have never met and due to the lockdown situation have no chance of meeting for some time. They both have their own reasons for living life the way they are doing due to the restrictions enforced on us all.

A chance meeting one night on their balconies leads to more and they both begin to look forward to their occasional meetings, often sharing things by their own unique way without actually coming into contact with one another. As with most developing relationships their relationship is no different than anyone else's, in so much as they manage to have their up and downs along the way. The path of true love doesn't often run smooth and it must be even harder when the couple have never even met!

I enjoyed this story and found it quite a believable take on romance during lockdown. This was a well written story and I will look forward to reading more by this author in due course.

I was totally attracted to this book because of the concept (and the title). Lockdown was (and still is, as I’m writing this) a universal thing that everyone in the whole world had had to experience at some point in 2020 (and 2021).

So I adored the love story concept. Unfortunately though, the execution was too linear for my liking. I struggled to get through the book, most likely through no fault of the book itself, but more to do with my own taste. It was too sickly sweet in some places - everyone in the book was reacting similarly to the lockdown, everyone was struggling and craving outdoor world; would’ve been nice to have some introverted characters who didn’t struggle with the lockdown and helped everyone through it, perhaps?

Also, I was really bothered by the scenes of passing the basket back and forth - this kind of indirect exposure could still transmit virus, as it could stay on a hard surface for many hours/days. So I couldn’t help but cringeing at the supposedly romantic scenes.

At the end of the day, it was a sweet, cosy chick-lit. I did appreciate that the main characters had to face with health issue acceptances; this was a unique factor not available in many books.

I *thoroughly* enjoyed this book and what it brought from the times we're living in. The whole cast of characters were a delight and truly came through time and again.

I was quite skeptical of this story from the start... who wants to read something about covid-19? Well, this turned out to be a diabetically sweet romance that will make you either cringe with disgust for how cute it is or totally adore it. Sweeter than sweet, this story portrays the best of people during some of the worst of times. Super cute. Pick it up and enjoy.

This book is a of two singles living in the UK during the COVID pandemic. Jack and Sophia live in the same apartment building but have never met. Until they start talking on their balconies to each other. I really enjoyed getting both jack and sophias point of views. They got to know each other as well as their other neighbours. So of course a romance starts and it was so sweet. Like the sweetest frosting on a cupcake, that hurts your teeth sweet! Which in my opinion is a good thing. I really enjoyed this and will definitely check out more from this author.

I struggled with this book. It was a cute story, but the depths of quarantine were still very hard to read. I think I would appreciate this more after there's a bit more in the rearview mirror to the tough first days of COVID.
