It was an ok book but got ruined by all the confusing worldbuilding and magic system. I know there are things like Nefari , gollum and Van Gogh but I barely know what their powers are or why they existed.

The author is going for a snarky heroine but she only comes across as annoying. Even the mystery wasn't that interesting. I do am interested in how Ashira and Levi's romance develop but I wouldn't want to read the next book

Wow. This really does read like a biography. Who would have thought that someone could write about God in a matter-of-fact way without sounding preachy (not that I would have minded). The section on Holiness was the best reminder of why He is to be worshipped on His terms that I have read (outside the Bible). If you can't persuade someone to read the Bible first is suggest this book. I've not finished it yet (been skipping around topics) but I'm very pleased so far.

I have been a fan of Skip Heitzig on YouTube for years and when I saw this book available for review, I leapt at the chance.

I have no doubt that this book will speak to Christians who question, sinners not yet saved and anyone in between who picks it up. In fact, I think it has a message for everyone.

God is! He just is! And that is what was spoken to me?

But what will this book say to you?

Read it and see!
