Are those tears on my face? Absolutely! I've been a fan of Katie O'Neill and her work since I first discovered The Tea Dragon Society and it never cease to amaze me how wonderful these stories are and how much joy they bring to me.

In the Tea Dragon Tapestry, both Minette and Greta have grown up a bit but they have still much to learn, and it is quite a story of self discovery, and acceptance, and remembrance and love.

I don't think you'll find a more heartwarming story anywhere else, this is my to go when I'm feeling sad, it is just, pure happiness and softness.

And the art. Oh the art. It is beautiful and the colours have so much of life! I can't get enough of it.

English review (the french one is longer, I had trouble translating it): I'm a huge fan of Katie O'Neill"s book and more specifically of The Tea Dragon Society. I was expecting this sequel soooo much, and was so excited when I started it. If you don't know the tea-dragon universe, the cover is giving you the ambient of the book. In this enchanting universe, little creatures call tea dragon are making tea leaves grow on their horns. These leaves are magical...

In this sequel, Greta and Minette will have to face new troubles. Like Always with Katie O'Neill, the story is warm, kind et full of inclusivity.. The Tea Dragon Tapestry is a wonderful book.

This felt like the biggest, warmest, and softest blanket I had ever cuddled into! It was just the thing I needed to brighten up my day.
Can we just talk about the characters from the second book appearing in this book?!!!
Everyone glowed up so wonderfully and beautifully *sniff sniff*
*sad girl hours*

The graphic novels from Katie O'Neill never cease to amaze me. The art style is definitely one of my favorites and I'm always so excited to have the chance to read another. The Tea Dragon Tapestry is no exception. While I don't think the plot of this one will be overly memorable like the previous two installments were, I can't deny the fact that I absolutely loved every moment of reading it. This is a 4.5/5 for me.

"...I feel homesick for the person I used to be..."

I had the ARC for over a week now and despite my excitement, I held off for a bit bec I wanted to focus all my attention to this wonderful, adorable, and absolutely charming graphic novel.

In this third installment of the Tea Dragon series, Greta, a blacksmith apprentice prepares herself for a test of skill and craftsmanship that would determine if she's fit to be tutored by a legendary master. Minette, on the other hand, is sent a tapestry depicting her family's ancestor, and then she subsequently experiences strange dreams that upset not only her sleep, but also her waking times.

I would describe it as low stakes but with high feelings, although now that I'm thinking about it, the stakes weren't really "low" for the characters. It could also be the adorable and cozy artstyle that cushions and lightens the heavy things, but the story doesn't lose its depth because of it. I liked the care in which themes of grief, loss of passion, and search for life purpose were handled.

On a personal level, I think I related more to Minette than to Greta, bec there's a part where she talks about feeling lost. Also, Greta already knew what she wanted to do in her life, what she wanted to accomplish, must be nice (LOL). But yeah. I'm glad that there's a mystery surrounding Minette's dreams bec it made the story more compelling to read. I also loved the parts where mentors acknowledge that their students also teach them something valuable, instead of just a one-way kind of deal. Oh, and also the themes of passing of knowledge and tradition to the next generation, absolutely loved it!

This is a direct continuation of the first Tea Dragon book and it's unfortunate that I haven't read that before this, but it didn't make this book less beautiful. I just think fans of Tea Dragon Society would understand where the characters are coming from, and what had happened, and would appreciate this conclusion as it is intended.

I love the recurring characters, though, esp Rinn and Aedhan bec they are more familiar to me. I also recognized Hesekiel and Erik, but they're much older than I remembered. Still, they are couple goals, and I felt it particularly when they're talking about staying put in a little town instead of going everywhere on adventures.

I highly recommend this for those who are looking for a charming graphic novel to get comfortable with. The past few weeks have definitely been difficult to everyone, and this read will help give yourself even just a moment of calm and ease. :)

The Tea Dragon Tapestry is already the third installment of Katie O'Neill's Tea Dragon graphic novel series and I hope she never stops. These are such gems to the graphic novel world and you should not be ignoring these.

There is something so very wholesome about these books where the main line is rarely about an 'evil'  person or being as you often see. It is about what drives these characters, their goals, their wants, their purposes in life. In this case we are talking about change. What if things change in your life and you feel like you have lost your purpose?

But there is also the topic of grief. A year later Ginseng is still finding it hard to open up to Greta and to enjoy life. It does a good job of making it clear that grief is not something that is over in a few weeks or months. Grief is different for everyone and those around them can only be patient and be there with them. I think that is an important message. Too often people expect people to bounce back right away or at least within a few weeks after they have lost someone. But that is not how grief works. It is a long process.

This is already the third installment and a continuation of the story that was told in the first one. I had not yet read the first one but I found it easy to settle into this story. I think you can read these out of order if you so wish to.

It was so lovely to return to Greta and Minette’s world of tea dragons with this book. Once again, Katie O’Neill delivers a story full of softness and heart. Seeing the growth in these characters from the first book was pleasing, like finding out an old friend has gotten even cooler with age. The visual epilogue’s double spread was the perfect cap to this series.

There's so much to love about this adorable series. The artwork draws you into the magical world of the tea dragons and their caretakers and will make you wish you could own one. The story felt less fleshed out in this volume than the other two, but I still enjoyed another installment in this heartwarming story of friendship.

This was such a perfect finale to the Tea Dragon trilogy. My heart is so full knowing these characters are warm and safe. I love Katie O’Neill’s worlds so much and she truly knows how to craft a quiet cathartic plot. I wholly recommend anyone to read all three of these books.

"The Tea Dragon Tapestry" is a perfect conclusion to this beautiful little series. The story is absolutely precious, as always, and it brings everything from the two previous books together in the most satisfying way possible. The art is gorgeous, as one would expect from Katie O'Neill. This is a book that you will want to read again and again. Highly recommended for home libraries of readers of all ages, as well as school and public library collections.

Katie O'Neill created an absolutely adorable graphic novel series.
This conclusion features beautiful illustrations with gorgeous colors and has such important messages interwoven throughout the story.
I'll revisit these graphic novels for sure in the future and read them to my children one day.
I love how inclusive they are, with representation of queer relationships and characters, characters of colour, a character who uses a wheelchair, different body shapes/types and no social expectations to gender and body types.

Thank you so much to NetGalley & Oni Press for an eARC !

I couldn't wait to read this. I immediately downloaded it and read it. I love Katie O'Neill's work. It's calming and bright and lovely and so emotionally intelligent. The story she tells is a beautiful marriage of colors and words and downright adorableness. We so desperately need this kind of art right now. It is just wonderful.

⭐4 Stars⭐

Escape into the final instalment of Katie O'Neils Tea Dragon series.

"Everything that happens is part of your wholeness. The sadness, the loss, the hurt, as well as the joy, the love, the friendship -- it is all part of your tapestry."

Themes of change and loss have been part of this series since book one, but as you close the final page of the Tea Dragon Tapestry you are left with an understanding your inner self as every plotline comes together. O'Neil's world is distinct and magical, having explored it in now three books I think it offers a perfect escape to readers of all ages, especially now. The universal themes allow for an instant connection to each character and the diversity within the cast make children feel seen. Queer relationships are the glue that holds this world together and now that we have reached this wholesome conclusion I can say this is a collection that I hope to read to any children I may have in the future.

For lovers of:
• Magic ✨
• Friendship 👩🏼‍🤝‍👩🏼👫👨🏼‍🤝‍👨🏼
• Depth 📚

I say depth as Tapestry digs deep into the themes only touched upon in earlier instalments. Passion becomes a rediscovery of passion. Love becomes transient. Friendships become families.
I can't wait to see what world Katie invites us to next.
