I really loved The Butterfly Room, This is the first Lucinda Riley book I've read and wont be the last. Great cover. Would make a nice holiday read. Thank you Netgalley for allowing me to review it. 5 stars.

An outstanding multi generational read that has it all. The ups and downs, the love and loss, secrets and outright lies. Posy and her family certainly seem to have it all. The ancestral home, the loving children and grandchildren, but at the heart of that beautiful, crumbling mess of mansion is a terrible secret, one that had the power to tear lovers apart. Her children may seem to have it together, but their lives are anything but. It's interesting and intriguing and I definitely shed a tear. The storyline wad fascinating from beginning to end and no one's life was left untouched by fate and the whims of the talented author. Another great read by Lucinda Riley.

It's been a long time since I last looked forward to settling down to read a novel at the end of the day. The Butterfly Room did it for me.

This book has everything in it - mystery (a few of them plus a murder!), romance, family drama, social issues, wonderful settings, history. The characters are great too...you care about what happens to them. You feel angry towards the ones who are not behaving!

I look forward to reading more books by this new-to-me author.

Content: Not entirely clean.

Thank you Netgalley and Blue Box Press for this ARC. This is my honest opinion.

This is such a beautifully written historic love story! I loved it and read it in one sitting. A well written second chance romance, with a good plot. Love the characters and their development.

The world building is amazing and comes to life while you read it. I didn't know it would be such a tear jerker but I still couldn't put it down.

Set in alternating era, it has everything a good book should have. I found it quite engrossing. The mystery, the romance, the tale of loss, friendship, family and secrets and the beautiful setting of the Bodmin Moors.

Will recommend it to all. Thank you NetGalley and Blue Box Press for an advance review copy in exchange for my honest review.

The Butterfly Room is a well written romance. Good plot and character development. A nice second chance at romance story of two senior adults. I highly recommend this book. I received an arc from the publisher and this is my unbiased review.

Well, she has done it again, a big book with a big heart, filled with wonderful characters, stunning surroundings. Nothing but a joy to read.

Of course you will still need a box of tissues to hand as her trademark relationships are never plain sailing and this book proved to be a real tear jerker towards the end but having read all her other books I was prepared this time around. Not that I saw what was coming, just that I knew I would no doubt be shedding a tear or two at some point!

This is another all nighter of a book as well, I read straight through the night as there was no point in the book that I could put the story down for the night so be prepared to be completely consumed start to finish. The cast of characters are wonderfully written as is the setting of Admiral House where you can see in your minds eye the house and the gardens, even with my very limited knowledge of plants it was easy to envision as they are being described making the whole book a pleasure and easy to read.

Set on a dual time line between the 1940s and 2006 it follows the life of Posy Montague from her childhood to her seventieth birthday it is a tale of love, loss, secrets, friendship and family that is impossible not to love.

Now having finished this book in one sitting I will have to wait until the end of October for her next book!

I absolutely loved this book. I picked it up and sped through the 624 pages which slipped by effortlessly as I became engrossed in the story of Posy and her family. It was everything that I love in a book ... great plot, characters that you feel you know, mystery and romance. Coupled with the wonderful settings of Southwold and Bodmin Moor, it was simply brilliant. I wish I could award it more than five stars.
