Jayne Krentz did not disappoint her readers with this novel. I highly recommend this to readers of romance/mystery.

I mean, it's Jayne Ann Krentz... does she really need me to write a review? Of course it was amazing and so well written. Of course I read it in one sitting. It's one of the Queens of romance. How could you not love her?

Jayne Ann Krentz has another winner with All the Colors of Night. This is the second in the series Fogg Lake. As usual Krentz has created a supernatural world that holds the reader’s attention and wanting to know what artifact North and Sierra (the main characters) will discover to help North’s father recover. What is the artifact? What is its story? Krentz weaves a story that will hold your attention from beginning to end. Recommend this book for lovers of mystery and intrigue.

Veronica – ☆☆☆☆
ALL THE COLORS OF NIGHT is the second book in the Fogg Lake series. I don’t often read paranormal stories, but this series has me hooked. This story follows North Chastain, who is losing his powers, as he searches for an artifact, a potential weapon, that has left his father fighting for life. He gets help from Sierra Raines to help him track down the artifact.

This story has plenty of mystery and action and North and Sierra go from one dangerous situation to another as they try to track down the artifact, which seems to have been created by North’s grandfather. Once North and Sierra met, this story went from one thrilling scene to another. There was never a dull moment, which I loved. And along with the excitement of life in the paranormal world, we have a romance bubbling along nicely in the background.

ALL THE COLORS OF NIGHT was thoroughly entertaining and even for a non-paranormal book lover like me, the story was easy to follow and engaging. If you are interested in ALL THE COLORS OF NIGHT, I’d recommend you read book one, THE VANISHING first. This is a really good series and I’d definitely recommend it.

The third book in the Fogg Lake series proves that Jayne Ann Krentz gets better with every book she writes. ALL THE COLORS OF THE NIGHT melds together suspense with the supernatural in a way that is real and engrossing. Then you add in a hint of romance to make this a fabulous read.

In book two of Jayne’s Fogg Lake trilogy readers will meet and fall in love with both Sierra and North, Sierra because she’s the ultimate unsinkable spirit, not afraid to step into danger or take a new course for her life and North because he’s reliable, good hearted and loyal, they’ll also get a look at some new exciting characters and catch up with old pals from book one. In customary JAK style readers will get up close and personal with all kinds of interesting paranormal people, places and devices as she weaves her innovative storyline and brings her audience ever closer to the culmination of the tale all while entertaining readers and keeping them up way past their bed time. Fans of this author, fantasy or PR genre will have a hard time putting this one down. Trilogy should not be read out of order.
North Chastain is a powerful psychic tracker which makes him perfect for being a cleaner for the mysterious organization in charge of safeguarding the psychic community and getting rid of the bad apples, The Foundation. He’s also losing his talent, going psi-blind so when his father is almost killed by a hot weaponized artifact he needs help fast because he’s convinced that the relic not only came from the infamous Fogg Lake lab but belonged to his Grandfather who was accused of being a traitor, an accusation North never believed.
After a reputation ruining lie, antiques expert, Sierra Raines turns a new leaf and becomes a go-between for hot artifacts, after all she’s got a good amount of psychic talent herself. She’s down but not out and is up for a challenge so when a big shot cleaner for the Foundation hires her to follow the psychic trail to some dangerous artifacts it ultimately leads them to the defunct Bluestone Project labs hidden in the caves of Fogg Lake.

Ahh!! This is such a fantastic continuation of the Fogg Lake series. The plot was had a great pace, there were several twists that I didn't see coming, and I am loving the paranormal twist. I love that we get a deeper insight into our MCs in this one as well as seeing them interact with their respective partners. I can't wait to see what else is next for this series.

This was my first book from Jayne Ann Krentz, and unfortunately I think I did the book a disservice by jumping in here! I enjoyed the writing of the bit I read, but I plan to go read the first book in the series before I finish. DNF for now.

Krentz's second installment to her Fogg Lake series continues the intrigue and unspooling conspiracies that surround the secret government lab that was located in Fogg Lake. This volume follows Sierra and North as they seek the truth behind the devices that were being created in the Fogg Lake lab while hoping they might provide a cure for the mysterious state North's father has been left in following an attack. Fans of Krentz will enjoy her usual rapid pacing and building romantic tension throughout this book.

Two psychics, North and Sierra, working together to bring back North's dad from a coma-like state. I really like the suspense and the action.

A decently enjoyable tale, but to be honest...there were many elements that seemed familiar to me from other Krentz books. I do appreciate the access, though. Thank you.

All the Colors of the Night is a complex book, part sci-fi, part murder mystery and part romance.

When North Chastain fears he is losing his psychic vision and may be going made, he learns his father has been attacked by some sort of psychic weapon and he needs to find the machine, he is paired with Sierra, another psychic, who can channel light energy through glass and mirrors.

As the two work to discover the would-be killer, they also find that North isn’t losing his powers but is being poisoned. Their trek takes them to museums, an insane asylum, and a spooky set of caves that emit mysterious psychic energy. And as they travel, the attraction between them grows. But they are racing against the clock to save North’s father, discover who is poisoning North himself and how the director of the asylum is involved I liked Sierra. She was pragmatic but kind, confident in her abilities and willing to use them for good. North was a little harder to like, coming off as having a one-track mind, until they discover the truth behind the loss of his abilities.

For anyone looking for a wild ride through psychic possibilities, this book is a must read. Be prepared to be drawn into a world where everyone you meet has some paranormal abilities, and where the mysteries of the past still involve the characters of today.

I enjoy everything this author writes. I enjoy the paranormal slant but like the characters and storyline even more. Characters from previous books make an appearance but the story centers on the two main characters. So you don’t need to read these in order. Enjoy the ride!

All the Colors of Night is the 2nd book in Fogg Lake trilogy by Jayne Ann Krentz.

Reader, be prepared for a journey into the darker side of Las Vegas. North Chastain has a paranormal talent that lets him track the most dangerous of psychic criminals. Sierra Raines has a paranormal talent of her own...finding valuable artifacts that the paranormal underworld desires. Together they will hunt for the artifact that caused his father to go into a paranormal coma. With time ticking and danger escalating, the journey will take them to the Fogg Lake which is surrounded by a mystery of it's own.

While this is the 2nd book in the trilogy, you can read this book as a stand alone. If you are new to Krenz books, I find that she always has a strong, independent female main character and a strong male main character who isn't afraid to let the female shine. Together they bring out the best in each other. As a fan of JAK, I love that there are elements from her Quick books that pop up in this one, giving the reader even more for the imagination to explore.

ll the Colors of Night starts with Sierra Raines finishing a drop-off gone wrong with a client. Sierra is a go-between, a middleman in the underground world of paranormal objects, currently working at the Vault. While Sierra has started to make a name for herself among the go-betweens in Seattle and is one of the best to authenticate relics, she is still trying to find her calling. That same night, but in Las Vegas, North Chastian, a cleaner for the Foundation, is trying to unwind in a local bar from a complete case, but his health condition is making it harder for him, North is going psy-blind. In the last couple of weeks, his visual abilities to see psychic energies have been diminishing and started to cause him hallucinations that may make him go mad if he doesn’t use the special glasses made for him at Halcyon Manor.

Instead of celebrating with the other cleaners, he goes home. North lives in the mansion of his grandfather, Griffin Chastian, who was a magician, psy-engineer, and a traitor. While North doesn’t fully sleep for fear of hallucinating, his power nap is interrupted when Victor Arganbright calls him back to work because the mission concerns his father, Chandler. During the retrieval of an artifact, Chandler was attacked and is now in a psychic coma. North packs a bag and leaves for Seattle to find out what happened to his father.

When time starts to run out for North and the Foundation with Chandler’s health debilitating, Victor pulls some strings with the Vault to get the best go-between to help North track the artifact that was used against his father. Sierra is that go-between and for a good commission, she will find that artifact.

I continue to like the Fogg Lake series; its theme of psychics and government agencies is a great combination. The characters of Sierra and North give us a new point of view to this strange world of psy-energy users and the different types of jobs that are out there. At the same time, reading how these two characters interact within the world was very fun starting with the deal gone wrong at the beginning and North pulling out an agency badge from time to time.

I liked North, his story of losing his visual abilities and going psy-blind was very interesting, and a little suspicious about how his illness started. His family history and connection to the Bluestone experiment was interesting for future books in the series, and the types of experiments his grandfather Griffin Chastian did with crystal light was a good addition to the types of powerful artifacts in this world. I liked North’s journey during the story and how he found his true calling after learning more about his grandfather’s work.

The psychic powers that Sierra wield were very exciting and her different types of abilities seem to be attributed to the explosion of the Fogg Lake labs that changed the place. Compared to Catalina in the previous book, Sierra has crystal light and energy manipulation, empathic powers and is good at finding hot artifacts saturated with paranormal energy. Reading about her search for the perfect job (after she was fired and accused of fraud in the auction house she used to work at) was a nice side storyline that paid well at the end with small hints here and there across the story.

Other characters that I liked were Sierra’s parents, Byron and Allegra Raines. While they are first introduced as hippies by other characters once we see them in action and saving Chandler’s life their perspective changes not only for the reader but to the other members of the Foundation. I liked how fast Victor took interest in them and even considers asking for their help in the future.

In All the Colors of Night, we get to see a couple of characters from the first book, Oliva LeClair, Victor and Lucas from the Foundation, and Harmony the Oracle of Fogg Lake. We also meet new characters such as Ambrose Jonas who is the owner of the Vault and has ties to Fogg Lake, but he is immersed in the underground world of artifacts trade. While they all help in some way in this story, we can see how author Jayne Ann Krentz is preparing the narrative for future book encounters for these characters. The last pages of this book hint at what awaits Olivia in her own journey.

While there were many villains in this story that were mostly crazy or delusional, there is one person that keeps working in the background, Gwendolyn Swan and her sister. Gwendolyn appears to be trustworthy and helps the characters, she and her sister are planning something to do with the Vortex lab and the creation of psychic weapons. At this point, it still seems as they are working on it, but they have plans for the inhabitants of Fogg Lake. I can’t wait to see what stories the author writes for them.

I cannot wait to read what waits for all these characters in future books, and the powers and abilities author Jayne Ann Krentz will create for them. Most of all, I truly want to know more about the Bluestone projects and why they decided to shut it down.

If you liked Jayne Ann Krentz and their work, then I recommend All the Colors of Night. Matchmaking can be easy when you see the auras of those in love and all the colors in the night.

Nice continuation of the series. Im not a fan of instant love but I did expect it with this book. I didn't like the multiple endings format. Will read the next in the series.

Sierra works as a go between for purchasers of psychically charged objects.. North's grandfather was well-known in the psychic community, but his disappearance after allegedly developing psychic weapons has given him the reputation as a traitor. They meet when Sierra is hired to help find out who, and what, caused North's father to be afflicted by locked in syndrome. She learns that someone is trying to disable North, and that there are others who will stop at nothing to prevent Sierra and North from discovering the truth. Jayne Ann Krentz is a master of world building, and if you are looking for a romance with a magical flair, this book would be an excellent choice. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for allowing me to review this novel.

ALL THE COLORS OF NIGHT by Jayne Ann Krentz returns us to Fogg Lake, a town full of paranormal activity and quirky residents. This is a complete standalone paranormal romantic suspense while being the second in her Fogg Lake trilogy.

Psychic investigator North Chastain is looking for an artifact to help his father recover from a psychic coma. In the course of his investigation, he looks into Sierra Raines, who authenticates and transports paranormal artifacts. Sierra is doing her best to recover from a ruined reputation, and she's intrigued by North and the odd sense she has that something is wrong with him.

In the course of their mystery, a conspiracy from the past involves members of a shadowy organization known as the Foundation--North's employer--and the town where Sierra grew up, Fogg Lake.

The two work together to solve several interlocking mysteries, and in the process fall in love and in danger. The mystery in the story works very well and is both complex and involved. But the romance takes a major backseat. The chemistry between the leads is lacking, relegated to the end of the book and some thoughts the characters have for each other, in addition to working together, in the first three quarters of the book.

An enjoyable read and a clever mystery, ALL THE COLORS OF NIGHT will satisfy Jayne Ann Krentz fans and mystery lovers alike.

This is book 2 in the Fogg Lake series and I am so happy that Ms. Krentz has devoted some writing time to the paranormal community she created many years ago. You can read this as a stand alone but you'll want to read book 1, The Vanishing to get some background on previous characters. Fogg Lake is a community of of psychic folks that were studied by the government in an experiment that went very wrong. Now Sierra has been hired by North Chastain to return to the community to help heal his father and clear his grandfather's name. A great story for fans of the paranormal and as always great romance and mystery by one of my favorite writers, Jayne Ann Krentz. I received a copy of this ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.

Action and suspense go hand in hand when a wronged antique expert and the descendant of a famous magician pair up to discover who or what is trying to reanimate an old project that could destroy them all. A slow-burn romance and a cast of cameos from previous storylines will be a happy surprise for fans of Krentz's Arcane and Harmony series.
