I picked this one up on a whim, and OMG! I loved it so-so much!
Fangs is a super fun and heart-warming romance between a vampire and a werewolf. It was exactly the thing I needed in these awful times the world is going through right now. It was really funny, I smiled and laughed a lot, and it was incredibly cute as well.

"- Vamp, have you ever been cheated on?
- Mmm, yes.
- What did you do?
- With his body?"

Thank you, NetGalley and the publisher for the chance to read this comic!

Rating: 3.5 stars

I'm a massive fan of Sarah Andersen's "Sarah's Scribbles" books so when I saw this was available to read now I instantly downloaded. I loved the premise, a graphic novel all about a vampire & werewolf falling in love, but I didn't really click with this. I think my main issue was that this wasn't in any sort of order, each page was just a small snippet out of the main characters' lives and I didn't like how it jumped around so much. I did find myself laughing throughout as this had typical Sarah Andersen humour!

Overall, if you like weird but humorous comics, I would recommend checking this one out!

Need a quick, easy read that simultaneously appeals to your gothic aesthetic while helping your dead heart feel something again?

Are you also a fan of cheesy jokes that lean into vampire and werewolf stereotypes in the form of clean, beautifully drawn comics?

Look no further than Fangs!, a compilation of comic vignettes that features peaks into the life of a vampire who definitely shops from Hot Topic in love with a lumberjack werewolf who proudly is a good boy.

This graphic novel can be read in one sitting and only requires one brain cell to appreciate pretty pictures about a fluffy, blessedly undramatic, chill slice-of-life romance.

Fans of Sarah's Scribbles will definitely enjoy this new project by the same author.

I've seen some of this comic online and absolutely love it. I want more and I didn't want it to end. I hope Sarah makes more!

A vampire-meets-werewolf romance from the creator of Sarah's Scribbles. Andersen's style here is far less manic and cutesy than there, but it's still not exactly Love Like Blood; though they do build to an a very sweet whole, the pages each also work as a vignette or gag strip, relationship vignettes filtered through her being centuries old and him prone to howling at the moon. Sufficiently adorable that if it does become a default present in goth couples, that won't be undeserved.

While this collection is not comparable to the showstopping Sarah Scribbles collection, I found it charming and corny. Definitely a fun way to spend 15 minutes.

Decided to download this one off of NetGalley on a whim and I am SO GLAD that I did. This was so stinking cute and it warmed the heck out of my heart. If you're looking for a super fun romance between a VAMPIRE and a WEREWOLF, look no further. This was absolutely adorable.

As soon as I heard Sarah Anderson was coming out with something new I wanted to get my hands on it. Fangs is her typical short comic format, but this time we're following a vampire and werewolf as they begin and grow their relationship. Many of the comics had the perfect combination of humor and heartfelt sentiments as they navigate their life together. There were as many moments that made me laugh as there were moments that made me say "awwwwww." This is a great addition to her collection of works and I look forward to seeing more from her in the future.

This is cute! I said last week that I wanted to read more werewolf comics. Then this showed up as Read Now on Netgalley! I don’t say no to serendipity. This is less a full-fledged narrative and more a series of unrelated/funny panels about a vampire/werewolf relationship. Very punny and lots of humor related to vampire/werewolf lore (jokes related to silver, coffin, thirst for blood, doggish behavior, disappearance in a mirror, etc). The art style isn’t super complex (it’s not as detailed as, say, THE TEA DRAGON SOCIETY) but it suits the humor. I’d describe it as black and white illustrations with sparse, clean lines (see the cover).

Fangs is odd and funny. It tells the story of love between a vampire and a werewolf. The black and white drawings and sparse dialogue seem simple but the underlying relationship themes are complex. Teens will enjoy this book. It's sure to spark the Team Edward/Team Jacob debate all over again.

I am a huge fan of Sarah Scribbles so when I saw that Andersen was making a new comic about a vampire and wolf I was all over it. This comic was originally released on Tapas, a free webcomic site. So if you do want to continue following this work go check it out there.

I loved this comic. It shows the progression of the relationship between a vampire, Vamp, and a werewolf, Jimmy. I loved the art style of this comic. It was beautifully drawn and each panel is packed with a lot of emotion.

I couldn't git enough of these two! I really hope she continues to write Vamp and Jimmy’s story because I really enjoyed this. Also I think we need more paranormal daily life comics!

Fabulous. Funny. Sweet. It made me laugh multiple times. It's a graphic novel about a vampire and a werewolf who are dating. Their relationship is presented through one-page humorous vignettes. Most of them are gold. Highly recommended.

This was a very fun read. Slightly dark but still hilarious.
It's more of a series of fragments from the life of these two than a coherently plotted story, and that's what let me down, just a little.
The art style is lovely and I really liked the characters, especially Elsie's sense of fashion.
Definitely recommend if you like all things paranormal.

Fangs is the adorable love story of a vampire and werewolf who begin dating. As Elsie (vampire) and Jimmy (werewolf) learn about their partner’s quirks and preferences, there is always a strong sense of underlying humor. I thought the art style fit the story tone well and honors the characters’ personalities nicely. I found Fangs to be very clever and relatable. Anyone with a penchant for vampires, werewolves, or simply a sweet love story will enjoy this funny compilation from the author of Sarah’s Scribbles. Thank you to Sarah Andersen, Andrews McMeel Publishing, and Netgalley for a free ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Penned by Sarah Andersen, the artist behind the popular SARAH'S SCRIBBLES, FANGS is the story of a three-hundred-year old vampire in the body of a 26-year-old goth girl who falls in love with a charming werewolf she meets at a bar one night. As such, there is more of a narrative thread than in the SARAH'S SCRIBBLES collections, but the comics are still very much situational vignettes. The two works have Andersen's signature humor and wholesomeness and a lack of coloring in common, but that's about it: FANGS is a little more PG-13, there is less social awkwardness, and the art style is less cartoonish, with a slight manga quality.

Most of the humor and sweetness is due to how Andersen plays different vampire and werewolf myths against each other, exploring how that would impact dating life, as well as how the two characters, Elsie and Jimmy, handle their differences. It's silly, lighthearted, amusing, cute, and just plain fun—I personally prefer the semi-autobiographical SARAH'S SCRIBBLES, but these can be just as relatable and tender: FANGS essentially consists of twisty little romantic comedy portraits about two people who are great for each other despite their fundamental differences.

Read this book in one sitting. This book was fun and cute to read. Loved the puns and the humor between a vampire and a werewolf dating. I did find it very short and wanted more. I would love it if it were a linear story rather than snippets.
