I already own both of the predecessors to this book so this was a great companion to those. As a standalone, i think it lacks a little of the doodle instructions that the others have but the theme is building those doodles into the scenes that you get in seamless design or coloring book pages.
Very nice to see the author's process in creating those fun full images we love.

First off, I love anything kawaii and I love to draw! I think it’s for any age whether you love to draw, don’t know how to draw, or just want to draw for fun. I liked the illustrations and step by step process. I also loved how the author gave descriptions of the individual doodles. I enjoyed reading it and doodling the “kawaii” drawings in my bullet journal! Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for this copy in exchange for an honest review!

My 14 year old daughter really enjoys drawing and anything anime. I was hoping this book would be something to keep her occupied while quarantining at home during the Covid Pandemic. I gave it to her to peruse, but she did not end up doodling with it. I think the examples and drawings were just a little too busy. Hard to focus on drawing and individual character, where there were so many lumped together in one picture. I think had this book focused first on drawing the individual characters and then lead into the more complex pictures of multiple characters overlaid, it might have been easier to attempt. We will keep looking for these books as she loves seeing all the cute Kawaii Characters.

Being a complete beginner to Kawaii Doodle style drawing I found this book interesting. I would of found the refresher section on how to draw each character to be at the beginning of the book more useful. If you are already proficient at this style of drawing then jumping straight into more complicated drawing would be fine. The book is very informative and cute. Fantastic to learn new methods.
Thank you to Netgalley for the early e book copy.

I often like these types of books because it gives my un-artistic self a step-by-step guide for ideas on how to make simple, but cute character art. I would recommend this for beginning artists, adults that want something different from coloring books, and a younger audience that is learning to draw and wants something "kawaii."

The layout and formatting of this book is very nice. It starts like many other craft books- there is a "how to use this book" section along with different types of to use for drawing. The doodles are quite simple and a few variations of shapes are shown. There is a quite a few variations on simple doodles that can help artists change up their work.

While I enjoy looking at the drawings in this book, a lot of it is pretty basic and similar ideas can be found in other books in this series. It is something that I would consider as more of a gift for someone else than as something that I would take constant enjoyment with myself. A great way to see if you are interested in this book is to check out the book preview on Amazon- it has a great preview that really summarizes the book well :)

Thank you Quarto Publishing Group for an advanced e-copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

4.5/5 stars!

This is another wonderful addition of Pic Candle books featuring the iconic doodles the artist is known for. Separated into parts, this drawing instructional book helps readers/doodlers draw "kawaii" characters with patterns and more! There is even a bonus feature in the back for some fun coloring!

Overall, this is a great drawing book. Also I would appreciate a couple of pages focusing on basic instructions in drawing characters and practice at the beginning of the book for review purpose. In conclusion, the book gave all the important points that it meant to impart to readers about Pic Candle doodles.

*Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the review copy.*

Kawaii Doodle World is a fun book and perfect for someone like myself who is artistically challenged. The instructions were simple and the drawings are cute and fun. The instructions seems quite easy to follow. A great way to relieve stress by doodling your worries away.

I received an advanced reader copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review via netgalley and the publishers.

This is a lovely book showing how to draw kawaii doodle scenes with really cute characters and objects.

This book shows you step by step how to draw objects and then how to put them all together and then how to put them within shapes such as a heart or star.

This is a great book for adults and children to enjoy and practice drawing kawaii doodles. I will be trying these out as an activity with my little one over the holidays.

Doodling is addictive and this book takes it a few steps further. Learn to draw some cute creatures and then group them together. Easy instructions and illustrations make this perfect for a beginner or those that want to add more to their current doodling. Fun and a plus if you are looking for a way to relax.
Thank you to the NetGalley, the publisher, and the author for the digital ARC of this book. All opinions are my own. This review can also be found on my Goodreads page.

Pic Candle shows you all the steps for drawing cute characters into adorable doodle scenes. First of all this book is so damn cute. The step by step instructions are very easy to follow. The one complaint I have is the layout, the 'refresher' how to instructions on drawing the characters is at the back of the book and the scenes how to is at the beginning which caused me to be flipping back and forth constantly. Due to this I don't recommend to beginners, but if you know someone who is already into doodling and has a basic understanding I would recommend to them.

Overall, I find the book useful as it gives you ideas of how to build a large scene of kawaii characters.

This is such an adorable book. Even just looking at the pictures brought a smile to my face. I'm a doodler, but I can't draw much other than simple shapes and squiggles. This book lets me draw cute little doodles with the minimal skills that I have at my disposal. The pages that were the most helpful to me were those with the step by step instructions showing me how to draw a cute cupcake, monster, donut, etc. Once you have the basics down, the book provides ideas on how to group these cute little doodles together. The margins of my notebooks will definitely be looking a lot cuter from now on!

So cute! A fantastic addition to teen and adult nonfiction collections with equal appeal for the middle and high school markets.

If you are looking to take your Kawaii drawing skills to the next level beyond just cute little drawings on a page, this is a great book to spark some inspiration. When I was looking into learning about Kawaii, I picked up another book by Pic Candle, Kawaii Doodle Class, and immediately fell in love with drawing these cute things! There is a refresher to some Kawaii drawing if you needed it. There's a refresher for the first project and then some more at the end of the book, which I thought was a bit odd. I would expect to have any refresher on drawing at the beginning of the book, and that's my only complaint about the book.

This is a book where you can learn how to draw Kawai doodles. It says in the description that you will take your doodling skills on the next level. It may be a bit difficult for complete beginners. I liked it!

Many thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this! All opinions are my own.

This is a great book for those of us who have a hard time with starting any drawing. It takes your hand and gently leads you around the page. You never feel like your first line on the page is totally wrong. It's fluid, and fun to follow, and I found myself turning to the next page without realizing it.

This is a cute book!

While the drawing themselves look basic and cute, there is a lot to making them work. The steps are broken down, but can still be a bit hard. I like the variety in foods and advice to make the drawing your own!

I appreciate that each step is broken down, but I feel like breaking down some steps further (like adding the decorations) would be helpful!

Overall it's a fun and cute book but could still be a bit hard for beginners.

This is an easy how-to for fans of Kawaii art. I requested this book from NetGalley because my daughter (11) loves to draw, and loves Kawaii art. Using her as my guinea pig, we sat down and she followed the easy how-to directions.
Within minutes she was hooked. Her art immediately started looking better, and she was more sure of her lines and designs.
This is a great book for those interested in learning how to draw Kawaii art and those that love to doodle.
**I was granted an ARC of this story from NetGalley and is my honest and voluntary review.

This book doesnt provide step by step of how to draw a kawaii character. It just gives you ideas of how to add many of them together to form a big picture. comprising of many characters. I think it is helpful in that aspect. It does also provide you with tips on how to embellish a kawaii character and the materials you need and it also explains what is a Kawaii. It is not that hard to draw a kawaii since there are pictures of different characters on the book and a kawaii character just basically comprises of few strokes.

If you are looking for a book to teach you how to draw each kawaii character stroke by stroke than this book would not be for you. Overall, I find the book useful as it gives you ideas of how to build a big landscape of many kawaii characters side by side or on top of each other. or overlapping It would be better if it provides stroke by stroke guidelines as well but I guess this was not the intention of the book.

On the whole, I like this book because it gives me ideas of how to overlap each kawaii character. The rest is up to your own imagination.

I like to thank NetGalley and the publisher for allowing me to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

I mean, this book isn't bad. It isn't for a beginner but it isn't bad. It mainly works with how to fill out a page with doodles- not how to draw said doodles in the first place. I saw the author had a book on how to sketch doodles, I've never read it but I bet that's a beginner's best option.

Pic candle does it again! These books are so much fun and easy to follow along, whether you're a beginner doodler or you're experienced and trying to give a new style a try. I particularly loved the practice pages of putting all the characters together into one piece. I can't wait to keep playing around with this book and doodling my days away!
