This was a super quick read. I am not sure what I was looking for but I didn't get it with this book. Maybe I am not ready for cheesy dialog and an ending that felt out of left field. I thank this book though for getting me through Election day. It has been a long time since I read an entire book in one day.

Thank you Netgalley for an e-arc of this book in exchange for an honest review. It was not bad just simplistic.

This was like reading a cute holiday movie :)
Super cute YA holiday read. The main character talks about how she wants holiday magic like in a Hallmark movie. This book is perfect for holiday movie fans like me. I don’t want to give any spoilers since there are two potential love interests, so I’ll just say I love the cute love story, I definitely recommend this book if you are looking for a light and entertaining holiday read.

ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS is a fun Young Adult standalone Christmas-themed teen romance by Wendy Loggia. I normally don’t read YA romance, but this description caught my interest. Bailey Briggs is a teenage girl who loves Christmas and is hoping for some holiday magic and a Christmas kiss to top things off. Bailey is hopeful without coming across as being too “Pollyanna” or sickeningly saccharine. She ends up, quite unintentionally, caught between warm and fuzzy feelings for two boys – Jacob Marley and the mysterious Charlie Travers. The story follows Bailey as she engages in a multitude of holiday cheer and flexes her dating muscles. This is a great story for any romance reader who is looking for an entertaining Christmas-themed story.

Jacob Marley is a popular jock and not normally in Bailey’s circle of friends. When he shows up one day at the bookshop she works at, he wiggles his way into her thoughts. It’s not immediately apparent to Bailey that Jacob is into her and she kind of dismisses him – albeit in a nice way. Like some kind of guardian angel with a hot British accent, Charlie Travers intervenes a few times and saves Bailey from one disaster or another. Charlie is something of an enigma and seemingly like Mary Poppins and “practically perfect in every way”. As she pines for Charlie, Bailey hangs out with, and gets to know, Jacob better. Like Bailey, I find that Jacob grows on me as the story progresses. Theirs is plenty of romantic tension and some sparks as the feelings between Bailey and Jacob get more intense. Because this story is told exclusively from Bailey’s perspective, you can’t help but be sympathetic to her and unsure about the boys that fall into her life. Bailey’s quirky friends Phoebe, Mellie, and Caitlin pop up throughout ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS – to offer Bailey advice, provide colorful commentary, or to just offer her a diverting distraction.

ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS is everything you want in a light yet satisfying Christmas tale, with great characters and a splash of romance. The banter between the main characters and the quick-witted quips are part of what made this book great. I like how Bailey’s family was generally supportive but stayed relatively in the background. There were no meddlers in Bailey’s Although YA isn’t usually my regularly read romance sub-genre, I really enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more from Wendy Loggia.

This was a cute Christmas story! It was entertaining and easy enough to read in one sitting.
I would definitely classify it as YA - it's got juvenile themes for sure - but it'll get anyone in the mood for the Holidays!

If anyone is looking for a Hallmark movie in book form, this is it. I found the story light and sweet, yet predictable and lacking character depth. However, maybe being simply light and sweet was just the goal. From the way this book was written, I have a feeling that this book was just meant to be a light Christmas read for anyone looking for a holiday season pick-me-up. The lack of depth did make it harder for me to get through the book, it took a lot longer for me to read the book than it normally would.

I found the characters fun and relatable. The writing was beautiful and genuinely did bring the magic of Christmas to the page.

I did not like the end of the book and the way the love triangle was handled. I normally don't like love triangles though, so take that with a grain of salt.

This is a sweet Christmas romance I would recommend to anyone looking for a light and fun read, not anything too deep or complicated.

I ended up dnf'ing this. The writing was bad and the main character was pretentious and snooty. She was the all for Christmas type that can't understand why others aren't obsessed. She helps a guy find Christmas presents and then gets all angry when he forgot his wallet and makes snide remarks at him.

This book took me longer than I had expected to finish and the ending was super unsatisfying.

I don’t like love-triangles but I also don’t hate them so I wasn’t too bothered by the plot even thought it wasn’t that great. But I was very bothered by how the love-triangle was resolved. It felt like such a cop-out.

Bailey wasn’t even that interesting and she was a hypocrite getting upset with Jacob after seeing him with girls at the mall while she kept going out with another guy hoping to be a date.

I wish I had saved my time and read something else because it felt very juvenile.

Christmas isn’t far off. It seems like just as the clock struck midnight on November 1st that a majority of my friends swapped their witches hats for elf ears, and the holiday cheer has been full speed ahead since. I myself have uncharacteristically excited for the holidays, which led me to request this cute little YA Romance.

Bailey is the epitome of holiday cheer. Working in a bookstore and volunteer gift wrapper, she’s ready to embrace customers who need help finding the perfect bookish gifts. She meets Jacob, who enlists her help, but then doesn’t have any money which leaves a bad taste in Bailey’s mouth. Add to that another more mysterious guy that catches her eye, and Bailey has her hands full with boy trouble.

This was a cute story and really easy to read. I liked Bailey. I wish I had two boys fighting for my attention lol. After reading about her drama I’m glad I’m not in high school anymore. Pick this up if you’re looking for some Christmas cheer to jump start your holiday season!

This is a decent holiday romance, but readers should be aware that it is extremely light on character depth and it's very predictable. It's a Hallmark Movie in book form, but with even less complexity.

Bailey is a Christmas fan, you name any Christmas’s thing, she does it, baking, decorating, Secret Santa, the only thing she doesn’t do is kiss under the mistletoe; no because she doesn’t want to, actually, the opposite, it would be the best gift, her Christmas wish.
When Jacob, the joker, funny and hot guy from school appears, she becomes hesitant about him being his Christmas’s miracle, but when Charlie, the cute, British guy also shows up in a moment of need, she will start wrecking her head about both guys.
Which one of them is her Christmas’s wish?

This book is too cute to be true. I loved every character, they were very relatable, well presented and sweet as h*ll.
I would have loved for the author to develop the story a little more, but for a light, lovely holiday read, this book is the perfect one

This book was a mixed bag for me (mixed toy sack? Too much?)

Pros: It captures all the Christmas magic I'd hoped it would. The author has a phenomenal way of crafting holiday visuals and there were several times I was tempted to set the book down and go make a cup of hot chocolate to enjoy with it, just to capture a little of the sparkle for myself. I loved Bailey's family dynamic and how she was written like an actual teenager.

That's where my cons come into place though. For as solid as this story started, it really lost me in the last 30 pages or so. I get that it's going for the 'suspend your disbelief Hallmark-movie' feel (and trust me, I'm a rabid fan of those movies... #notashamed), but the story up until the big twist at the end had felt so grounded. It made how the love triangle resolved between Charlie, Jacob, and Bailey slightly disappointing, predictable choice or not. I definitely get the vibe it was going for, but I'm not sure it stuck the landing.

My issues with the ending aside, this was a fun and easy read that definitely got me in the holiday spirit! If you're a fan of a holiday romance with a fair share of warm and gooey cheese, this will definitely hit the spot!

3.5 Hearts First things first… If you are a 50 year old woman this is not the book for you! This should fall under the young adult read and it is reeeeally young.

But that being said I did read it and gave it an extra half star because I tried to put myself into the young category and how a teen would enjoy it. And I think they would like it and relate to it.

The characters were very stereotypical of high school/college kids so I am not sure that is exactly how the world is but I think they would find the (obnoxious) behavior familiar.

A young adult would probably enjoy this story very much.

This book was pitched as a Hallmark movie in book form, it delivered, and that's great.

Except for the part where, for the most part, I hate Hallmark movies.

Bailey loves Christmas. In fact, you could say that she's obsessed with it. Everything from the holiday cheer to the ugly sweaters brings her joy, but what she really wants in her life is Christmas magic, specifically, the enchantment of love, and a kiss under the mistletoe.

I love rom-coms as much as the next hopeless romantic (probably even more), but this book is where I draw the line. From the very beginning, the main character, Bailey, is made out to be a total Mary Sue. She loves spreading holiday cheer, is totally responsible, and always has good intentions. There is no depth to her character at all, and no development over the course of the story. That is just a small thing, however, which I can easily ignore. My biggest issue with this book stems from the romance itself, or should I say, the love-triangle.

I strongly dislike love-triangles. I went into this book expecting a cute, holiday-themed romance, where instead, I got Bailey trying to decide "which boy she should pick". What made everything much worse for me was the way in which the love-triangle was "resolved". It was really unsatisfying and made me feel like I had wasted my time.

Overall, I would recommend this book to others who would rather read a Hallmark movie than watch it.

4.5/5 stars

This book is the perfect cheesy (in the best way) holiday rom com. Wendy Loggia did an amazing job writing this.

Bailey is an amazing lead. I think she is really relatable. I love that she works in a book store, and loves to read. I think that makes her really appealing to people that will read the book. Her passion for Christmas is absolutely adorable, and I love seeing a character that is not ashamed of who they are. We saw an extremely healthy relationship between Bailey and her family members. This is always refreshing to me when reading Young Adult. The only thing that really bothered me about Bailey is that she is extremely judgmental. And twice she was dragging down other girls. I like to think this isn't Bailey and the author was maybe trying to create unnecessary conflict. However, it was uncomfortable to read the parts when the girls were unnecessarily mean. Especially when it had no purpose for the story.

Overall this book is really good, and while I kind of saw where the ending was going I still really loved it!

This was cute and fun. It read exactly like a Hallmark Christmas movie. I think that was the intention and it delivered. It was a fast read that gave you those warm holiday feelings.

The characters aren’t particularly deep, but in that tv movie way. And it was kind of predictable, but I didn’t really mind. It had some holiday magic which I appreciate in my cHristmas stories.

I would definitely recommend this if you like made-for-tv movies. It’s an enjoyable way to spend a couple of hours.

This was a short Christmas romance, perfect for those who enjoy the Hallmark Christmas movies. It was a bit cheesy for my taste but was light and quick. Thank you to Netgalley for this free ebook in exchange for an honest review.

ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS is the CUTEST Christmas book I’ve ever read. It’s also my first of the season so HOORAY for that! Anyway, this book seems to be geared for the young adult crowd and I agree BUT I think a YOUNGER bunch in the group would be the best fit for this one. It’s very cutsie, cozy, and sweet. If I had to describe the perfect age range this novel, I would actually say 12-14. So maybe it’s more middle grade than anything. IDK! It’s hard to say because the characters are older in the story but it’s also a very PURE if you get my drift. No sex, maybe two scenes with kissing, and that’s it. Regardless of the age range, I really enjoyed this one. I am a big Christmas lover, and this book had the best descriptions of Christmas and all the traditions that go with it throughout the novel. You can’t read this one without getting a few Christmas tunes stuck in your head. And the COOKIES they talk about? Made me drool! I enjoyed it a lot.

If you enjoy reading Holiday themed novels in the months leading up to Christmas, then I do recommend this one even though it’s on the sweeter side. Sometimes you just need a book that isn’t all about sex and relationships, and instead, one that really depicts sweet kids doing the nicest things out of the goodness of their hearts, and POSSIBLY falling in love in the process.
