This book is truly more of a women fiction than a romance book, which is not bad at all. I always love reading women fiction genre. It's more entertaining to read about a women discovery or journey of their life. It's always challenging to say the least. But I do warn for this book, just prepare for long chapters. It's more of slow pace story which takes time to read. Plus, we also get representatives of Autism in this book.

This wasn’t for me - I didn’t really enjoy this one. It felt like it would never end, but it also felt like nothing happened.

I love reading a romance when the main character is a mature woman . As Maggie us in Paris trying to get her creative juices flowing for her next book. I loved Maggie because though she’s lived a lifetime and has had many experiences she has insecurities like any woman. I loved the Oatis setting and the Romance . This was a delight to read

sadly, before i could download this title, netgalley took it off their catalog. that means i can’t review this one. HOWEVER, i will be checking in with my library to see if i can get a copy and review it that way

Maggie finds her Muse is a fun story of a successful romance author struggling with writer's block while trying to complete her bestselling trilogy. A trip to Paris seems just the remedy, and in this city that has inspired countless artists and writers before her, Maggie is able to write as she finds herself in a situation not too unlike a comedic romance novel. Can she finish her book and find love in the city of lights? This was an enjoyable read and the scenery and culinary descriptions were vivid and made me hungry for travel and fresh bread more than a couple times.

I really enjoyed this book! Maggie was such a likable character and I found myself turning each page ready to see where this journey would take her. Felt a little bit longer/drawn out than necessary, but enjoyed it nonetheless.

It's set in Paris, which almost earns an automatic 5 stars from me! But the book really lives up to my expectations with the heroine taking back her power and rediscovering herself in the process. Absolutely loved it.

Yah know. I really wanted to love this. I usually really enjoy coming of age stories? finding your purpose. This all felt forced. there was nothing wrong and the story was fine, it was just kinda... bland?

I love books about authors and I love books set in Paris so MAGGIE FINDS HER MUSE ticked all the boxes for me. It was a fun, entertaining and uplifting read that had me laughing out loud in a few places. Ernst has a wonderful way of pulling you into the story through her descriptions of the people, the locations and (this is France after all..) the food! I will definitely be looking for more of this author’s work.

I enjoyed this one, but if I had to pick one thing to be picky about, it's that it felt a little longer than it needed to be, to be completely honest. The book was heavy on character development and not so much the plot - which was good, because I enjoyed the characters - but it took me a little longer to finish than I was expecting because the plot wasn't pulling me in the way I wanted it to.

That said, I really enjoyed the story and the characters. Often with books like these it's easy to tell what's going to happen in the end - and with the romance aspect of the plot, who the woman is going to "choose" - but this book kept me guessing.

This is a great book about falling in and out of love, traveling, writer's block, and finding yourself. I thoroughly enjoyed every word of this book.

With everything at stake- Paris MUST be the place to find her inspiration and write her best selling novel. The clock is ticking however; and Maggie has numerous decisions to make. Should she reunite with an ex lover or jump at a chance with a handsome Frenchman? Will her characters escape and win their war? Most importantly: will Maggie find her muse?

Dee Ernst's Maggie Finds Her Muse is a heartwarming novel about finding yourself in the midst of starting over. The characters flow smoothly and are shown equal amounts of importance. Readers will fall for Dee's descriptions of Paris and imagine they were writing a romance novel of their own. The chapters were an appropriate length and titles meshed well with the overall book theme. I wish there was an epilogue so I could find out what happened with Maggie's third novel and love. I would recommend this novel to anyone who enjoys books by Sophie Kinsella and Laura Jane Williams.

I really loved this book.. This was such a lovely women’s fiction story. It was a really entertaining and fun story to read with a cute romance thrown is as well. Definitely would recommend to any friend. Thank you for the opportunity to read this!

An unexpected romance for an older couple, which is a refreshing change of pace, but with some red flags (ableism, white-savourism) that soured my taste.

Maggie's life has fallen apart. She's kicked out her ungrateful boyfriend, she's stuck and late on her writing deadline, and she doesn't know how to get unstuck. Then her editor suggests going to Paris with him and his partner for a change of scenery. In Paris, she finds herself again and maybe even love!

This was a fun, quick, and reasonably fluffy story about a woman who finds creative inspiration as well as love on an impromptu trip to Paris. There were some clichés, but I also laughed out loud at a few moments. All in all, it was a lighthearted, feel-good romance, and I’ll be sure to check out other stories by this writer when I need something similar again in the future.

I started this book long before its publishing date. And I put it down and moved on to other things. I've picked it up and tried to read it at least three times, but the third time's the charm, because I finally finished it. I would definitely say it is slow going, but it was a decent story.

Our heroine Maggie is a romance writer who has been banished to Paris to finish writing her book. Along the way she hangs out with her grown daughter, her ex husband, and her new friend Max. Max is the quintessential book boyfriend: handsome, sophistocated, FRENCH. <3 Maggie may be a romance writer but she is sort of blind when it comes to her own love life. Once the story got going it was pretty good, and I liked the characters, I just wish it wouldn't have been such a slow start.

Being a mood reader can be hard. I'm fairly certain I could love this book, however it wasn't grabbing my attention at the time I went to read it. For now, it is a DNF from me, but I can see really enjoying it. There is a chance I may come back to in it the future and will update my review at that time.
