I’m sure Irene Hannon had no clue when she was writing this that the political climate would be what it is today. It was a good read. Storyline kept you guessing. I enjoyed the relationship between the sisters and of course Eve and Brent.

I’ve read several of Irene Hannon’s series and enjoyed them. This first book in her new series (A Triple Threat) is no exception. The feel of this new series is slightly different from what I expected. Eve Reilly is a talk-show host who receives an ominous threat. Enter the police detective who believes the threat is more serious than she is taking it and is determined to solve the crime and protect Eve with whom he feels an attraction. It has a nice combination of romance and suspense. The tension is nicely paced and keeps you intrigued through the story. The romance seemed a little rushed, but I enjoyed the overall message behind it. I plan on reading the next book in the series.
Thank you to Net Galley and Revell for the ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

Eve Grant is a chance controversial radio talk show host who is being stalked. A fake bomb is left on her porch, her tires are slashed, and her family is threatened. Brett Lange is the detective assigned to her case that falls for her, but is battling his own demons. I enjoyed the book very much. Decent read. I did have a couple of issues preventing me from giving 5 stars. 1. I think I got an unedited ARC. The change of scenes all ran together with no break in the page. 2. Identity of stalker and accomplice resolved but I did not get the WHY in great detail. All in all a decent thriller with unanswered questions.

2 stars
What an utter disappointment. The ending is virtually non-existent and the epilogue is ridiculous.
I loved 99% of this book. I was riveted to the book from page one and barely put it down. Everything else was so good, why was the ending such a complete mess? The ending was so rushed and the epilogue which usually answers open-ended questions did not do so. This book would have been a 5-star book and vastly improved with another chapter or two.
I want more info on Olivia. Hannon drops this huge bombshell about Olivia and barely scratches the surface on it. I want more info on Meg and Steve. Did she truly get away from him or did she need a restraining order like his exes? Again, an open-ended plotline. What about the woman who was gunning for Eve’s job and her boss? The plotline was left open as well, The romance section was completely absurd. Brent just suddenly changed his mind?
Ugh, 2 stars at best. Irene Hannon is usually so good. I just do not understand what happened here.

Point of Danger will keep you turning pages to see what happens to talk radio show host, Eve Reilly, who receives a suspicious package on her doorstep as well as threats for her conservative stance! Eve is an excellent female protagonist as she is determined to not be intimidated or to hide. Detective Brent Lange is the leading male character and is determined to find out what is going on but he also wants to keep Eve safe which is a difficult job! This story is very up to date with current events in America! I found it interesting that the book is set in St. Louis. Point of Danger includes threats, slashed tires, interesting neighbors, home remodeling, romance and danger. You won't want to miss this book by Irene Hannon. I received a complimentary advance e-book through NetGalley. This is my honest opinion.

I enjoyed parts of this book. Some of it was too patriotic/nationalistic/political for me, and some of it made me roll my eyes, but overall, I liked it. I liked the beginning much more than from the halfway mark to the end.

Eve Reilly is a likable character, though the way she shares her opinions and beliefs comes across as flaunting at times. I found her inner dialog obnoxious and a little over the top at times. I wouldn't say she was asking for the trouble that came her way, but she was a very polarizing personality.

I really liked the character of Brent, though his back story was a little confusing. He swore off love completely because of an experience with his former girlfriend. I found all of that a bit convoluted, and it seemed exaggerated in order to make tension between him and Eve.

The side stories with Dan & Al, Doug & Carolyn, Steve & Meg...I was saddened by a few of them, and the other felt a little too evasive to be suspenseful. I didn't really think there was a lot of suspense in this book, though the author tried to throw blame for the bomb threat in many different directions. That did have me thinking.

One of the things that bugged me was when the sisters were together, one of them quoted White Christmas, but they didn't write the quote correctly in the book. They quoted "Likewise, I'm sure." but the actual quote is "Mutual, I'm sure." which is what makes it so funny- because it makes no sense. Someone should've double checked that.

I don't think I would read another book in this series. It wasn't compelling enough to ensure that.

Point of Danger by Irene Hannon was a great balance of mystery and romance. I remember thinking 20 pages into the story that she was telling us who the villain was.... I should have known better :)
I enjoyed this book and didn’t take exception to Eve's occupation as a talk radio personality or her strong views/opinions.

I enjoyed how Shannon developed the relationship between Eve and Brent. I really liked Brent’s character. He was adorable when he would try to convince himself of reasons to see her.

Admittedly there were a lot of characters in the book but I enjoyed it and was not confused. It gave us a lot of options as to what was going on and who was involved and why.

Point of Danger was a very nice Christian romance novel. Eve Reilly is a popular radio personality whose controversial political show has made her the target of a recent bomb threat and other forms of harassment. The investigator in charge of her case is immediately attracted to Eve, but of course is too professional to make a move.

This book has everything you would expect from this type of novel. While the plot is almost formulaic, it was comforting to read a book that I was sure would have a good ending.

I was uncomfortable with how political the book became and it was even a little preachy at times, but it was to be expected. In spite of this, the love story was very sweet and very well written. I enjoyed the book in spite of the conservatism and cheesiness!

Settling my heart down from racing after reading Irene Hannon's newest title, "Point of Danger". Boy! I should know better than to read suspense before bed. I loved the story between the sisters and wanted some of the secondary characters to finish out their stories, which I hope we will see in future books. I felt like there were a couple of loose ends with them, so hopefully. It did reference some somewhat of the groups linked to hot topics like abortion, gun rights, etc, which could cause some discussion after reading it. I know it had my wheels churning.

Riveting suspense focused around controversial issues, Hannon delivers a heart-pounding novel that had me on the edge of my seat.

”She was the real deal—strong, intelligent, principled, courageous, caring . . . not to mention beautiful.”

I was excited to read this new series focused on three sisters in Hannon’s Triple Threat series. “Point of Danger” is the first book and centers around Eve, who is a controversially conservative talk show host. Getting to know her and her sisters made for a promising start to this series. Eve is a strong female role model with strong opinions that get her into trouble. She doesn’t back down and holds true to her beliefs.

The question is who is after her and will she survive the onslaught of rage coming at her. Hannon takes us into the life of a conservative talk show host who is hitting too many topics people don’t agree with. It is very on topic with current events. Instead of focusing on one person’s rage, she takes the role of numerous keeping you on the tip of your toes in this chilling romantic suspense. Seeing the different views surrounding heightened political issues of our time period was intriguing. There were points I had to put the book down as the suspense was so heightened.

There are many controversies dealt with, that either the readers will love or hate. For political intrigue from a conservative point of view, this was a good read. However, I’m not sure everyone would love it, because of that. I felt conflicted at times, but loved the intrigue. There are heavier adult topics, but it gives the reality of controlling behaviors and made for a suspenseful and thrilling read. Trying to guess who was after her felt like I was on a roller coaster. I’m looking forward to the rest of the series and getting to know Eve’s sisters.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

I have read every book ever written by Irene Hannon and loved every one. She writes with a masterful blend of suspense, mystery, and romance and I just can't stop reading! This is her new series called Triple Threat.

This book was slightly different in that, the author used very relevant and controversial topics. The main character, Eve, hosts a radio show in which she defends conservative values. She is very honest about her opposition to abortion and proudly raises her voice for the unborn. This draws negative attention from callers, but someone is taking her show very personal and is striking out against her.
The other controversial topic is Antifa. The author writes characters into the story who belong the group and are planning riots and even murder.

For these reason, Point of Danger feels very current and relevant to today's struggles. Eve also has a love interest, Brent, who is working hard to protect her from the person who is attacking her.

Overall, the book is full of the drama and suspense we, the readers have come to expect from Irene Hannon. I look forward to the next book.

This is a page-turner about a Christian radio personality, Eve Reilly, whose strong opinions has caused someone to leave a suspicious box on her front porch with a note “Be Silent…or be Silenced”. A fast-moving story introducing Detective Brent Lange who tries to keep Eve alive while tracking down who is responsible for stalking Eve. A timely read for anyone watching today’s news! This is a 5-star read!!!

Point of Danger by Irene Hannon is a really good suspense novel. Ms. Hannon’s book incorporates one of the many political organizations that are wreaking havoc on our country at this time.

Eve Reilly is a conservative radio commentator who is being harassed and threatened by an unknown person or persons. On the first page of the novel, we find Eve calling the authorities because she suspects a bomb has been delivered to her front porch. The lead detective on the case Brent Lange finds that Eve is very special to him, and goes overboard to protect and defend her.

This book is a page-turner and I finished reading it in record time. I highly recommend this and all of Ms. Hannon’s books, as I have read quite a number of them and they are all wonderfully written.

This is book one in the Triple Threat series, what a great place to start. This book is full of suspense, mystery and more. I look forward to reading more in this series.
Eve Reilly is a compassionate, stubborn, honest talk show host. When danger comes to her door she must rely on the handsome detective Brent Lange.
I enjoyed meeting Eve's sisters and hope to hear more from them. My only negative in this book (and it may only be in the ebook version) was the characters and points of view change without separation or nation of doing that, so at times it took me a little while to figure out who was talking and what was going on. Again the printed version may be different. However, that did not keep me from enjoying this book. I received this book for my honest opinion.

This novel centers on relationships rather than mystery or suspense. The major aspect of the plot is woven around Eve, the conservative radio personality and Brent, the detective assigned to her case when she receives threats. Much of the novel involves their thinking and dialogue regarding a potential romance. Also involved in the plot are issues within two troubled marriages. There is very little suspense with only one scene near the end. Hannon may have tried some psychological suspense for Eve with the threats but Eve seemed to be too confident of a woman to let them bother her.

With the emphasis on the relationships, the mystery seemed to be a minor aspect of the novel and rather weak. I never really understood the threats to Eve. The source and the reasons behind those threats just did not make sense to me. And the ultimate villain did not make sense to me either.

Eve is a Christian conservative who freely and boldly declares her viewpoints on her radio talk show. The threats to her life seem to emphasize the current political divide. Rather than an entertaining and engaging plot, I almost felt like Hannon was making a statement with her novel.

This is a novel for readers who like an emphasis on relationship issues more than mystery or suspense. I have read nearly all of Hannon's suspense novels and this one seems to be a deviation from her usual top notch effort.

I received a complimentary egalley of this book from the publisher. My comments are an independent and honest review.

This book was just okay for me.

I've read several books by this author and for the most part I enjoy them very much.

Eve Reilly is a conservative talk show host and has a strong following. One night when she receives a suspicious package left on her front door law enforcement is called in. Eve is used to hearing backlash from people that don't agree with her politics but this has gone beyond that.

Enter Police Detective Brent Lange. As he investigates he is baffled by the lack of evidence he can find to bring a close to the case. After more incidents happen Brent knows they are connected but can't find the link to pull it all together.

While the manhunt goes on Brent and Eve become quite attracted to each other and find themselves in a relationship that neither was looking for.

I liked this book well enough but I thought Eve was a bit pretentious and annoyed me at times. I felt Brent was somewhat underdeveloped as a character. It won't stop me from reading more by this author but maybe not this series.

Thanks to #NetGalley for a copy of this book.

Felt pretty light on the suspense for Irene Hannon! I struggled to get into the story and characters as much as I usually do with her books. Everything just felt a little shallow. The ending was very climactic, I just wish it wasn't so short lived! It was a little disappointing in that regard. Overall though, it was a pretty good read, especially if you like a hefty dose of romance with your suspense.

FTC Disclosure: I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher for promotional purposes. I was not required to write a positive review. These are my honest thoughts and opinions.

A engaging, action-packed, suspense, with a fantastic plot, and characters that you can cheer for the whole way through.

Conservative talk show personality Eve Reilly has always been cautious, her job making her a target because of her unpopular opinions. But when a ticking box shows up on her doorstep, she knows that it's more than an innocent prank as the incidents escalate.

Eve is an intelligent and accomplished woman, I admired her willingness to speak out on controversial issues, and her common sense approach to life. Eve is a believer, and I loved her strong relationship with her sisters, as well as her do-it-herself smarts.

Newly promoted detective Brent Lange is intrigued by Eve, and is determined to connect the incidents and find the person behind the threats. He has struggled with relationships in the past, but I loved how supportive his best friend is, and I liked the interaction between him and Eve. He is an honorable man with a strong sense of duty.

Overall, a fantastic read from beginning to end, with strong protagonists, and an engaging plot that kept me on my toes. I loved Eve, she is exactly the kind of heroine that I can't help but cheer for, I admired her courage and level headed approach to things, as well as how she helps Brent deal with his past and envision a different kind of future than he'd been selling to himself. This was a quick read, because I didn't want to put it down, another stellar novel from Irene Hannon. Highly recommend!

Point of Danger puts emphasis on the danger parts. The story revolves around Eve Reilly, an edgy ultra-conservative talk show host with viewpoints that put her in hot water with her critics. Several people want to see her silenced, and she receives multiple threats. As the threats escalate, police detective Brent Lange gets involved, professionally and personally with Eve.

I love the plot twists in this book! Lots of red herrings made me think just about anyone could have been the culprit. There’s lots of danger and action in this story, but there is quite a focus on the budding romance between Eve and Brent. Brent’s shell-shocked from prior relationships and has no idea how to be in one. Eve’s just an overall great character as a female lead that knows what she wants and doesn’t apologize to anyone for her beliefs. The ending had some shocking twists, but I gave this 4 stars because I felt like a few of the “red herrings” kind of faded into the night – I didn’t understand how they were connected to the story in the end. But all of the false leads and motives these characters had for wanting to stop Eve’s show really added to the story line.

Definitely check out Point of Danger. It’s an action-packed drama that will have you hooked, trying to piece together clues until the very end. I’m looking forward to the others in the series.

Overall Rating:
4 stars (I liked it a lot and would definitely recommend)

Suspense Rating:
4 stars (lots of action and suspense to keep me intrigued)

Point of Danger kept me up late, in a good way. From the first page, Hannon grabbed my attention and kept it as the stakes kept raising with each plot twist.

Fans of strong female characters will love Eve and her tenacity. Brent is a great male lead who wants to protect Eve but understands she’s strong and independent. I love how Hannon allowed the romance to progress without pushing it. She did a great job of showing how great they are together, making me root for them.

Throughout the novel, Hannon manages to entertain with a gripping suspense while addressing issues Christians face today in our society and in our relationships. I closed the book thinking about many of the things she addressed. To me, that’s always a good sign.

Overall, Point of Danger is a captivating romantic suspense I highly recommend.
