This book deserves 100 stars!! The beginning is very hard to read because the abused dog is telling his story. Once you get passed this part, Barby Keel takes you on a journey you will never forget. At times heart wrenching and then she warms your heart. To quote a sentence in her book about the relationship between pets and their owners - “How each is changed and healed by the other’s loving presence and guidance.” A truly remarkable and memorable story.

I had such high hopes for this book! The premise of having an inside look at an animal sanctuary fascinated me. The introduction was so good and then I moved on to chapter one.
The author writes in the voice of the animal! Seriously?? This is absolutely ridiculous. Write the book like an adult. This story can be told without dumbing it down to this level. This is not a children's book. Ugh, avoid at all costs.

Omg i sobbed i laughed so emotional. What a wonderful story about a lovely rescue greyhound. I am a dog lover and really felt all the emotions. If you don't cry at this book I will be very shocked
