You can't go wrong with a book by Avery Flynn. I love her hockey romances and I couldn't wait to dive into this one. I really liked Shelby. Man, can you say bad luck. I felt for Ian because his life has just turned upside down. He definitely struggles through in this book. If he can't find he was through it he may just may let the best thing slip through his fingers. You can feel the sexual tension between Shelby and Ian. Being stuck in a blizzard together in a small cabin leads to many sparks. This book gave me the humor and heart I expect in a rom com by Avery Flynn. This is a book that will get you out of a reading funk. You'll have a hard time putting this one down.

I have really been enjoying this series by Avery Flynn and couldn't wait to get into Loud Mouth. I liked that we get a little bit of enemies-to-lovers and forced proximity, snowed in at a cabin, yes please. However, I wish they were there a little bit longer, but they're still forced to be around together constantly.

Overall, I did enjoy reading about Shelby and Ian, but there were little things here and there that we had more of. I was hoping the enemies-to-lovers played out a little bit longer, their attraction for one another took over quickly. Not that I was complaining too much because these two had a whole lot of chemistry. But I was wanting a bit more anticipation.

I loved the little bromance between Ian and Alex despite their issues that they have to work through, but these two are definitely a solid team.

I wish we had more depth with the main characters and got more on the emotional side of things. However, still enjoyed this one and can't wait for the next one in the series.

Avery Flynn hits it in the net with LOUD MOUTH (Ice Knights #3). Ice Knights hockey star Ian Petrov discovers that his hockey Hall of Fame father cheated on his mother and had a son: his best friend and teammate Alex Christensen. He heads to the mountains to get away from the press. Things get worse when he is trapped with the person that leaked his story, Shelby Blanton. This contemporary sports romance is suitable for adult readers.

Avery Flynn does a fantastic job with this story. It is skillfully written and has interesting twists. I like her use of timeline in the novel. Shelby is an admiral heroine. She is six years sober. This is the first sports romance that I have read that a female main character is a recovering alcoholic. It always seems to be the male athlete. I appreciated the different point of view. I also liked that Ian never held that against her. Ian is a good guy. He feels like he has always lived in his father’s shadow. It did not help that his dad was a jerk. I like how the characters developed in the story. They are both genuine and likable people.

LOUD MOUTH was entertaining and hard to put down. It was heartwarming and humorous. It is a wonderful addition to the Ice Knight series. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

Okay, I have to tell you guys something but don’t tell anyone, k …. Not only do I love this series, but I might love the covers and by might I mean yes, yes I do! Obvs, I’m not the cartoon cover girl, so keep my secret,k :)

This story was hilarious! Avery Flynn knows how to deliver a romantic comedy that isn’t silly but instead is one giant heartfelt humorous step after another. It the stops. The laughter never stops. Not with this story at least. I mean the grumpy guy with the sassy chic … it was hilarious before it even began!

This was the story I had been waiting for in this series!

This is the story of Ian and Shelby.

Take a cabin, a whole mess of chemistry and two beautifully quirky characters, and watch the pages melt with humor, heat, and heart.

Shelby is such a complicated and enduring character! The struggles and triumphs she goes through are so commendable! It made me in awe of her, she was a complicated puzzle that Ian could only figure out.

Ian, whew, this fella is also complicated. To the surprises about his family and living in the shadow of his father, his whole life has truly molded him into the man he is. He is the epitome of "silent waters run deep". There is so much more to him than what he reveals to the world. And Shelby is the lucky soul that gets to have him!

I have so much love for this series! Each book can be read as a standalone, but do yourself a favor and read them all!!

Given everything going on in the world right now, I needed a truly fun, tug on the heart strings read and Loud Mouth definitely fit the bill.

Ian and Shelby are both characters that (between) them have enough baggage to take a nice long vacation. Even with that, they are characters that are easy to like and root for.

Ms Flynn puts these two in several interesting situations that plant seeds and then allows those ideas of friendship, attraction, and love to grow. I enjoyed seeing both Shelby and (especially) Ian take the emotional journeys needed to get out of their own way long enough to try to be happy.

Add in a small, but impactful secondary cast and Loud Mouth is a great addition to the Ice Knights series. I can’t wait to see what Ms Flynn has in store for us next.

I loved this because it was easy, not too long, and has the right amount of humor and sexiness that I couldn't put it down. The tension and banter between them was hilarious and it didn't hurt that their chemistry was downright explosive.

Shelby Blanton is the consummate Ice Knights hockey fan, if her blog is anything to go by. She's tough and outspoken and offers her followers the unvarnished truth. Too bad she unwittingly exposed a secret that Knights player, Ian Petrov, didn’t even know he had! Which of course makes Shelby Ian's least favorite person ever.

If that’s not bad enough, now Shelby is at the cabin Ian was supposed to be renting, alone, to spend a week with a bottle of scotch and hide from the aftermath of his finding out with the rest of the world that his best friend and teammate is also his half brother. Even the weather has conspired against him by dumping enough snow on the mountain retreat that he and Shelby are stuck together for the foreseeable future.

Light hearted and fun, with a little bit of drama but low on the angst, Ian and Shelby's story still has all the humor and heart we've come to expect from this gifted storyteller. It's charming entertainment that practically reads itself and you won’t want to miss it!

I'm a big fan of Avery Flynn's romcoms. You can always count on Avery Flynn's books to be well-written, witty, and laugh-out-loud fun. Her characters are always a little bit flawed, relatable and believable, and Shelby and Ian fit right in with the other Ice Knights/Hartigan characters.

Loud Mouth is fun, enjoyable read that you can easily get into and devour in one sitting. It's full of frustration between the two leads and Shelby outs a secret about Ian that he did not know, so the friction between the two of them is palpable, but they're not really enemies at all. They find themselves stuck together during a snowstorm, and the proximity forces them to address their differences and learn about each other in a different way.

This is a steamy, light, fun read. The tension is not overly angsty or dramatic, and the characters are intriguing and interesting.

THIS SERIES! Seriously, the first book, Parental Guidance, just blew my mind and made me laugh until I cried. It was one of my favorite books of 2019. Then came Awk-Weird and I knew this series was going to be one of my favorites. I was completely right.

Avery Flynn has done it again with Loud Mouth. The banter and humor of her writing are absolutely the best. She takes serious life events, then adds humor and emotion in a way that sucks me right in. I loved the broody, moody Ian with all his faults. I loved Shelby's mix of strength and vulnerability. I loved the forced proximity of a cabin and fixing Ian's imagine with his half-brother. There were multiple misunderstandings that hurt my heart, made me laugh, and just gave the story depth! The best part is I didn't see it coming when the cabin time came to an end. Seriously, Avery Flynn manages to surprise me, break my heart, make me laugh, and then patch my heart back to new with a HEA. I loved this book and I hope you do too!

So I didn't realize this is the third book in a series, but it can be read as a standalone. Overall it's a cute story, but it felt rushed at the same time. I really would have liked more information and background on both Ian and Shelby; we can get a rough sense of what life was like for Ian, growing up with his dad (talk about a classic narcissist!) given how his dad acts towards the end of the story when he shows up, but more so Shelby and why she ended up with alcohol abuse problems.

There's a lot of back and forth between Ian and Shelby, I can understand Ian's knee jerk reaction to most situations, given how the shocking secret was leaked, but even right up to the end, Ian still doubted Shelby, so I don't blame her one bit for the choice she made as I most likely would have done the same thing (although that scene with Ian's dad was absolutely hilarious). Wasn't surprising who was the person that got Ian to pull his head out of his posterior, and I thought the epilogue was especially sweet.

Shelby made a mistake of taking a call from her mother that ended up with her breaking a huge story regarding Ian Petrov and his best-friend who just also happened to be his brother. Now Ian and Shelby are trying to hide out in a cabin for some much-needed RNR. Except their cabin ends up being the same cabin and now they're snowed in together. This leads to some sexy times. When they go back it's a balancing act of if they should be together or not.

Loud Mouth was a fine story. I didn't love it or hate it. Shelby and Ian were both characters I could have lived without. They weren't very interesting to me and felt very one dimensional. Ian struggled with who his father is and all the secrets and lies and abuse he got from not only his father but also the media because of his father. Shelby is a recovering alcoholic who got her dream working with Ice Knights.

Loud Mouth was a quick read with good pacing, some humor, and a happily ever after.

I sooo enjoyed this book! I found myself smiling and laughing throughout. It gave me ALL. THE. FEELS. and I didn't want to put it down. Ian and Shelby weren't on good terms. They found themselves thrown together without a way out and had to make the best of things. And some things were revealed. One thing they weren't expecting was the chemistry between them. While life wasn't going in the direction they thought, they made the most of things. Shelby just wanted to do her job and do it well. Ian was in a strange place in his life and he was trying to find his footing. But Shelby and Ian were drawn to each other and they leaned on each other. This book was so sweet, fun and I can't recommend it enough!

Another fun romantic comedy from Avery Flynn! This enemies-to-lovers story has humor, heart, and heat, all layered with Avery Flynn’s trademark snark and sass that I have come to love.

I just loved the set-up of this book - forced proximity is so much fun, and knowing that Ian blames Shelby for his current situation the tension between these two, as well as the attraction, just makes for some fun dialogue and steamy times. There was no lack of spark and heat between these two, but between the fraternizing policy that is a convenient excuse for Shelby to shield her heart, and Ian’s inability to see past his father’s shadow, these two just can’t seem to get out of their own way and listen to their hearts. I’m not a huge fan of too much angst, so it did get a bit frustrating watching these two deny what they wanted (each other), but with how things turned out I think it worked for me to make the resolution a bit sweeter.

This is the third book in this series but can easily be read as a stand-alone - but beware, you will probably end up wanting to read all of the books! One of my favorite parts of reading a series (including cross-over series) is that you get to revisit with old characters and learn more about those who will most likely be featured in upcoming stories. I loved seeing Lucy with her baby and the few glimpses of some of the other characters, and I really loved finding out more about Alex, who I hope is who the next book is about!

I am a huge fan of Avery Flynn’s writing style - her dialogue and prose just flow on the pages and make her books an easy read. I love her sense of humor and her ability to create strong characters, and I love that her heroines can all stand on their own, despite their own perceived flaws and weaknesses.

I would definitely recommend adding this one to your TBR!

Don't you just love it when an author takes an unoriginal plot and makes it their own?! I think that's the best quality any romance writer can have. So, you might think that this is your typical 'enemies-to-lovers' and 'stranded in snow' kind of story, only to find out that it's so much more. It's a well-crafted and well-paced romance that will melt your heart and make you feel good. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this cute and fun story about two people who tried to avoid romance but it found them anyway, and in the most unexpected way too. In my opinion, this book is a page-turner and a must-read for any romance lover, especially if you like contemporary romance. Because it is one of the best.

When Shelby accidentally allows a newspaper reporter to overhear a big secret involving two players on the Ice Knights team, the most significant result is that the two players' longtime friendship comes to an end. Shelby feels horrible, so finding out she has to share her rental cabin with one of the two men, Ian Petrov, until the snow melts, is not exactly the getaway and escape she had been hoping for. Or perhaps it could be exactly what she needs when the attraction between the two of them is off the charts hot and begging to be consummated.

But the last thing Shelby wants is to be like her mom when it comes to love and relationships, so she has to guard her heart against feelings, against "Mr. Sexy Grunts" grumpster himself, lest she get hurt. But in doing so, may keep her from the happiness she and Ian deserve. Or it could be that Ian's ever present intense dislike of being compared to his ice legend father, and constantly coming up lacking, will be the thing that drives the wedge between this pair of opposites. Either way, the two will need to let go of their baggage if they want the happiness they're hoping for somewhere deep inside them.

I've loved the Ice Knights series so far, and Loud Mouth just makes me love this group of hockey players all the more. It's lighthearted, fun, and sexy - perfect and just what I needed today.

You can never go wrong with Avery Flynn if you love fun and flirty rom-coms. Loud Mouth was a fun quirky read with the right amount of hotness.

Shelby is a very hilarious character and I loved how sassy she is. Ian is the hot brooding and gruff hockey player. They hate each other's guts, but because of a mistake they were trapped in a cabin together. As they spend time stuck together, they find that they have a lot of attraction.

Their chemistry is off the charts, and overall this was a steamy, fun romance.

This book was really good. It had the comedy that a reader has come to expect from the Ice Knights books and it had the sassy heroine which is basically an Avery Flynn staple. I loved reading about another player and watching the ups and downs of Ian’s non-relationship with Shelby was great. It made for a quick and enjoyable read.
*I received an ARC for an honest review*

4 1/2 STARS!

Utterly delightful! With the third book in her always entertaining Ice Knights series Avery Flynn delights us all with Ian Petrov's story. This grumpy hockey player is yummylicious and growls in all the right places, but he might have just met his match in tough girl Shelby Blanton!

Ian is a lot of fun to read. He is mad at the world when a major secret is uncovered that tears apart the best part of his days in hockey. He's mad at the world and he's especially mad at his jerk of a father, bonehead of a former best friend and the chatty cathy who told the world things he didn't even know about his life!

Shelby is tough girl gold! She is at a good place in her life for a change and just wants this new job with the Ice Knights to go her way when it all starts to unravel in the blink of an eye ... simply by accident! She's got to find a way to make this right ... before she starts falling for this grumpy gus of a hockey stud!

I highly recommend this book and the entire series to anyone who likes a whole lot of snarky sass to make you laugh out loud on a regular basis with your hockey romance. The characters are loads of fun and the story line always fast paced and interesting. I'm really enjoying this team!

This is the perfect book if you’re looking for an easy romance that you can devour in one sitting. It’s one of those books that’s just so light, it doesn’t matter that it’s the third book in a series. A perfect beach read!

Flynn has created a gorgeous world with loveable characters. I’ve not read any of the previous books in the series, but it felt like it didn’t matter at all. She introduced us to the characters and had them feeling familiar very quickly with her smooth writing style. It’s almost an enemies to lovers trope but not quite. There’s a hilarious mishap at the start of the book that leaves them resenting one another. You can’t cope in a confined space with a gorgeous ice hockey star you dislike without emotions running high one way or another.

Shelby and Ian were the two main characters forced together after a mix up in a rental booking. There’s instant chemistry between them and when they’re cooped up together in the rental, it gets hot and steamy very quickly. For me it felt too quick. It made the romance seem unrealistic because of how quickly they went into the physical aspect of their relationship, especially given that they supposable dislike one another. It also creeped me out that Ian seemed way too interested in her whilst she was asleep, but maybe that’s just me…

Ian has some serious daddy issues after learning he has a half brother on his ice hockey team. What are the odds, right? The relationship between the two brothers throughout the story was one of my favourite parts to see develop.

At the end of the story, we’re told about Shelby having her own issues, which I won’t divulge here. It just seemed thrown in and didn’t feel like it handled with the care it needed. Ian’s issues seemed like they were the main focus of the story and that it potentially should have been left like that.

Overall, this is an enjoyable read that you can read and enjoy in a day. With relatable characters, a good plot and humour interspersed throughout, you can’t go far wrong with this book. It definitely left me with a smile on my face and the desire to read more books by this author!
