Faced with a bad case of writer's block and a tight deadline on her upcoming book, Maggie jumps on an offer to visit a friend's apartment in Paris where, hopefully, she'll find her muse and break her writer's block. Once in Paris, Maggie struggles with two unexpected romantic interests, reunites with her daughter (who lives in France), and begins to write again. This book is a fun read, set in one of the most romantic cities in the world, and flavored with French food and wine. I enjoyed accompanying Maggie on her journey to France and loved the behind the scenes insight into a famous romance writer's life. If you're looking for a summer beach read, this book is for you!

This book was a pure delight... loved the characters, loved the setting, loved the food, loved the romance!

A lovely book a story that had me travel from my armchair unable to travel to glorious Paris.Friendship Wine food and romance.Perfect book to escape into & enjoy.#netgalley#st.Martinsbooks

This is a cute book with a different type of main character. Being set is Paris was a big treat! The story was well written and has excellent character development. You really get to know the characters and each character plays an important role in the story. I would definitely recommend!

What else can I say: I will pick up a book set in Paris any time!
Maggie has been struggling to write (to start) the third book in her trilogy, so her agent decides a change of scenery may be what she needs, and he invites her to Paris where his family has an apartment that was inherited years ago. Maggie decides to go, and she begins to acclimate with Paris and find her writing groove once again.
But it isn't just the beauty of Paris that has inspired her. She begins to reinvent herself and her self-worth as well, and of course there are a few men that find their way into her life and make her start to both question her motives in Paris and if maybe her muse isn't in a place but in a person.
This was super cute in a steamier-than-Hallmark way--I read this in one day. Nice and quick and soul-restorative with some quirks and awkward dialogue--totally in the vein of Hallmark, which of course meant that I ate this up!
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC!

Super quick, fun read about an author looking for her muse. Maggie Bliss is stuck on the last book of the trilogy that’s going to make her dreams come true. Looking for her muse and a change of scenery, she goes to Paris and finds more than what she was looking for. Definitely recommend if you like HEA, romantic settings, and some humor thrown in for good measure!
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the arc.

Oh man Maggie Finds Her Muse, was such good romance novel. I loved every bit of Maggie’s story. For me the story felt very realistic and at the same time felt like one of those old romantic comedies like Gidget or like Under the Tuscan Sun. I would so see this if it was a movie. My only complaint was that there wasn’t an epilogue. I wanted to see more of what happened with the characters.

Such a fun, chick-lit style read. Who doesn't want to escape to Paris? Loved this one!
Many thanks to NetGalley, the publisher, and the author for my ARC. All opinions are my own.

Who misses traveling as much as I do?!
After being confined to home for so many months, it was such a treat to read about Maggie's time in Paris. And, oh my goodness...the food! 😍
Maggie is a writer, and it was so interesting to read about her writing process while working on the final book in a popular trilogy. I also loved her relationships with her daughter (a wonderful, realistic portrayal of a young woman with autism), her ex-husband, and her friends. It was a quick, fun read!

Maggie Finds Her Muse was such a fun, light, romantic summer read! That said, I wouldn’t call it fluffy, as it had some real depth to it in the exploration of Maggie’s relationships with her daughter, ex-husband, as well as the new people she meets along the way.
I loved being wisked off to Paris with our heroine, and the author’s vivid descriptions of the scenery, people and food was exquisite. I’ve never been to Paris, but she made me want to go, if only to eat cheese, drink wine and people-watch.
It was a pleasure taking the journey with Maggie while she found her muse---and more!
Thank you to St. Martin’s Press, Netgalley and Dee Ernst for an egalley of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Maggie Bliss suffers from writer’s block and comes to Paris to retrieve her muse. She’s single again at 48, and hopes her stay will birth a new book and a new life. Her daughter starts school nearby, and soon Maggie’s ex-hubs Alan shows up too. He wants to reunite, but she’s intrigued by Max, a handsome Frenchman she found in her bathtub.
Will she finally finish her book? Patch things up with Alan? Or get her groove back with Max? A sexy summer read!

Maggie Bliss is in a slump. She is contracted to write the third novel of the Delano’s Trilogy and she has already missed several deadlines. She cannot miss this last one or all bets are off for publication, book tour, and that little beach house she’s been dreaming about.
Her agent calls and suggests she come to Paris and stay with him and his partner. They are going to be traveling and other than the housekeeper she will have the apartment to herself. Maybe this is the opportunity to find her muse and get back into her writing groove after her latest breakup. And what luck, her daughter Nicole who she hasn’t seen for a year or so is going to college and living in nearby Rennes.
It’s complicated but Maggie is desperate.
What could go wrong? Her ex-husband Alan decides to visit Nicole as well, Nicole is in love and preoccupied with Louis, Solange the housekeeper has designs to hook up Maggie with her charming son Max and the pressure mounts as Maggie finds herself in the City of Lights with little more than her tee shirts and sweatpants and looming deadlines.
A charming story of find happiness later in life when you least expect it.

I started reading this book and enjoyed the premise of the story, but could not finish the novel. The lead character is very self-centered and writing feels flat. The story feels too contrived and is unreadable for me.

I really liked this book. Maggie was a fun character and it was nice to see an older heroine for once. It took awhile to get to the main plot which was a little frustrating. I would have liked at least 3 or 4 more steamy scenes. The ones that were in the book were really fun and original. Nicole was unique and you could tell the author had some first hand experience with Asperger's. Great beach read! Thanks Netgalley for the experience.

lovely little summer read, sweet and funny. I don't often enjoy romance novels and I really did enjoy this, I desperately want to visit Paris now. Thank you NetGalley xx

I loved this book. It was a delightful, beautiful book about romance. Everyone of the characters were all people I wanted to know more about and none were mean spirited and that made me happy. They all seem to grow and become happier in this book. The description of Paris, France and the food makes up for the trip I had to cancel this year due to COVID.and made me wish I was there.
The flow of the book was smooth and the expect trouble was hardly any trouble at all. To be honest this was one of the best romances I’ve read in a long time and it was loving without being sappy and allowed me to escape reality for awhile..
I’m so tired of the fictional story that is sad and complicated.

Blew through it in one day at the beach! Characters were cute, especially Maggie! Loved the setting! Paris is the best part of the book. It’s a tad predictable but still sweet and fun!

Cute and funny, this book was good. I like that it focuses on a middle-aged woman who is still in her prime and accepts the adventure to regroup her creative fire. I like that she is able to come into her own power and self again, and realize her potency and potential as well as be able to find love.

What a relatable book! Even though I am not a 48 year old bestselling author, I completely understand what it’s like to have writer’s block and how you would do anything or go anywhere for inspiration. Sometimes that doesn’t always work out either! I liked how the story was realistic and obviously I was sold as soon as I heard Paris!

What a wonderful book for this sad summer. Paris, food , wine and delightful characters. It's funny and charming and heart-warming. It made my week much brighter.
