Really interesting look into how to work with a specific handful of crystals and using them with chakras, karma, astrological signs, and a few other instances. While this can be read by a beginner to crystals, it is not the best book to get started with, as the techniques and methods go rather in deep, and seem geared more towards people who already work with crystals, and this is a book allowing them to span their healing work in a vaster net using various methodologies. Still, it contains a wealth of information about the specific crystals the author chose for this book, as well very in-depth looks at laws of karma and the work of the chakras, among other things

This is not an all-purpose crystal guide. As the subtitle states, it focuses on specific crystals but also their use with chakra work and more. My favorite element of this particular book are the chapters about combining crystals with herbs.
FYI: I received a pre-pub copy of this book from Netgalley. Finished work may have an index but this copy did not and that's a huge failing for me. Llewellyn is my favorite publisher for metaphysical titles and their 1991 publication, "Cunningham's Encyclopedia of Crystal, Gem, & Metal Magic" is my favorite guide to crystals. However, I'm constantly looking for an updated, better illustrated guide. "Crystal Power" (the version from Netgalley, anyway) doesn't have any illustrations.

This is a great book on the healing properties of crystals. I like that it chose to focus on 12 instead of all the crystals. This is a book every avid crystal collector should have.

I found Crystal Power by Kac young a pleasure to read. Her unique take on crystals and how to work with them inspired me to look at my on work with stones in a new way and was very instructive.
I loved the case studies from her own practice. They showed the power of her work and backed up her methods. Her introduction to crystal use was easy to follow for the crystal newbie and I found the fact she focused on 12 main crystals accessible and refreshing. For the experience crystal user working with just 12 was a great way to connect with your pieces and deep dive. The various crystal correspondences she brought forward were very interesting. I especially loved the laws of karma and will absolutely incorporate them in my personal practice.
I highly recommend this book if you are a beginner or an experienced crystal lover. Kac young is very knowledgeable and is able to really connect with the reader, making this a very special read.

I highly recommend this wonderful book for all who want to learn more about Crystals and how to use them in a practice and for healing. The author has a beautiful presentation that is enjoyable to read and introduces us to 12 particular crystals that are the most popular. Most of us have these same crystals in our practice but do not know all we should to utilize our crystal practice. This is a outstanding work for all to learn from and enjoy about the many practices with crystals. The format is sensible and the information here is easily understood by both beginners and experienced crystal practitioners.

A lovely book on crystal healing and purposes. This is a great introduction book to using crystals. I liked that this focused on a core 12 and dived into them deeper. I. liked the guidance on how to set up the ceremonies! love this little book and find it very useful. Time to buy some new crystals!

I love rocks and all geology associated with them. Just holding a beautiful rock makes me feel better. They just seem magical. After reading this I understood more about what is behind using crystals for healing and an overall better life. The 12 stones named are fully described. They arent hard to find, most all rock stores or online retailers have them Ive discovered. The Goddesses associated with each are named and more info about the metaphysical traits are given. This was the part I found the most interesting as Ive never associated a crystal with a diety. Finally, an example of how to do a crystal healing session is given with some cases Ms Young has had . Overall this book is very well written and fun to read. I want to try this as Ivee heard about crystal healing but never had an experience. Rocks and crystals are beautiful things, If you are interested in them like I am then I think this book will give you ideas and information that can help you heal.
