This book is a great start for a knew believer to point towards true acceptance of Jesus's sacrifice for us. Jesus died for us, we are forgiven and a gift to us that is not earned.

I felt like this book was largely quotes from others. Helpful but felt more of a guidance book of quotes and not so much personal story. There were some personal stories which were nice. However, I struggled with how this was wrote up altogether. I could have gone without all the COVID-19 references. I appreciated the bible verses and those are key.
Thank you to Netgalley and Moody Publishers for this digital ARC copy.

Aside from human sin if we could label one primary cause of both a lack of assurances and a faulty assurance, it's confusion over what the gospel is not. It is trendy to claim that one needs to be known for more what they are "against". While that suggestion certainly holds merit, often times it takes understanding what something is not in order to grasp what something actually is. The question of what is not the gospel is equally important has what is the gospel.

With 5 short chapters we can begin to understand what assurance of faith really means. The confusion of the gospel is center to doubt of the gospel. To me this is a lifetime of working out your salvation. This is not the same as working for salvation. The barriers to belief. What is truth. How do we view sin and holiness? The essentials of saving faith leads us to the blessed assurance and shows our faith true.

This is a good reminder to the gospel and how we construe it. It is easy for us to do. Encouraging read of faith.

A Special thank you to Moody Publishers and Netgalley for the ARC and the opportunity to post an honest review.

If you need reassurance that you are saved and going to Heaven this is just the book for you. With even long time Christians unsure of their future this is sadly an essential book for the time.
