Smart writing, coupled with clever insights, and scientific truths make for some interesting reading times with this book.

I came away impressed with the book - better than I had expected with such a seemingly drab subject as the CO2 molecule - the bane of global warming. The author does a good job of painting a picture that's less accusatory more educative, and even goes so far as being prescriptive - sometimes.

All in all, a rewarding exercise, one that will surely benefit all readers.

I only review books that are available in a Kindle format so I have not downloaded it and have not read it. I gave it three stars because I have no idea what it is really worth.

Climate change is, by far, the greatest threat to mankind today and, as authors Geoffrey Ozin and Murielle Ghoussoub show in The Story of Co2: Big Ideas for a Small Molecule, the only way we can win the fight against it is by drastically reducing carbon dioxide emissions. They not only discuss the problem but looks at realistic solutions to accomplishing this. Although they never downplay the importance and urgency of the issue, they avoid sounding overly pedantic and technical. But this is a science book and technical language can't be avoided completely. Fortunately, for those of us without a background in science, there is a glossary on the margins of the page to make it more accessible. I will admit that I often had to stop to reread parts to ensure I fully grasped what they were saying but, overall, I learned a great deal from reading this which, at least for me, is a huge plus, given the number of deniers on social media. The Story of Co2 is an important and certainly timely book on a very important issue and I recommend it highly.

Excellent, positive look climate-change mitigation

I enjoyed this book. It’s not a defense of the notion of climate change and it’s not preachy. What it is, is a positive look at what can be done about climate change, specifically about carbon dioxide. I found that the authors have a realistic look of business and society and their proposals, based on science, also seem to be realistic. The writing style is conversational and the authors use great analogies to explain the science. There was also a glossary built into the margins of the text. This is good science writing. I recommend this book for anyone interested in climate change.
