Really good book gad ne hooked from the start. Having been to this part of Scotland made it all the more interesting. One of those where I didn't guess the " bad guy" which is always a good thing

This is the second in a series of an Aberdeen crime book series
The pace is fast and the plot is interesting. The characters are great.
It’s a book full of twists and turns.

Sadly this book just was not for me. This sat on my kindle for quite some time - twice I have attempted to read and twice I did not finish.

Thankyou for the opportunity but I will not be providing feedback on any commercial sites for this book.

A good police procedural and Eve is an interesting character. I didn't connect to her very well though, which may have been because this is actually the second in the series and I didn't have the backstory from the first.

This is the second book in the DI Eve Hunter series and the first I have read. I did enjoy it, and I would probably read another in the series.

I may even go back to the start and see if I can connect to Eve better...!

The novel beings with a teenage girl is found hanging in the woods, and a privileged young man found dead in his apartment.

It is clear from the start the Eve is an interesting and perhaps complex character who is at times a little difficult to connect with. But I think that is partly deliberate.

This is the second book in the DI Eve Hunter series and the first I've read. It started off promisingly and I liked the dual investigations into the murders of a teenage girl found hanging in the woods and a privileged young man found dead in his apartment. Eve Hunter is an interesting character, but I never felt connected to her or her team. I was looking forward to the Aberdeen setting but I didn't feel that the author brought the city to life. This is a very readable police procedural novel but for me lacked pace and tension.
Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read and review this digital ARC.

Great book. Really enjoyed reading this. Could not help but get drawn in to the pages. Fantastic book from this author

An absolutely fantastic addition to this detective series. Another fascinating case with plenty of questions coming thick and fast.

The story flows well and is easy to follow without getting too confused in the who dunnit part.

My only criticism is that the end seems almost rushed. The entire book was wrapped up in three pages really and I felt it could have been more dramatic and tied up more lose ends than it did.

I would still recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good crime novel but you must read them in order to understand

I really enjoyed this thriller! The plot was fast paced & the characters were well written. I’d consider reading more books from this author!

DI Hunter and her team are investigating the suspicious death of Dean Johnstone, an IT consultant from a privileged background. As well as this, they are called to the local golf club about the possible suicide of a young girl. Soon enough the two cases become linked…

This is the second book in the DI Eve Hunter series and I really enjoyed it. I’m partial to a crime novel set in Aberdeen, after living there whilst at uni. I can really imagine places in the book and love the grittiness these type of books offer.

This was a real fast paced book and I loved how the plot played out. Whilst parts of the ending seemed a bit far fetched, it made for great reading and a brilliant twist at the end. I’m hoping Deborah Masson has book no.3 up her sleeve as she has become an auto-buy author for me now!

The second DI Hunter book and equally as good as the first. The characters are likeable and realistic, the storyline was excellent and kept me turning the pages. I read this in one evening.

This is an excellent series, one of the best new fictional teams there’s been for a while and I can’t wait for more.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for the ARC in return for an honest and unbiased opinion.

Having previously loves the first book. I was ao exited for this book, however, I ended up getting a bit confused. There was a few too many characters for me keep up with unfortunately.

It was enjoyable but too many characters

A fast paced thriller which I read in one sitting. It had me hooked from the first page. I really enjoyed the twists and turns of the storyline.

Many thanks to netgalley and Deborah Masson for the advanced copy of this book. I agreed to give my unbiased opinion voluntarily.

The second in the DI Eve Hunter series set in the gritty oil city of Aberdeen. This time, the detective and her team are investigating two very different murders and a nasty human trafficking ring. A competent crime procedural.

I haven’t read the first book in this series, but other than being intrigued as to what I’ve missed, it wasn’t an issue.
A really good read, fast paced with plant of twists and turns. I’ll definitely go back and read the first one.

#OutForBlood #NetGalley This is the second book in this series and every bit as brilliant as the first. Perfectly capable of being read as a standalone but it added to the enjoyment knowing a little bit about the background of the main character. Plenty of action and twists and turns kept me turning the pages well into the night! I like the character of Eve as she searches for justice in her own inimitable way whilst at the same time she has a vulnerable side to her personal life. I also enjoyed the fact that her team seemed to gel more in this book than the first as we see their characters develop. Cant wait for the next installment in this series. A brilliant 5 star read.
