WOLF UNTAMED is a gripping read with a bit of weird sci-fi added in that only author Paige Tyler can bring to such astounding life.

Aside from a sweet/steamy romance and the typical teenage angst, add in an ex-husband who is a whack job, average everyday people suddenly going crazy and committing crimes they don't remember doing, a team of werewolves who can face any danger for each other and you have WOLF UNTAMED.

3.5 Hearts The story is fine but it is so similar to the others in the series that I think I might just need to take a break from this series. This is #11 in the series and I feel that the author can only do so much with the same type of storyline eleven times (more so if you count the other series’).

There is a lot happening to Diego and Bree in this story. There were times I wished I had a commercial break so the characters could take a breath. The romance is just as jam-packed. Yes, we know they are meant to be together for they are soulmates and I liked that the relationship never seemed to falter in the belief they were meant to be together and they could accomplish anything as long as they are together.

If you are a first time reader of this series then it would probably be very enjoyable but for a reader who has read most if not all of the series it needs to be changed up.

I love this series. Diego is a negotiator on the SWAT team of werewolves. He works to save Brandon and Bree while they are held hostage. Bree is a single mom and trying her best to raise Brandon, who she doesn't know has secrets of his own. The romance is sweet and sizzling. The relationship between a beta and his alpha is intriguing. They really seem like people you want to know!

Wolf Untamed by Paige Tyler is book 11 in the SWAT: Special Wolf Alpha Team series. This book focuses on Diego and Bree. Diego was a former police officer, who one night after being in a dangerous and life changing situation, finds out he is a werewolf. From there we see him join the SWAT team with his best friend. During a call out, he meets Bree and her newly turned werewolf son, Brandon. From the time of the call, Diego knows that there is something special about Bree and wants to get to know not only her but her son also.

Bree is an Insurance Investigator who went through a rough divorce, has a crazy ex-husband, a son who has been through some hard changes who she is finding it difficult to relate too and to make matters worse, she and her son have been taken hostage. To make the day better, SWAT member Diego comes into her life, wanting to protect her, love her and to help her grow, but sadly danger is lingering around the corner for both of them.

This was a fast and intriguing read. Not only are we reading about what it is like to be a werewolf, from both Diego and Brandon’s point of view, but were also following an intriguing story line where people become infected and do things against their will without remembering anything about it. To add into the twist and turns, Bree’s job as an investigator are also tied in with the random robberies and she seems to unwittingly be in the middle of all of the drama.

We also see the developing relationship between Diego and Bree. It is a slow burn relationship which blazes white hot when both Bree and Diego finally make a move with each other. Their scenes are heart-warming and add into the mix Diego’s relationship with Brandon which is super sweet and even though Diego isn’t Brandon’s father, he definitely gives good fatherly advice and helps Brandon with his transition.

This book is a page turner, it’s fast paced and has a lot of action going on pretty much from the first page. Both Diego and Bree are really likeable characters and you as a reader are invested in their relationship, regardless of what gets thrown their way. This is definitely a must-read book for any paranormal enthusiast out there!

ARC received for a fair, honest and sometimes long review. All opinions are my own. 😊

When I had finished Wolf Under Fire, I was eagerly awaiting number 11 of the SWAT series, because I really enjoyed the hunky werewolves better than the supernatural beings of STAT.
And yay, number 11 is about Diego, who we already know from the series. Diego always had a protective streak on him (like with Rachel in Wolf Rebel). And then he rescues a young beta werewolf from a robbery gone wild, and Diego realizes that the beta doesn't understand what is happening to him. So he takes the boy under his wing, to show him what is happening. And of course, it doesn't hurt that the mother of the boy is cute as hell.
But Diego is just a sweetheart. You kinda just melt into a puddle of goo, because he is that nice. And the best part: he just doesn't realize he is that great. He feels insecure when Brandon looks up to him as his alpha and he doesn't want to think that Bree may be The One for him.
So, in all a great cute story, with some twists and turns, when we finally start to unravel the strange happenings with seemingly normal people who suddenly go on a rampage. So, thank you Paige, for another hunky SWAT story. Awaiting number 12 in the series and and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc. Five out of five stars from me!

Another great story. Paige knocked this story out of the park. I just wish that Brandon had learned to control his shifting more, and that he could have shifted in the warehouse and saved his mom.

Paranormal Alpha Werewolf SWAT negotiator, What is not to love. It was heart wrenching hearing Diego's story on how he became a werewolf. I had to reach for the Kleenex. Such a great read with twists, turns, love family. We all know pack is about family but this went a little deeper with Diego, Bree and Brandon. Can you imagine being in your teens, your dads in jail and your dreaming of teeth and claws? This really had it all, a psycho, a teenager, a single mom. Murder, theft and what I really loved was the strong, intelligent Bree. She listened, paid attention and made me smile with her whispers to Diego. I love this series. It can be read as a stand alone, but then your just selling yourself short. Indulge, meet the gang, and treat yourself. I like the fact that this book left me second guessing how the ability to control is going to pan out, so ready for the next one. Thank you Paige for your awesome series! Thank you Sourcebooks Casablanca and thank you Net Galley. I freely volunteer my thoughts and opinions on this awesome arc of Wolf Untamed. Sign me, I am a groupie :)

WOLF UNTAMED by Paige Tyler is the eleventh book in the SWAT: Special Wolf Alpha Team paranormal romantic suspense series and is set in contemporary times in Dallas, Texas.

Officer Diego Martinez and his fellow SWAT team members are at another crime scene. When he meets newly turned werewolf Brandon Harlow and the teenager’s mother, Bree, life gets interesting. As the SWAT team’s big case converges with Bree’s case as an insurance investigator, the danger and action ramps up quickly.
Diego and Bree are fantastic characters. While Diego is an alpha and protective, Bree is a strong female protagonist. They balance each other well. There is an immediate attraction, but the first steamy scene isn’t until about 60 percent of the way through the book. Not only does this allow Diego and Bree to get to know each other, but the reader also gets insights into their strengths and flaws. Besides Diego and Bree being compelling characters that felt three-dimensional, Brandon shows significant growth during the course of the book. The secondary characters were well-rounded and the antagonist was well-drawn. The prologue gives some background on Diego. I wish this had somehow been incorporated into the main part of the book rather than being a flashback in time.

The plot was complex with lots of twists and turns and the stakes were high. The significant amount of danger and action kept me fully engaged and made this a true page turner for me. The author uses a unique take on werewolves and does a good job of explaining this.

This is a riveting story with protagonists that I liked and cheered on as their cases progressed and became ever more dangerous. It held my attention fully and contained the elements that I love in this genre of books. This is definitely a book that delivers on escapism through attraction, friendship, family, romance and love while also tackling serious issues including anger, stressful situations, crime sprees, suicide and changes in life, family relationships, drugs and selfless sacrifice for others.

Overall, it was suspenseful, full of danger, and heartwarming. This combination kept me fully engaged and delivered on the promise of its premise and opening scenes. The subplots tied together well, the main characters were strong and the ending was explosive. If you enjoy thrilling paranormal romantic suspense novels, then I recommend you check out this series. There is enough background that WOLF UNTAMED can be read as a standalone. I’m looking forward to the next book in this series.

I loved this book. It has some very unusual twists that made for a riveting read. Bree's ex is a psycho. His master plan didn't account for Diego or the swat team. Steamy, intriguing and very well written i highly recommend this book.

4.5 stars. This is another exciting installment of this series. Love the characters so much and the plot kept me intrigued throughout. In the prologue, we get Diego's story of how he came to be a werewolf and it was so difficult to read. Only because I knew he would be okay (or there would be no book) could I get through it. From that moment on I was hooked! Now he is a negotiator for SWAT and that is how he meets Bree and her son Brandon. I really love their story and it definitely kept me on the edge of my seat! I mean who doesn't like a little danger mixed in with a sweet love story that also includes big strong hunky werewolves?

Another fantastic shifter romance by Paige Tyler. Diego and Bree are such a good pair. I liked how there is suspense, romance, and a HEA.

Diego and Bree are strong characters. Wolf Untamed has werewolves, love, and that little edge of danger that we love when it comes to the SWAT team. In the Prologue when Diego was shot that was very stressful for me. In a lot of books when something like that happens you spend the book trying to figure out who killed them, but this time it was when Diego's life completely changed. He was opened up to a whole new world.

Diego joins the SWAT team and has become their negotiator and walks into the diner with hostages. Once inside he meets a young newly turned beta werewolf. Diego takes it upon himself to begin teaching Brandon how to control his abilities and introduce him to members of the beta pack. Along the way he realizes that Bree is The One for him, but doesn't want to scare her away with the idea that maybe she doesn't have free will when it comes to their relationship. While they are getting to know each other, Bree's past in the form of her ex-husband, seems to be showing up. Diego is able to help Bree get a restraining order against him.

I enjoyed this book with Diego, Brandon, and Bree and highly recommend it!

I have to admit that I like Paige Tyler's take on Werewolves. She is able to bring a believable side to the supernatural world. The author explains the difference between the wolf packs and bring readers up to date in the world some are just starting to read and other will love the story that continues.

The mothers reactions and love for her son is naturally written.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the advance copy of Paige Tyler Wolf Untamed.

After a near death experience transforms Diego Martinez into a werewolf, he finds his pack and starts working with them in SWAT. When he responds to a hostage situation in a diner, he doesn't expect to find a teenage werewolf in need of an alpha - or Bree, a mother who desperately needs help with her son. Bree might just be The One for Diego. But first they must survive a crimewave that seems to be catching.

This was a lot of fun to read, though I found it to be a bit Paranormal Lite - I prefer a bit more world-building and more developed pack dynamics in my werewolf romances. Diego was actually quite a sweet werewolf (though I'm sure he'd scoff if I told him this lol) and I grew to be quite fond of him. A nice, easy way to pass the time - and there are enough interesting twists in this book to keep you reading until the end.

Wolf Untamed is the newest in the Wolf Swat Series by Paige Tyler. I received this book free for my unbiased opinion and review.

Diego is a negotiator for Swat a team mad up of all Werewolves. He responds to a shooter holding hostages in a diner and ends up saving the life of Bree a mother of 15 year old Brandon who happens to be a beta werewolf but doesn't know it. Bree learns quickly from Diego whats going on with her son and will do all she can to help him through it. Diego and Bree have an instant connection, though Diego has promised to help Brandon he also wants to pursue Bree who just might be is "The One". Things get crazy when her ex-husband shows up and tries to get Bree to come back to him which she will have nothing to do with him.

Diego and the crew are trying to figure out why they are getting so many calls of shooters and all of them happen to be strung out on some kind of drug. All this is happening why the two of them trying to date and help Brandon.

I enjoyed this book, the entire series has been action packed and really enjoyable, can't wait for the next one.

I received this ARC from Sourcebooks Casablanca via Netgalley with thanks in return for an unbiased review

This book is an action-packed paranormal/romantic suspense that had my heart pounding.

Okay, everyone! This book was caught my attention from the moment I got to the prologue, I have read two other books in this series and they were well written but I think that by far this book has exceeded the earlier novels (don't quote me too much I haven't read the more recent ones leading to this, but I'm really wanting to delve into those soon!).

Let's get into my iteration of the plot:

"Bree Harlow has had a rough life.
Her ex-husband was charged with manslaughter and her 15-year-old son has not been the same since he was shot by gang members.
When a sweet cafe/ breakfast trip with her son turns into a hostage nightmare,
Bree is at her wit's end.
Will they die here?
When hope seems lost,
In walks... a HERO, who she never thought would mean so much to her and to her son."

Overall rating 3.5- 4 stars

Why not the full 4 stars? let me tell you.

When I read a romantic-suspense novel that involves very attractive SWAT teams, I don't want to be able to guess the bad guy from the beginning. I love those "NO WAY!!!!" moments because it is thrilling and mindblowing. I didn't really get that for this book. I knew and guessed who was the bad guy and we never had a name for his 'paranormal' kind.

I would have liked some story beyond the Antarctica thing, I wanted to know the: what, how, and why's which I didn't really get.

Now what I can say I did really like are the character portrayal and writing. It was super cool and the author just pulls you into her world. Hands down, my favorite part was the prologue of this book. I felt like crying and I was so emotional just from a few pages that made me love our ML: Diego. His character at the beginning was illustrated very well.

I really want to read about when he joined the swat team and how he dealt with all the change. That's my fault, I need to read all the others, other than the now 3/11 I have delved into.

The romance, nice but somewhat...hmmm, I don't know, unfulfilling? I wanted Bree to be more badass I think. I wanted her to have more agency and show what she's capable of, I didn't really get that. I sometimes like the idea of the big hero that protects the damsel in distress but it's kind of nice when the damsel is pretty awesome but has an amazing hero who fights, not FOR her, but alongside her. This was very much a, he fights for her, kinda novel. Which I can appreciate objectively. Also, insta-love alert!

Relationship with the son? There was so much more that could possibly happen there, but again it'll probably be too many chapters but I would have loved to see some teenage angst. Most teenagers aren't so....welcoming of a new male figure after a homicidal person in their life. And I know it might have something to do with werewolf bonds, but how cool would it be if the relationship between the son and Diego was more dramatic and a slow win of confidence?

So overall, sure this story was very nice. I would have liked more suspense, more thrill, and more relationship build-up but that doesn't mean it is a bad thing without all these attributes.

Stay awesome my lovelies!

Paige Tyler's SWAT series has generally been a whole load of fun and the dizzying number of permutations that Tyler comes up with when it comes to getting a SWAT werewolf law enforcement officer matched with his special one has made for very entertaining reading. 'Wolf Untamed', the 11th book in this series, is probably testament to how her werewolf universe is simply growing and expanding, although I might personally be struggling a little with reader-fatigue as this goes on. Elements (like the appearance of vampires and hunters, for instance) that were added on in previous books didn't make their reappearance consistently and I for one, missed the interesting and complicated dynamics that these characters added on.

Undoubtedly, Diego/Bree's story is action-packed, with many things going on at once that didn't let up...at all. With the plot primarily focused around Bree's shady ex and her son's emerging beta-wolf side and his shady dealings with friends who might be leading him astray, there's nary a free moment that Bree or Diego have to themselves before they're hauled off to another event that calls for their attention. Yet, their coming together is written as kismet (or in Tyler's universe, the myth of 'The One') and thus, there was never any question that Diego/Bree would simply slide into a relationship that didn't once falter from the start.

A very odd, bizarre twist and revelation at the end really threw me off though, and stretched my ability to suspend any disbelief. As a rushed add-on, so to speak - like a tantalising glimpse of what might be explored in later books - it was something to latch onto, though I wished this had been shaped into something more substantial instead of an afterthought.
