Westerns usually have a very clear line between the good guys and the bad....and then you have Tom Slater, a man whose "hobby" is robbing banks and staying clear of the law. But when he's asked to help out a friend, you can count on him to show up. Even a $20K reward on his head won't keep him from travelling south of the border to save his friend's son from his own stupid mistakes. But the crooked cowboys and desperados he meets along the way will test his patience and his gun skills. With a back story true to the era and a reckless disregard for his own safety, Tom will end up on the side of the good guys....this time.

I thought Dead Men Don't Lie was a good read. It is part six from Jackson Cain's series, The Outlaw Torn Slater. I give it three and a half stars.
