I really enjoyed reading this book. The characters were complex and relatable, and the addition of dogs made it even more fun. I liked the setting of the book, as well as the plot and storyline which I think was well written.

This is the second book in the "Low country Dog Walker Mystery Series. I have read the first in this charming series and highly recommend the series .. Thank you to the publisher and to Net Galley for the opportunity.
My review opinions are my own.

In this next in series we return to Andi Scott who has received a load of mulch from her Brother. When she finds a body under the mulch her Brother is suspect number one . In order to clear him she must investigate on her own and along the way finds more red herrings then answers.

I love the dog walker mysteries for of course the dog aspect but also for the well crafted enjoyable mystery and charcters. I look forward to the next in series.

I liked this book every bit as good as I did the first one! Either one of
them works fine as a stand-alone but wow, reading them both together
was amazing. There is a good amount of dog issues to make it a wonderful
mystery for dog lovers.

Thank you so much, NetGalley, Jackie Layton, and your publisher for giving
me the chance to read and review these wonderful mysteries!

Andi Grace is working hard with her friend Juliet to get their new businesses up and running. Andi inherited the property, and Juliet will run a B&B on it. Andi's brother Nate picked up some mulch for them and they were to meet him an a job site to get it.
Upon their arrival they found an injured Nate ...and a body. Andi being naturally nosy would have snooped anyway, but the fact her brother was arrested for the murder ramped up, really ramped up her snooping.
The ladies along with her brother, Andi's lawyer/best friend (boyfriend?) and the local police looked into every lead and checked into each suspect...and there were plenty. Andi was pretty sure she knew who-dun-nit, and had her suspicions confirmed when the killer came for her.
Suitable for all, no sex or gore, but plenty of clues, red herrings and humor, with a bit of sweet romance to round it out. I really enjoyed it and plan to get the one I missed.
I requested and received a NetGalley to peruse and offer my opinion gratis.

While getting mulch for the garden at their new B&B, Andi Grace and her friend Juliet discover the body of a friend's husband, buried in the mulch. Andi Grace's brother Nate becomes the number one suspect however, Andi Grace is determined to find the real killer...even if it means risking her life!

I liked this book and the character of Andi Grace. She's a mature and calm presence in the book. Her positive outlook and Christian faith keeps her motivated to find out who murdered Corey. Juliet, her best friend, has a crush on Nate and is her partner in sleuthing.

This was the first book, in the series, I've read and I'm going to read the first two.!

I received an ARC from NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are my own.

Enjoyable with pleasant characters. Not a cozy with eccentric characters. All the relationships are plausible as is the ending although any of the suspects could have done this guy in

Dog-Gone Dead by Jackie Layton is a solid addition to the Low Country Dog Walker cozy mystery series. Andi Grace and her friend Juliet find a body in the landscaping mulch and her brother Nate suffering from a concussion after a violent attack. When Nate is accused of the murder, Andi Grace takes matters into her own hands and starts to investigate.

I really enjoyed the coastal setting and the strong family/friend relationships, as well as the interactions with the dogs. The Christian faith of the author definitely comes through in the storyline. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy and all opinions are my own.

I haven't read book one in this series and I did feel as if it would have helped me to understand some of the things that were referenced when Andi Grace was talking about the plantation. At times I felt as if there was too much assumption made on the author's part that the reader would know who the characters were and where they fit in. I was sometimes confused. Some clarification would have helped. The story line about the murder was fine, if a bit too predictable.

This is the 2nd installment of the Low Country Dog Walker Mystery series. In this installment Andi Grace and her best friend Juliet are getting ready to open their B&B and agree to meet her Andi Grace's brother Nate at his landscaping job to pick up some mulch. Instead the girls find the dead body of Corey her friend Erin's husband. Her brother Nate's tools did the deed and he was knocked out with a shovel nearby. This is a good solid mystery with good and kind-hearted characters. Andi Grace's commitment to her family and friends is amazing and she does investigating but it is not over the top. I really enjoyed this book as well as the first one in the series. The mystery is good and I was surprised by who did it. Looking forward to the next installment.

Dog-Gone Dead is dog-gone good. An enjoyable series with likeable characters, nice setting and the ending was a bit of a surprise.. I especially like the family dynamics and supportive friendships. I have not read the first book in the series but it only took a little bit to feel caught up so this could easily be read as a stand alone.

Thanks to Bell Bridge Books and NetGalley for an ARC. The opinions expressed are my own.

I enjoyed the book even if the mystery wasn’t that exciting more of a Peyton Place kind of story. I did enjoy the characters and the smalltown feel. I loved how Andi Grace and her friends try to solve the mystery of Colby’s death. Everyone knows Nate didn’t do it.
Set in North Carolina, Andi Grace and her friend Juliette are about to open a B & B. Colby is found dead at the Plantation where Nate, Andi Grace’s brother, has also been attached. Nate becomes the prime suspect.

I was given an advanced copy of this book by Netgalley and am not required to leave a positive review.

Fun story, very clean. Killer was a surprise to me at the end. I love when characters are flawed and have issues. Not everyone has a wonderful childhood, a lot of people struggle and it's refreshing to read about characters who have come through on the other side.

I love cozy mysteries. Dog-Gone Dead is one of the best I've read. Andi Grace is a delightful, determined young woman who wants her brother freed. She snoops in all the wrong places and gets herself in trouble with the local police. As she solves this murder mystery she and her sweet dog will endear themselves to you. Just as they did me. And you just might find a bit of romance. I love the setting. Makes me want to head to the beach. I haven't read book one of the series, but I have it downloaded on my Kindle and ready to be read. If you enjoy clean, cozy mysteries, you'll love this book. Take this one on vacation! I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

I received this ARC via Netgalley and Belle Books, Inc, in return for an honest review. This is the second book in this series. The protagonist, Andi-Grace, is opening a new B&B. While working on the landscaping, she and her best friend, Juliette, arrange to meet Andi-Grace’s brother, Nate, for some mulch at a local historic plantation. But they arrive on site to discover a body buried under a pile of mulch and Nate stumbling out of the woods and suffering from a concussion. When Nate becomes the prime suspect for the murder, Andi-Grace decides to find the murderer, while preparing the new B&B to open, as well as continuing her dog walking service and deepening a personal relationship with her friend and attorney, Marc Williams.
The story is a solid cozy. The characters are engaging, and the relationships build well. Some things would be easier with having read the first book before reading this one. For example, it’s the end of Chapter 5 where we learn that Andi-Grace inherited a plantation that she plans to open as a B&B. While these don’t detract from the story, there’s an expectation of background awareness for some of the story components.

Dog-Gone Dead is a wonderful addition to the Low Country Dog Walker Christian cozy mystery series with likable characters and an interesting cozy mystery! In this 2nd book in the series, Andi Grace and her friend Juliette are finishing some projects for the grand opening of the B&B. They get some mulch from Andi Grace's brother Nate, who has a landscaping business. What they didn't expect, to find is a body buried in the mulch which makes Nate the prime suspect. Andi Grace needs to clear his name and find another suspect for the police to focus on. This is an enjoyable Christian cozy mystery!

I couldn’t put this book down!
I love dogs, and Andi-Grace is such a great character, that it was very easy to lose myself in this story.
When Andi-Grace stumbled upon a dead body, the last thing she expected was for her brother to become the prime suspect.
Nothing will stop her from asking questions, her family means everything to her, so leaving it up to the police is not an option.

I can’t wait to see what happens next to this cast of quirky, colorful characters.
