A well written, complex psychological thriller.
Some characters were likeable and others weren’t.
There are some great twists.
A real page turner

The New Girlfriend by Sheryl Browne Narrated by: Katie Villa; was a very good book which would make a great holiday read. With all of Sheryl's books I have read I have been hooked from the beginning till the very end and they are so addictive! a real page turner with so many twists and turn's throughout that you will need to keep your eye on the ball.

I highly recommend The new girlfriend. I loved it.

I read this in one sitting. Positively gripping! I didn't predict the ending at all -- I'll definitely read more of Sheryl Browne's books after this one.

This book had a lot of potential. Started off really good then it became predictable and parts a bit silly. The characters were not very likeable. Saying that I did finish it and read it pretty quickly.

Don’t be fooled by the title and think this is a rom-com story - this is a twisty psychological read. There is a mix of likeable and unlikeable characters which really adds to the tensions. I found that it was quite easy to read but in places quite predictable which was a shame.

Cassie's son, Josh had died a few months ago. Now a stranger is standing on her doorstep claiming she had been Josh's girlfriend and the baby she is holding is Cassie's grandson. Cassie is also receiving messages from someone from her past - someone Cassie has been hiding from for a long time. Cassie is frightened that her biggest secret is about to be revealed and that she will loose everything. As the messages get more sinister, Cassie realised that the person behind them knows all about her life.

What a thrilling roller coaster read this book is. I couldn't turn the pages quick enough and I couldn't put this book down.

This was a nice, easy flowing, thriller! It was my first book by Sheryl Browne, and I look forward to reading more by her. The ending was a nice shock and one I certainly didn’t predict.

Cassie is devastated when she loses her only son, Josh. However, she is shocked when a random woman appears on her doorstep, claiming to be Josh's girlfriend. The shocking part? The woman, Kim, has a baby with her, and she is insistent that the baby is Josh's child. Cassie is overwrought with emotion. While she is thrilled to have a piece of Josh left behind in the form of her first grandchild, she is also suspicious. Why did Cassie never know about this girlfriend of Josh's? Surely he would have told her if he was expecting a child?

Although she has doubts, Cassie soon becomes close with Kim and baby Samuel, helping to support them as needed. However, she soon begins to receive threatening messages. Cassie has a secret from her past, a secret that she is determined to keep hidden. Yet it seems that someone else has become aware of this secret......and would like nothing better to expose Cassie.

Is Kim the innocent victim here, or is she playing a more nefarious role in the situation? Cassie must find out in order to protect herself and her grandson, before it is too late.

Love Sheryl Browne! I discovered her a few months back, and her books always have me hooked from page one. I highly recommend this novel, and am thankful to NetGalley for providing me with this ARC.

I wanted to love this book and definitely enjoyed it, but there was something missing for me. I didn't get gripped as I normally do with thrillers, however I did like the twists and turns. Will definitely read more from this author.

The characters were very well developed and the pacing was fantastic. I really enjoyed this novel. I think that Sheryl Brown is a very talented author and would definitely read other novels from her.

I very much enjoyed this book, it was both emotional and thrilling at the same time.
Cassie’s beloved son Josh is killed by a train after falling onto a railway line. We as the reader know he didn’t fall however, but have no idea what happened. Cassie is distraught, as is Josh’s stepdad Adam. Then along comes Kim, and Josh’s baby son Samuel, who Cassie had no idea even exhausted.
From then on, it’s a roller coaster and I suspected each character in turn! I did finally work out what had happened - almost - but the last twist had me reeling. Another fabulous book by Sheryl Browne, can’t wait for the next one!

This was not quite what I expected but it was a fun quick read and I would recommend - well written, good characters and I would read more books by Sheryl.

I LOVED this book. I finished it in under a day because I was hooked and I needed to know what would happen next. The only part I thought could've been improved on was Cassie and Adam's finding out the truth about Kim. It felt like they were so blind to not see what was in front of them...but then suddenly Cassie had her AHA moment out of nowhere.

Overall, this was so well written and well executed. I'll definitely check out the author's future works!

I found this book a little disappointing- I found the plot rather predictable and I wasn't too keen on the characters. I am looking forward to reading more from this author, as I have enjoyed her other books.

Enjoyed this one. I felt like there was something missing though, something I needexd to love it. Well thought out plot and easy to read.

A psychological thriller with a really gripping premise, this book started out strong but petered off for me as the book progressed. I still would recommend giving this a go however because I thought Browne had a great writing style that made this a page turner.

Absolutely love this author's books and this one certainly didn't disappoint. I was hooked from the very first page and read it in one sitting this story had so many twists and turns and really kerosene reader on their toes. This was a perfect domestic psychological thriller and would make for an amazing tv drama. It was very tense and an i intriguing read wanting to know more with each turn off the page and everything isn't as it immediately seems.
