Non - stop suspense and over load of feelings as Mason McCarthy goes head on into danger while warring with his about Alexandra Merriwether.
Alex works with Deep Six Salvage but ends up in things she never thought about. She loves all the guys she works with but Mason is something entirely different.
Must read Julie Ann Walker rocks this book!

I enjoyed this read. It is well written and grabbed and held my interest with a thrilling combination of action, emotion, adventure, drama, danger and suspense. I liked Mason and Alex well enough, felt they had good chemistry and thought they would make a great pairing. All that being said, I also had some big pet peeves with their attitudes and actions that detracted from my full enjoyment of their romance. Still, taken as a whole, I found it to be a very good edge of your seat book with a romance that was not my favorite but still entertaining.

This is the third book in this series (although there is a prequel) and I have read all three. This is a spin-off from Black Knights Inc, but it is distinctly different. The series centers around a bunch of former SEALs looking for a sunken ship (Santa Cristina). However, this story does not deal with the search very much. There are a few scenes about the ship, but it is mostly about the mystery surrounding things that happened years ago and things that happened in the previous book.

Mason thinks he's not good enough for a lifetime of marriage and kids. His ex-wife basically brainwashed him into believing he is not normal. But what is normal? I mean, he served in the military and did things none of us have ever had to think about. So how can we judge him normal or not? He kept us safe and allowed us to live our lives while being shot at, attacked and away from home and family. I really dislike his ex-wife.

Alex is a bookworm. She either reads about things in books or searches the internet for clues, information, instruction. She is perky, inquisitive and funny. Oh yeah, and annoying to Mason. But is she strong enough to handle him? When the bullets start to fly, we will see what she is made of and see if Mason is willing to give her a shot at a relationship. As they work to uncover who is after Mason, will they be able to figure out what they want or walk away for good?

Ride the Tide is the third book in the Deep Six series. It is another great addition to the series. I was captivated by this wonderful story from the beginning and it kept me riveted until the end. Ride the Tide is a suspenseful read with wonderful characters. It has a great storyline but it is the characters that pull you in and keep you pulling for them until the end. I can't wait to read what this talented author writes next and I would definitely recommend this book and this series.

A hot Navy Seal anyone?
It’s been a long time since I’ve read one of the author’s books but I picked this one up at the right time because I enjoyed it immensely and I really recommend it for anyone who is looking for a fresh and fast-paced action romantic suspense novel.
Suspenseful moments full of unpredictable twists and turns, great characters and a romance story that was fun to see building up, especially the banter and chemistry between Mason and Alex.
The side characters are adding a lot to this story and I enjoyed the friendship and trust they have in each other.

Walker created memorable characters that keep you invested from page one. Alex and Mason are opposites attract, virgin heroine, treasure hunt, former Navy SEAL tropey goodness. I highly recommend this novel.

Julie Ann Walker’s latest story about her crew of retired military becoming salvage divers was fast paced, romantic, and fun to read. Mason and Alex were a great couple because I really like when one in the couple (Mason) fight so hard against being that couple. Alex was smart, interesting, and a hoot! She knew she had the hots for Mason and chasing him was so much fun. But, this story was not just about the romance. What I love about these books is the action, and the suspense. The action this time was more than just about the treasures of the deep being searched for, but what happened when Mason was a Navy Seal. These books have been very entertaining and I am waiting to see what happens with Wolf and Chrissy. Hope that is the next book! Really enjoyable read.

RIDE THE TIDE is the third full-length instalment in Julie Ann Walker’s contemporary, adult DEEP SIX romantic, suspense series focusing on a group of former Navy SEALs who currently own and operate a civilian marine salvage business. The DEEP SIX series is a spinoff from Julie Ann’s BLACK KNIGHTS INC series. This is thirty-five year old, former Navy SEAL Mason McCarthy, and twenty-seven year old, historian Alexandra ‘Alex’ Merriweather’s story line. Alexandra was first introduced in HELL OR HIGH WATER. RIDE THE TIDE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary. There is an introductory novella HOT AS H*LL that can be found in the May 2015 multi-authored anthology-WAY OF THE WARRIOR.

NOTE: The DEEP SIX series follows six former military or special ops agents who, upon retirement, set up their own business running secret missions behind the scenes. Searching for the wreck of the Santa Cristina near Wayfarer Island, the Deep Six team continues to encounter terrorists and pirates on their hunt for sunken treasure.

Told from several third person perspectives RIDE THE TIDE follows the Deep Six crew on their continued search for the Spanish galleon, the Santa Cristina, believed to have sunk in 1624 near Wayfarer Island in Florida Keys, but on this particular mission, the crew, along with feisty and talkative historian Alexandra Merriweather would find themselves, having been chased down and shot while searching at sea, the target of another unknown assailant. Rescued by the Coast Guard, leaving three dead men in their wake, Mason, Alexandra, Romeo, Wolf, Chrissy, Doc and Uncle John would find no more security on land when, once again, their whereabouts and safety leaves much to be desired.

As the story line progresses, we are up close and personal with the yin and yang of the relationship between Ray ‘Wolf’ Roanhorse and dive shop owner Christina ‘Chrissy’ Szareck. The sexual tension is palpable but Chrissy refuses to give in to temptation, at least, for now.

Meanwhile, Alexandra Merriweather is focusing on our hero Mason McCarthy, a focus that reveals Alex’s attraction to Mason does not go unnoticed but Mason refuses to accept that he is worthy of love or a permanent relationship. Having loved and lost in the past, Mason struggles with his perception of Alex’s version of a happily ever after but it will be Mason who is unable to forget about the feisty woman who calls to his heart. Mason offers Alexandra one night together but the heart wants something more than he is willing to give. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

We are reintroduced to several members of Deep Six Salvage, most of whom are former military or Navy SEALs: Ray ‘Wolf’ Roanhorse, Spiro ‘Romeo’ Delgado, dive shop owner Christina ‘Chrissy’ Szareck, Uncle John Anderson (a cross between a ‘crusty sea dog and slack –ass hippie), and Deep Six Salvage co-owner Doc. The requisite evil has many faces.

RIDE THE TIDE is a story of betrayal, vengeance and retribution; relationships and love. The premise is intriguing and captivating; the romance is provocative and tender; the characters are edgy, dynamic and flirty.

Former Navy SEAL, Mason McCarthy is working with his crew in the Keys to find and, bring up the famous Santa Cristina. Things are going well when Mason has to start dealing with Historian Alexandra Merriweather, a striking, brilliant woman who, he's convinced is trying to drive him crazy.
Suddenly, someone from Mason's past is out to murder him, his crew and, Alex.
It's time for the guys to get back into the game and, cut this terror out of their lives.
This is a fascinating, spellbinding roller coaster ride of a story and, I thoroughly enjoyed it!!!

Mason is on the hunt but he has help I do not think he figured on. Being a historian though makes Alex very knowledgeable but he also finds her aiding in his mind wondering. As this goes back and forth we find something else comes their way, something not quite so nice and very dangerous. Thank goodness for his experience because than Mason can hopefully keep them alive. This has eveything you need in getting away for a bit to get buried deep into heat and adrenaline.

This is book 3 in the Deep Six series and I would absolutely read the previous books before reading this one. There are events in those books that are talked about in this book as well as introducing us to the characters in this book. In this one we get Mason McCarthy and Alexandra Merriweather. Mason is done with fighting and just wants to work with his crew to find the Santa Cristina. Alex is the historian he and his partners have asked to help them to locate the treasure. But Alex is a distraction that Mason doesn't believe he needs let alone deserves. Even if he does want her. But when someone from Mason's past comes back to haunt him, not only does he have to go back to being a fighting man but he has to keep Alex safe. Even if he believes that means from himself.

I thoroughly enjoyed this one! Mason is definitely the tortured hero that all of us fall in love with. He has issues not only with the things he had to do when he was a SEAL but also with things that happened with his ex. And they definitely left their scars on him. Alex is this woman who isn't afraid to say what she means, even when it comes back to bite her. But she has a heart of gold and is more than willing to help the people she cares about. I loved the interactions between not only the main characters but with the secondary characters as well. This one definitely reminded me of why I liked this series so much!

Fast paced, action packed, and steamy romance all rolled in to one novel. Great character interaction and tons of laugh out loud moments!

Thank you to Entangled Publishing and NetGalley for the advanced reading copy. My review is solely based on my opinion of the book.

This story was nonstop action and I loved it!! The characters and the situations really jump off the pages and resonate in the reader. Mason is a bada$$ SEAL that doesn’t see himself in the best light. He suffers from PTSD and thinks he only is a trained killer and not fit for love. Alex wants Mason but he keeps pushing her away to protect her from himself. They complemented each other very well. Where Alex is talkative, intelligent and sweet Mason is grumpy, stubborn and a lot less talkative. When enemies from Mason’s past come back to threaten him and all he holds dear will he be able to protect Alex?

Mason McCarthy a former deal wh
Alexis Merriwheather wants Mason but he keeps pushing her away.

It was also hardose been burned by love. not to turn to Mason and stick out her tongue. Nanner, nanner! See? He thinks I’m pretty. Maybe I should have propositioned him!

“For your information, when you tell someone you need to talk to them, that usually requires you to open your mouth and form actual words. I know that’s sort of akin to getting blood from a stone with you, but still…spit it out.

I fell in love with this author and her Black Knights Inc books. It’s been a while and I forgot how much I love her quirky character interaction. Always non stop action.
I love Doc he was my favorite but this is not my favorite book by this author. It was ok. I debated hard on what rating to give it.

Since reading the Black Knight series by this author, she is on my auto-buy list so when I saw she had started a new series, I knew it was going to be good and I was so right. This is the 3rd book in the series and it was just as hot as the first two. This book was beyond fantastic. So far, it's my favorite in the series and seriously cannot wait for the next book.

Thrilling, action-packed story! It was entertaining fun, filled with drama, a whole lot of heart, and passion. Hands down my favorite in the series!

I was on the edge of my seat the entire time! The chemistry between Mason and Alex was incredible. I loved Alex's offer to Mason and how he was trying to deny his feelings and all the sexual tension it creates. Alex is sweet and quirky and I liked how she puts herself out there, she was a force to be reckoned with. Mason’s quiet and a bit gruff, and has some demons he's dealing with and I loved learning his history about why he was holding back. He's such a good guy, so protective and strong and I loved seeing those walls come down as he opened up. I loved those vulnerable moments between them. I also loved the playfulness and their back and forth banter, there was some seriously great verbal sparring happening. I was filled with so much anticipation waiting for them to get together. It was all fantastic!

I really enjoyed how there were different guys from the Deep Six team to focus on, I loved their personalities and what they each bring to the table. They have such great camaraderie. I loved their bonds and the bonds they've formed with Alex. I also loved the building story between Wolf and Chrissy and am looking forward to their story.

The suspense and drama playing out was fascinating. I loved the guys and their toughness but I loved the girls getting in on the act too. There are a few different POVs in play and I liked the different perspectives. I thought there was an excellent flow and good pace. Great details and the build. I also loved how the search for the Santa Christina is set up with the prologue and epilogue. I'm really excited for the Deep Six group and what's next for them.

I am loving the Deep Six series. It's fast-paced and exciting with these awesome characters. I loved the heat, drama, and adventure! It was a fun, exhilarating page-turner!

Alex Merriweather loves her job helping the guys of Deep Six Salvage search for the Spanish galleon the Santa Christina. Living on Wayfair Island with them is like living with six older brothers. Except for Mason McCarthy. What Alex feels for Mason is far from sisterly affection.

When Mason left the SEALs he thought joining his team in Deep Six Salvage would help him adjust. But he can't seem to leave the past behind. And as much as he wants Alex he knows his demons are too strong. He's not what a wonan like Alex needs. When enemies from their past come seeking vengeance, Mason is the only thing standing between them and Alex. And Mason begins to realize maybe he's just what she needs.

While I was sorry to see the Black Knights Inc series came to an end, I was thrilled to meet the men of Deep Six Salvage and discover they were just as much fun to hang out with. Mason and Alex's story is a roller coaster ride of action and emotion. I hated that it had to end. It's going straight to my keeper shelf so I can experience it again and again..

Lots of action in this book! Mason and Alex have a lot of chemistry. The book caught me from page one and I didn't want to put it down. I've not read any of the other stories in the series, but had no problem picking up this one and enjoying it wholeheartedly. I loved Alex as a character. I can only wish that more people would be as direct as she is in asking for what she wants and saying things truthfully. Mason is a wounded soul and I loved seeing him finally heal from his past. The camaraderie among the characters is fun and builds a sense of family. I will definitely look for more books in this series and by this author. I really enjoyed it from start to finish! I received an advance copy from NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving a review.

RIDE THE TIDE is fast-paced, filled with believable conversations, good advice, danger, intrigue, and a slightly wonky romance that ends up working out.
