No Place to Far by Kay Bratt is the 2nd book in this series. True to Me was the 1st book in the series located in Maui. In No Place to Far we learn more about Quinn’s Friend Maggie Dalton and her son. Maggie and her son settled in Maui after following Quinn. Maggie is trying to get settled after running for a year from a stalker. The storyline follows both Maggie and Quinn. This was such a great story and I just couldn’t put it down. It was a really believable storyline and the characters were very relatable. The description of Maui wants me to go as soon as I can. No Place to Far had romance, suspense, family drama and friendships. This is a great read and would highly recommend. I can’t wait to read more of Kay Bratt Books. Thank you Kay and Netgalley for giving me the opportunity to read it.

Aloha, this book was a great read, it takes us to one of the pretty islands of Hawaii. It's a very nice part of story telling at it's best! In No Place Too Far, the author has put together her story with some very nice and loveable characters, and the described scenery makes you want to be there and live in this story. This story is about Maggie a single mother with her young son, arrives on the island to start over and she gets help from her friend Quinn, who lives on the island having found her roots there. This story takes you on a tropical adventure and even a bit of mystery. In her quest to try and protect her son and herself Maggie goes through rough moments but, she will at the same time meet nice people that become her friends. Maggie also has her true companion her service dog, that helped her through rough times and always there for her when needed.
Maggie left behind her life and starts over with a new job in a veterinary clinic a domaine that she was familiar with in her past.
This story is also about Quinn's and Liam's life how they both have pasts and also how important "Ohana" is which symbolizes the Hawaiian word for family, and that is also a lot that is focused in this story. All these people in the story go through different hardships in their families and try to hang on to what is important and be there for each other even if it at times can be a major struggle for them. Everyone has their piece of history.
This story is so nicely weaved together, and it is such a pleasure to follow these nice people and how you actually can believe that in the end things will actually be okay and how families get reunited.
I'm so pleased to have read this book and I can highly recommend this book.! Thanks to the author and publisher for this excelent read! I just wish the book would have lasted longer!
I look forward to the next installment!

No Place Too Far is the second book in the By the Sea series by Kay Bratt, and it is just as fabulous as the first book.

Book 2 follows Quinn’s best friend, Maggie, as she escapes her previous life to Hawaii with her young son. Though I’ve never been to Hawaii, the author’s descriptions are so beautifully vivid that I could easily picture all of the various settings in the story. I loved that Quinn, along with the other characters from the first book, are very involved in this story. Getting to read more of their stories playing out was extremely satisfying.

There is a fair amount of creepiness and suspense in this book, and I absolutely love it. The mystery of who the villain is and how far he/she would go to achieve their goals drew me in from the moment the villain was mentioned, but I was still shocked when the final confrontation occurred.

Kay Bratt’s writing and storytelling are brilliant, and I cannot wait for the next book in this series.

Wow! Okay, I need a minute to breathe a little as No Place Too Far hit extremely close to home. That being said, you’ve got to read this second story in the “By the Sea” series. You will laugh and you will cry. Did I say laugh?! Dr. Starr and his antics will entice a full on belly chuckle. I see some resemblances of Kay’s life in this book and if you’re like me, it’ll fill your heart. I highly recommend this book. Thank you Kay Bratt and Netgalley for my requested copy of this ARC and all opinions in this review are my own.

Maggie Dalton & her son left a life on the run to move to Hawaii. Maggie's best friend Quinn had moved there shortly before, building a new life for herself..

Settling into life with her son, Maggie went back to her old skills in finding a job. She met people who accepted her for who she was, who she needed to be. But still there was something that kept her looking over her shoulder, reminding her that she needed to always be on the lookout. Maggie was right to keep her eyes open.

Kay Bratt writes & draws you in. Each story is amazing & makes you think. No Place Too Far takes you to a beautiful island where life is meant to be enjoyed, where people are accepted for who they are.

A big thank you to Kay Bratt & Lake Union Publishwrs for allowing me the opportunity to read this book & review it.

This is the second book of a series, the first being “True To Me”.
This story is just as engrossing as the first one. It continues the lives of all of the characters but adds a bit more emphasis on Maggie who came to Hawaii after her best friend Quinn moved there to meet her biological family.
Maggie and her young son, have been on the run for quite awhile, trying to keep a step ahead of a stalker who had been terrorizing her.
Once the authorities, captured him and put him in jail, she felt she could finally breath and the thought of seeing her best friend in Hawaii would be great for both her and her son.
This story is full of good friendships while going through challenging decisions, and at times nerve wracking experiences. I fell in love with most of the characters, as they portray strong people willing to do anything for one another.
This is a must read series in my opinion, as the progression of the story and characters is worth the continuing story. But it could also be read as a stand alone book.

This authors stories a so fun to read, she keeps me entertained and I never want the stories to end. I cannot wait for the next one in the series, and I don't usually like to get caught up in a series.

I would like to thank NetGalley and Lake Union Publishing for a copy of this book.

I received this book before it’s published date and agreed to give a fair and honest opinion. No Place Too Far takes you to the beautiful islands of Hawaii. I love the beach and the description of the area in this book makes you want to move! This book has a great storyline about events that take place in everyday lives. It has suspense, love, forgiveness, tragedy, family and everything that makes a book good. It could be read as a stand-alone but I suggest reading True To Me first as it’s an excellent book also and sets the tone for this book, No Place Too Far.

This is the continuation from Kay Bratts’s “True to Me.” Honestly, you don’t have to read the first book but, I do recommend you do. There is a lot of back story that continues in the second book “No Place too Far.”
This story has Quinn moving to Maui to be with her very best friend, Maggie. Quinn has major issues going on and hopes moving will make her feel safe once again. Maggie has issues of her own she’s trying to conquer. The story has just enough romance, family drama, mystery and suspense.
The storyline is engaging and draws you in. Plenty of suspense!
Many thanks to NetGalley, the publisher and author for the opportunity to read and review this book for my honest review.
*can be read as a stand alone

Loved this book!! I read the first in the series, and couldn’t wait to read this one. I love how the main focus was on Maggie rebuilding her life in Maui, but also included a lot of Quinn as her story continued. I’m thankful that Maggie overcame her stalker, and allowed herself to love Colby again. Although, I was hoping she would give Dr. Starr a chance. I quickly changed my mind when Colby overcame his fear of flying to be with her and their son. I was thrilled that Quinn and Liam got married at a surprise, spur of the moment wedding. I feel that there will be another book in this series, and I really hope there will be. I’m anxious to see how Quinn and her family handle the media with her story. I also would love to see Jonah heal and start a new life. Thank you for an amazing story!

No Place Too Far by Kay Bratt

Maggie and Quinn are both harbouring secrets from the past.

The two friends are supportive of each other's new starts but the past is quick to catch up with them both - and with it comes plenty of risks.

The peaceful tourist isle of Maui in Hawaii  they thought would be their  escape is not so idyllic after all - Has Maggie's stalker found her already? Will Quinn's terrible family secret jeopardise her new venture?

The book is quite fast paced with the story told between both Maggie and Quinn the two main characters. I think it is the second book of a series (I have not read the first) but it worked okay as a standalone story and I didn't struggle to follow the story.

At times it did feel the plot was slightly predictable and rushed but you do still feel empathy for the lead characters and want to invest in their stories and there was a couple of curveballs that didn't quite go as I expected.

Just an okay read for me, I couldn't really engage with the characters and I felt as though it fell flat in places and I was glad when I had got to the end.

Thank you to Netgalley and Lake Union Publishing for giving me the opportunity to read this book.

I love Maggie and through the whole book I was rooting for her the whole time! I was swept with emotions all the way til the very end! You feel as if you are part of the story and I love that. The author writes with so much emotion and heart you sure are to end up realizing you finished the book and now have to wait for the next amazing story! Hands down beyond 5 stars for me. I received this book from the publisher for review. A favorable review was not required and all reviews expressed are our own.

Another beautifully written love story with ups and downs like everyone. Maggie is running from an abusive situation and learns to lean on family and friends. There is also betrayal for Quinn and she is forced to make a life changing decision. This book has lessons in life and love the characters go through and learn from.
This book continues from True to Me and is a fabulous read. Kay Bratt hit a home run again.

A wonderful story of a woman uncovering her family's secrets and finding herself. I loved the insightful descriptions of local life in Maui. I will be recommending this one to friends.

I received an advance copy of this book vie NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Maggie has been stalked so she moves to Maui to start a new life, where her stalker will never find her. Her best friend on the island is Quinn who runs the local inn and has a complicated and frankly unbelievable family background. Some details of Quinn’s story are revealed but I had so many questions that I found myself wondering if I’d missed something. A search revealed that this is in fact the second book in the series and Quinn’s story is told n the first.

Although this is meant to be Maggie’s story, an awful lot of time is taken up with Quinn’s ongoing saga which made me question who was the main protagonist. None of the characters are believable. Despite Quinn’s ongoing problems she is able to drop everything surprisingly regularly to childmind Maggie’s son. The local vet employs Maggie because Quinn’s boyfriend asked him to and apart from one meltdown, Maggie herself doesn’t seem particularly afraid when she realises that her stalker may be on the loose again.

This book should have been dripping with suspense but it wasn’t. It was too twee and romantic for my liking. The previous book has good reviews on Amazon which I find surprising. I won’t be rushing to read it. I suspect readers who pick up this sequel may be disappointed.

Kay Bratt has done it again. She pulled me in with this 2nd book in her “By the Sea” series, No Place Too Far. Set in Maui, Kay has described the island so perfectly that you feel like you are right there. Her characters come alive on the pages and you feel like you truly know them.

In this book we are reintroduced to the characters from True To Me. This book is Maggie’s story. Maggie has been through a great deal in her young life. Fast-forward to No Place Too Far where Maggie has moved to Maui with her young son to start anew after dealing with a stalker. Her stalker has been apprehended and she finally feels like she can move on. Maggie is excited for her new life and new adventures she will have. Renewing her friendship with her good friend, Quinn, is an added bonus. Both young women had been through so much and this was exactly what they needed. Can Maggie truly escape her past and start fresh or will her past haunt her?

Thank you to Net Galley for my advanced review copy. All opinions and thoughts are my own.
