I've read quite a few books like this.
Enjoyable,a bit predictable, but readable enough to keep you going to the end.
Nothing startlingly different, but also nothing particularly bad.

I received a copy of this book from Netgalley in exchange for a review. This book just did not do it for me. I didn't find it thrilling in any way, I didn't care about the characters and it just didn't keep my attention.

Ann has only been working as a psychiatrist at a clinic for a few months when she’s asked to evaluate a patient who killed his mother and sister when he was seventeen. 27 years later, the patient, Timothy Stern, is now up for release. Ann is ready to refuse to take the case because the murder occurred in a place she once visited. Then memories of that time and place come flooding back, and Ann is forced to not only look at Stern’s case, but her own past as well

I received an advanced readers copy in exchange for an honest review.

This book wasn’t the worst or the best psychological thriller of late, but it was perfectly serviceable and did the job. 3.5. rounded up.
