Great explanations and easy workbook to aid client's EDs in addition to receiving therapy from a trained clinician

I wish I had found this book earlier. I have read a number of books on binge eating after being diagnosed but found that they were never quite right. This book however seem to make the penny drop and the plan and guidance offered was one that I could relate to
Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher and author for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

For someone who has struggled with binge eating in the past, this book really is the perfect workbook for understanding why and what to change to overcome the cycle of binges and guilt.

The binge eating prevention workbook is an easy read that will definitely help any person suffering from binge eating disorder in their road to recovery. I already practice some of the exercises and I've come far in my fight against BED. As others have already stated, I wish that I'd had a book like this one back when I felt like a prisoner of my eating disorder.

I recommend this book to anyone dealing with disordered eating and anyone who loves a person caught in disordered eating patterns. This is not only for BED sufferers.

With thanks to the author, the publisher and Netgalley for the digital ARC.

I have a habit on binge eating whenever I am stressed or upset. Therefore, I picked up this book so as to gain some insight in order to break this habit. I loved how easy this book was to read.
I have tried to follow the eight week programme and I actually found it really helpful.. While some of the guidelines may seem as obvious facts, I found the book helpful when it came to sticking to a pattern.
The editing and formatting could have been better.

I would like to thank the publisher for providing an advance copy in exchange for an honest review.

The binge eating prevention workbook is a fantastic guide to help curb binge eating and help you recognise where you are falling into it, why and how to stop. This is a great book which takes you on an 8 week study and guide to help you stop binge eating and falling back into this pattern.

I haven't started the plan yet but I will definitely be giving it a go as it all makes very good sense to me, seems very easy to follow and doable and I love the pages you can fill in as you go along week by week.

This book is filled with steps to take to combat binge eating disorder. I think any step that makes you think about what you are doing and tries to help is the most important step to take in the journey to end one's BED.
I appreciated the caring I felt as I read through.. now the hard part is to put the advice to use.

As someone who has suffered from stress driven binge eating a lot, this book is an invaluable tool that effectively helped me to change my mindset and lifestyle and decrease these episodes. This book is very well written and understandable and can be a super effective tool to help you let go of binging!

Spaces to write/chart to fill out during the eight-week program. Information, stories, and Q+A with doctors merged to help the reader.

i really enjoyed this. thought it was very user friendly. i do feel like i have conquered my binge eating by, like, 90%, and really feel like this would have helped me get over it much sooner if it was available years ago. i still falter every now and again, but this really enforced everything i already know and also included lots of info and practical tips to help me in that 10% of the time where i might need a bit of extra help. obviously this isn't for everyone, but i really do think it'd be helpful for those who have issues with binge eating.

I have been on many diets during my life and none of them have stuck although most have been temporarily successful. This book is very user friendly. I have read other books about BED ( Binge eating disorder) and this one is by far the most readable and not too clinical, while citing many studies. The main message is that dieting is harmful and actually creates binge-eating. Hunger in people deliberately trying to go without food creates feelings of deprivation; so by having 3 meals a day plus 3 snacks a day is the best way to go. What we shouldn’t do is try to ‘save up our calories’ into one or two meals but space them out. I found this book very interesting and I do intend to try the 8 week programme. Many thanks to Netgalley for an arc of this book.

This is a very thorough guide to helping you stop the cycle of binge eating. It is an 8-week program, and all of the information is backed by science which I liked. It covered things like mindful eating, body image, emotional eating, triggers for binge eating and how to avoid or work around those, and how to make attainable goals. It is all laid out in an easy to understand format with lots of quizzes and exercises to help you work through those issues.

I think this was a really helpful book, and I think implementing these tips will create a positive change, but it's too soon to tell right now.

I liked many of the exercises that followed right after good explanations of reframing negative emotions and actions.

Excellent guide for dealing with binge eating. I truly wish I had worked through this workbook much earlier in my life.

Let me start by stating that I was never diagnosed with a binge eating disorder. Therefore, I can't speak from a perspective of somebody who has. However, like many women (and men), I have dealt with highly problematic eating patterns starting from my early teens until now, in my mid-twenties: cycles of overeating, restricting, body positivity and self-hatred.

While it probably can't (and shouldn't) replace a therapist, Gia Marson's workbook is a gem for people like me who don't really need a therapist at all, or for anyone who wants to do more work on self-understanding. The workbook is built to take you through an 8-week program that really changed how I think about food and about my body, from visualization, through thoughts to concrete actions. Unlike simply other books, this one contains really helpful quizzes and comprehensive exercises that ACTUALLY make you do the work and reflect instead of simply read through the pages.

This book is interesting and it's like a journal where you can write things as you read. It's like a self help and you can engage the whole time. It might help people that are struggling with binge eating though. It's not really my kind of book because I don't like writing things on my books. I received a free digital copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review

. Executed very well. This guide takes a holistic approach and addresses internal and external factors related to binge eating. It isn't written like a dry textbook. The content is engaging and directs the reader through an eight week program. The "work" of the program is exciting and challenging. Scientifically and behaviorally based guidance. I enjoyed reviewing this information and recommend it to anyone struggling in their relationship with food

I didn't want to wait eight weeks to give the feedback, so I must confess that I haven't been through the whole program although I have started it. The information is very helpful, and I like that they're backed by scientific research. So many books about eating right don't have that backup.

The two issues I have with it are that the Kindle formatting is really, really bad. In one chapter the book discusses setting up a weekly plan for eating, but because of the formatting you can't tell where the meals are supposed to go. I think the information could have been organized a bit better as well. But it's still a solid plan to help people with whatever issues they're having with this particular problem.

This was an okay book for use in trying to curb binge eating. It’s a bit of a manual and journal. That way you can track your triggers and emotions. There are no graphics or illustrations, very straight to the point.
